Chapter 735: Do You Deserve to Share the Wizarding World with Me?
Chapter 735: Do You Deserve to Share the Wizarding World with Me?
Voldemort's strength was slightly inferior to Dumbledore's when the latter wielded the Elder Wand. This was certain.
Otherwise, with Voldemort's haughty nature, he wouldn't have feared Dumbledore like a tiger, even at the peak of his power, he wouldn't have dared to invade Hogwarts, which Dumbledore guarded.
Of course, Dumbledore wouldn't have found it easy to defeat or kill Voldemort either. So, to some extent, their powers were balanced.
And Ivan became the key to breaking this balance. Standing on either side would be enough to tip the scales of the entire conflict.
Understanding all this, Ivan had little interest in Voldemort's proposal. He shook his head and said bluntly, "I advise you to put aside these divisive thoughts, Voldemort."
"Is that so? Do you think Dumbledore will stand by you? If he knew what you've been up to in Knockturn Alley, he might not tolerate you..." Voldemort scanned the Aurors surrounding him and sneered, offering a warning.
In Voldemort's view, Ivan and himself were the same kind of people, pursuing power, recruiting followers, all with the aim of seizing control of the Wizarding World.
Dumbledore would never tolerate such a person. The reason they hadn't yet clashed was simply because Ivan had been a better actor than Voldemort had been in the past, and Dumbledore hadn't seen through him yet...
"If you join the Death Eaters, you will be my most trusted right-hand man and successor. Once we deal with Dumbledore, we can rule the entire Wizarding World together!" Voldemort tried to entice him.
Ivan sneered, not saying a word. He didn't believe a single word Voldemort said.
If he really agreed, everything he had done in Knockturn Alley would be working for Voldemort. During this time, he would be under Voldemort's control and would have to be cautious of Voldemort's attempts to undermine his position in Knockturn Alley, which would be a losing proposition.
More importantly, Dumbledore's survival until the start of the school year was uncertain. There was no need to worry about him, so the current situation wasn't a three-way balance as Voldemort imagined, but a true struggle between two tigers.
Once news of Dumbledore's death spread, this fragile alliance would shatter instantly. At that point, the strengthened Death Eater army would become another trump card Voldemort could use against him.
With this in mind, Ivan completely abandoned any thoughts of escape.
He understood that this fight was inevitable.
Even if he couldn't reduce Voldemort back to a mere fragment of a soul, he had to make Voldemort fear his power. Only then would Voldemort refrain from rash actions after Dumbledore's death, giving Ivan enough time to grow stronger.
With his decision made, the wary expression on Ivan's face vanished, replaced by a mix of arrogance and disdain.
"You overestimate yourself, Tom. Do you really think you deserve to share the Wizarding World with me?"
As he spoke, Ivan took a step toward Voldemort, and crimson dragon scales began to emerge from his skin, covering his exposed flesh.
Under the effect of Dragon Transformation, Ivan's presence grew more formidable. Everyone present felt as if a fierce dragon had descended upon the square.
"I'd rather kill you here and then find a way to kill Dumbledore... The Wizarding World needs only one ruler!" Ivan stepped up to Voldemort, enunciating each word clearly.
"Stubborn fool, you're courting your own death!" Voldemort laughed in anger, his burgeoning rage no longer restrained. His aura intertwined with Ivan's, and the two were nearly evenly matched.
The Aurors on the field found themselves in dire straits, feeling as if they were boats in a raging storm, at constant risk of capsizing...
"Attack together, kill him!" Asia shouted loudly.
To avoid distracting Ivan, she had been holding back her concerns and refrained from interrupting their conversation. Now that Ivan had decided to kill Voldemort, she naturally wouldn't object and immediately rallied everyone to join the fight.
She didn't believe that so many Wizards would be unable to defeat Voldemort alone!
At Asia's call, only a dozen or so of the forty-plus Aurors responded immediately, their wands glowing with various lights. The rest were either slow to react or hesitated, too fearful to act.
"Stand down! Don't interfere with my fun. You are no match for him; I will deal with him personally!"
Just as Asia and the others were about to launch their attack, Ivan's voice cut through the air.
The Aurors looked at Ivan in surprise, confused by his order. However, Ivan merely waved his hand, commanding Asia and the surrounding Aurors to move as far away as possible.
Unless he was completely indifferent to their lives, ordinary Wizards would only be a burden in a battle of this caliber...
Especially with Asia here. If Voldemort attacked her, forcing Ivan to turn back to save her, it would complicate things.
At Ivan's command, the Aurors breathed a silent sigh of relief and retreated to the corners of the square.
Asia, however, watched Ivan with deep concern, her mouth opening and closing as if she wanted to say something but held back. She knew very well that Ivan was no match for Voldemort.
But seeing Ivan's confident demeanor, Asia hesitated and stepped back with the others. She knew she couldn't help and might even become a liability.
Voldemort paid no attention to the Aurors' actions, as if they didn't exist. Instead, he watched the Dragon Scales covering Ivan with a mix of caution and greed.
If he hadn't misunderstood, this was already the third form of blood magic Ivan had displayed!
Voldemort's gaze shifted from caution to greed as he realized that Ivan had managed to combine three bloodlines without losing control—something even he couldn't do.
Clearly, Ivan had discovered the method to fuse multiple bloodlines, something Voldemort had longed for!
"Looks like you have quite a few secrets... but I'll soon dig them out of your mind!" Voldemort muttered with a fanatic gleam in his eyes.
"Instead of that, I suggest you think about how to escape from my hands..." Ivan said sarcastically, adding silently to himself.
Protection Mode, activate!
Five Legendary Points vanished, and an indescribable surge of power filled him. The Magic dormant in his body became instantly active, and everything within a hundred-meter radius came under his control.
Unlike before, Ivan wasn't activating Protection Mode to fuse a new bloodline. He had only one thought in mind: to kill Voldemort!
