Feng Bu Jue took a long time to calm himself before settling on a reasonable explanation for what had just occurred. He concluded that Wooly was likely not an ordinary game administrator, but rather someone far more powerful than the previously encountered Pan Feng and Hua Xiong.
If Wooly could freely add fake buttons and other elements within a player’s login space, then his disappearance into the mirror wall was probably intentional. The identity he claimed and his cryptic words and questions seemed meaningless upon reflection—unless supernatural forces truly existed, in which case Wooly was merely playing mind games.
Assuming his experience wasn’t a hallucination, the sudden return of fear might indicate his condition was improving. That, he decided, was probably good news.
Feng Bu Jue settled on this rational explanation, dismissing Wooly’s cryptic behavior as irrational nonsense. Since the senior administrator hadn’t warned him about the dangers of playing the game without fear, Feng Bu Jue felt emboldened to ignore the incident entirely. He pushed it aside to avoid spoiling his enjoyment of the open beta.
Returning his focus to the elevator panel, he examined the remaining four buttons. These seemed normal and legitimate.
The "Storage Room" was clearly where players collected rewards and stored equipment. Feng Bu Jue hadn’t yet claimed his fear rating reward from the previous scenario, but he hesitated to retrieve it immediately. Since the mall was now accessible, he suspected game currency would soon prove useful. He decided to explore other options first before choosing his reward.
He pressed the "Conference Room" button. The system prompt appeared:
