Chapter 736: Feng Ye Takes Action
Chapter 736: Feng Ye Takes Action
"Master?"
"Uru..."
Seeing Uru resurrected, both Gray and Leo stared in a daze, their eyes filled with disbelief at the scene before them.
But before they could snap out of their stupor, a massive surge of magical power from a distance jolted them awake, along with Erza and the others, who couldn't help but look in its direction.
"Deirelliora!"
Gray's pupils contracted sharply as he recognized the figure, and cold sweat instantly broke out on his forehead as memories of a long-forgotten fear resurfaced.
With Uru's resurrection, the demon Deirelliora had also returned to life! Gray vividly recalled how he had once sought revenge on Deirelliora, only to nearly lose his life, were it not for Uru's timely rescue. The ensuing intense battle had ended with Uru's defeat and their mutual destruction through Absolute Ice Seal.
Now, although Uru had been resurrected by Feng Ye through some mysterious ability that reversed the Absolute Ice Seal, the resurrection of the demon Deirelliora still sent shivers down Gray's spine.
"...Ah...Ahh..."
Standing beside him, Leo also trembled violently as he witnessed the scene.
His intention had been to use the Moon Drop to melt the Absolute Ice Seal, freeing Deirelliora so that he could defeat it and prove that he had surpassed Uru. But with Uru's resurrection, the foundation of his belief and will crumbled, and the sight of the resurrected Deirelliora, exuding its terrifying magic and formidable aura, caused his body to tremble uncontrollably.
A sense of fear was growing in his heart.
Murder, brutality, trampling, slaughter, carnage, death...
All manner of horrifying auras burst forth from Deirelliora as it roared toward the heavens, shaking the earth. Then, it raised its massive hand, clenched it into a fist, and mercilessly hammered it down toward Feng Ye and the others below.
"Look out!"
Uru's eyes widened as she let out a startled cry, immediately preparing to rush forward and unleash her magic to try and stop the impending attack.
However, before she could take more than a step forward, Erza, standing not far away, suddenly reached out and blocked her path.
Erza stood in front of her, blocking her way and calmly facing the terrifyingly magical Deirelliora without an ounce of fear in her eyes. "Don't worry, just leave it to Feng Ye."
Feng Ye had assured her that he could handle Deirelliora, and Erza trusted him implicitly. Feng Ye never lied, and his humble nature meant that when he said he could deal with Deirelliora, it wasn't just an empty boast or a slight exaggeration—he was undoubtedly far stronger than the demon!
Uru was stopped in her tracks by Erza, and as she looked ahead, she saw that Feng Ye had already turned around, facing Deirelliora with his back to them.
"Be careful!"
Although Feng Ye had reversed the Absolute Ice Seal and resurrected her through some unknown ability, she hadn't sensed any powerful magical fluctuations from him. So, as she watched Deirelliora's fist bearing down on Feng Ye, she couldn't help but call out a warning.
But the next moment, her expression froze.
Gray and Leo, standing nearby, also stared in a daze, especially Leo, who felt as if his entire mind had gone blank in an instant.
Witness!
In the face of Deirelliora's overwhelming fist, imbued with surging magic far surpassing the power of the Ten Wizard Saints, Feng Ye merely clenched his right hand into a simple fist and met it head-on, as if casually swinging his fist through the air.
His fist, in comparison to Deirelliora's massive one, seemed like a tiny pebble facing a towering statue. Yet, this single punch obliterated everything above it in an instant, as if it were a paintbrush wiping away the scene with a single stroke!
Visible!
The upper half of Deirelliora's body vanished, along with the entire upper half of the ruins, which turned to powder in the blink of an eye, revealing the darkening sky outside!
Even more astonishing was the appearance of cracks in the sky, high above, as if the entire heavens had been pierced by that single punch!
"This..."
Lucy stared, dumbfounded, her hands covering her mouth in disbelief. "Isn't this a bit too exaggerated?!"
Even Erza, gazing up at the vanished upper half of the ruins, including Deirelliora's upper body, and the countless cracks in the sky, wore an expression of shock.
Feng Ye slowly lowered his fist, turned around, and smiled casually. "Those aren't cracks in the sky. They are cracks in the Moon Drop. These people gathered the power of moonlight, but a portion of the stray moonlight formed a membrane above the island, and that is what was shattered."
Erza's eyes widened as realization dawned on her, and she murmured, "I see."
Lucy, too, heaved a sigh of relief and gave a slight nod, her eyes still reflecting the lingering fright. "I knew it... It's impossible to shatter the sky. That would be too outrageous. Something like that is definitely unachievable."
Feng Ye glanced at her and smiled gently, choosing not to explain that he could easily pierce the sky if he wanted to, striking through the Celestial Spirit World and even punching through its entire firmament.
Doing so would bring about a catastrophic event on a global scale, and there was simply no need to create such a spectacle just for show.
"Alright."
Feng Ye lowered his hand and, ignoring the half-body of Deirelliora behind him, turned to face Uru. In a calm tone, he said, "You probably don't understand what just happened, so why don't you let your disciple, Gray, explain the situation to you?"
At this, he glanced at Gray, prompting him to speak.
Gray gradually snapped out of his daze and, after a moment of locking eyes with Feng Ye, took a deep breath to steady himself. Then, he turned to face Uru.
Suppressing the surge of emotions that came with seeing his master again, he quickly recounted the events that had transpired, leaving Uru momentarily stunned. Then, he looked at Leo and sighed helplessly.
"Surpass her."
This wasn't just Leo's personal goal; it was the goal Uru had set for him. However, after her "death," it had become a shackle that drove Leo to obsession. Uru wanted to reprimand him, but seeing Leo battered and bruised from Erza's beating, she could only sigh in resignation.
Feng Ye paid no heed to the reunion between Uru and her disciples. Instead, he shifted his gaze to the latecomer, Natsu, and said with a hint of amusement, "Well, Natsu, I hope that S-class mission of yours was worth the trouble."
"..."
Natsu, still unsure of what had transpired, stiffened at Feng Ye's words. Happy, flying by his side, also froze.
The two exchanged glances and, without a word, nodded simultaneously before turning and running in the opposite direction.
Thud! Thud!
Feng Ye made no move, but Erza's eyes narrowed. With a swift step, she pursued the fleeing pair and swung her sword, smacking Natsu and Happy on their heads with the flat of her blade. She then grabbed Happy's tail and Natsu's scarf, hoisting them into the air before tossing them to the ground.
"The matter isn't over yet, Natsu! Come with me to see the master!"
