Chapter 744: The Plan to Open the Multiverse (First Update)
Chapter 744: The Plan to Open the Multiverse (First Update)
"Ahh!!!"
Struck from behind, Arisem let out a painful scream. The red laser in his eyes vanished, and his body was immediately enveloped by the merciless light from the nine Magic arrays.
Another, even more agonizing scream echoed through the air.
For a full ten seconds, as the Fairy Tail's radiant energy was depleted, Arisem's massive body became pitted and scarred.
"Whoever you are, you're dead!"
Clutching his head and slowly regaining his composure, Arisem glared at Jerry, who was floating before him, seething with rage.
It had been so many years since he had suffered such a severe injury. The last time was during the battle with Nal at the dawn of the universe, when a fellow Celestial had perished.
The critical point was that today, he was facing just a single-universe-level existence, a being a whole tier below him.
"Don't be angry, don't be angry. Life is like a play; we gather because of fate. I merely wanted to spar with the Supreme One. Now I see that the Supreme One truly is supreme, indeed powerful!
I am far from a match for the Supreme One. I'll take my leave. If fate allows, we shall meet again."
Seeing that Arisem, despite his injuries, still maintained formidable combat strength, Jerry knew he couldn't continue. He quickly bowed, opened a portal, and vanished from the spot.
Arisem, seeing Jerry disappear, was momentarily stunned. He wasn't taken aback by Jerry's words but by the failure of his Judgement ability, which could no longer pinpoint Jerry's location.
It was as if Jerry didn't exist in this universe, or even in any other multiverse. This was the first time Arisem had encountered such a situation.
"Who is this guy?"
At this point, Arisem suspected that Jerry might not be just a simple single-universe-level Dimensional Deity. Perhaps Jerry was some ancient being in disguise, otherwise, how could he have bypassed Arisem's Judgement ability?
"I'll go back to the World Forge to heal, and then I'll ask the other Celestials!"
Due to his injuries, Arisem decided to temporarily stop pursuing the traitorous Eternals. He would return to heal and inform the other members of the Celestial Group about today's events, urging them to be on high alert.
If even he, with his immense power, had been injured today, those newly born, single-universe-level Celestials would be in grave danger if they encountered such a foe.
Four or five hours after Arisem's disappearance, a portal opened, and Jerry cautiously stepped out.
"Seems like he's gone. I should head back!"
Sensing his surroundings and confirming that Arisem had indeed left, Jerry teleported back to his home on Earth.
When he opened the portal earlier, he didn't leave this universe; he simply left the Marvel Main World and entered the Fairy Tail world. This is why Arisem's Judgement ability failed.
The Celestial Group, created by Eternity, derived their powers from Eternity. By leaving the Marvel Main Universe and stepping outside Eternity's jurisdiction, Jerry rendered those abilities ineffective.
This was why Jerry felt confident enough to test his skills against Arisem. If things got too dangerous, he could always retreat to a Mini World.
Now that he had the coordinates for the Fairy Tail world, he no longer needed to worry about red stars or cooldown times. He could enter and exit at will, using it as a temporary safe haven.
This time, he didn't anchor the time.
"Quite a bit of effort, but it went smoothly overall."
Returning to his ring world, Jerry nodded contentedly as he looked at the massive Celestial Group embryo standing on Eira.
With the first Celestial in the Dimensional World, the path to continued growth and expansion had finally been set.
Otherwise, relying solely on himself to guide the inexperienced Kulorido and others would be a tremendous waste of time, and he had many more important matters to attend to.
One must always have a backup plan. Having the Celestial guide Kulorido and others in creating new planets, suns, and life was the primary and most fundamental strategy.
However, this alone wasn't enough to meet Jerry's requirements. It was a step forward, at least freeing him from the process, and the Celestial's instinct was to excel at this task, performing it more skillfully and perfectly than he could.
Meanwhile, he was always planning a second strategy. If it worked as he envisioned, it could rapidly expand the Dimensional World, serving as a shortcut.
In essence, this second strategy was similar to how he brought Igoris into the Dimensional World. He intended to transfer an entire system of planets, life, and suns from the universe into his Dimensional World.
Of course, this was easier said than done. Simply transferring them wouldn't automatically expand the Dimensional World; they needed to be integrated with the Dimensional World's own laws to achieve complete absorption.
Another challenge was finding a suitable source for these systemic planets and life.
For example, Earth in this universe wouldn't work. It was connected to many ancient gods and was one of the universe's origin planets. If he absorbed it into his Dimensional World, he might offend many powerful entities.
Similarly, other planets in this universe weren't easy targets. As seen in "Thor 4", many planets had their own gods, who, though not powerful, couldn't be ignored.
Moreover, the Celestial Group had just created a systemic planet in this universe, and if Jerry took it for himself, he would become the Celestial Group's mortal enemy.
Therefore, he planned to open the multiverse, enter other parallel universes in the Marvel universe, and find opportunities to absorb more normal Earths into the Dimensional World.
He chose Earth because, in most parallel universes, Earth's technological level was relatively low. Even if he moved it to his ring world, no one would notice any abnormalities.
If he moved a planet like Xandar, it would likely be noticed almost immediately by their advanced spaceships.
Another personal preference was that, as an Earthling, he wanted his ring world to have more humans like those on Earth.
Absorbing Earths from other parallel universes into his ring world could also be an interesting endeavor. Once he became more powerful, he could do the same with Earth from the main universe.
This way, he wouldn't have to worry about the safety of his loved ones on Earth anymore.
Fortunately, most parallel Earths in the multiverse weren't as dangerous as the main universe's Earth, with fewer ancient gods and hidden powerful entities.
For example, in the Spider-Man universe created by Sam Raimi, the worst threats were usually just mutated creatures from scientific experiments or extraterrestrial visitors, which wouldn't be noticed if they were moved.
