Chapter 734: Gathering of the Eternals (First Update)
Chapter 734: Gathering of the Eternals (First Update)
After Sersi's explanation, although the Water Sprite did not fully trust Jerry's words, she was willing to go with Sersi to find the other companions and ask Ajak for the truth.
Because the Water Sprite's body could not grow, living among humans was not convenient for her. She had always wanted to return to her home planet, where everyone would treat her as an adult.
If the Divine Manifestation was real, she might be able to return to her home planet in a few years, which would be a good thing for her. If it was a lie, she could use this opportunity to contact Ajak and ask when she could return to her home planet.
Among the ten Eternals, only the leader Ajak could communicate with Althea the Supreme through a special device in his body.
"Alright, who should we find next?"
Seeing the Water Sprite confirm her participation, Jerry looked at Sersi.
Sersi was about to speak, but the Water Sprite interjected:
"Let's find Ginger. I know that guy is now a star in Bollywood!"
The reason they were looking for Ginger first was that the Water Sprite had previously lived with Ginger. One day, Ginger left her without a word, and the Water Sprite came to seek refuge with Sersi.
"Then let's go to Bollywood."
Jerry didn't mind; for him, it was just a matter of an instant.
Placing his hands on Sersi's and the Water Sprite's shoulders, Jerry teleported them directly to Bollywood, which is the film industry in Mumbai, India.
Upon entering the film studio, the Water Sprite immediately used her Illusion ability to make herself, Sersi, and Jerry invisible.
After wandering around the film studio for twenty minutes, they finally found Ginger, who was filming "Shadow Warrior 2."
Ginger's ability was to condense cosmic energy into highly destructive beams, which he could shoot from his arms. He was a ranged shooter type of Eternal.
After the Eternals disbanded, he had lived with the Water Sprite. Later, tired of moving every five years, he secretly went to Bollywood and became a movie star.
He then continued to be active in Bollywood under the fake identities of son, grandson, and great-grandson.
After hearing Sersi's explanation, he hesitated for a moment, fearing it would delay the filming schedule, but ultimately decided to go with Sersi and the others to find Ajak and learn the truth.
If Earth was really going to be destroyed, his film career would also come to an end.
"Can I bring my assistant, Calen? He wants to film a documentary about us Eternals."
Just as Jerry was about to open a portal to the next location, Ginger quickly brought over a man in his forties carrying a camera.
That was his assistant, who had once discovered his identity and mistaken him for a vampire, almost stabbing him with a crucifix. But after learning his story, he became Ginger's most loyal admirer.
"To film a documentary about the great Eternals and Mr. Witch, I will have lived a life without regret!"
Ginger's assistant held the camera, his face full of excitement.
Jerry shrugged:
"I don't mind, you should ask Sersi and the others."
Jerry used Magic on Earth, ensuring that his image would not appear in the documentary unless he wanted it to.
Sersi and the Water Sprite were not very enthusiastic about Ginger's assistant or the idea of filming a documentary, but they nodded in the end, considering Ginger's request.
Thus, Jerry opened the portal to the next location.
In the central United States, in the state of South Dakota, a remote and desolate area stood a house built entirely of mud.
Jerry and four others stepped through the teleportation portal, appearing in front of a house.
Ginger excitedly explained to the assistant holding the camera:
"You're about to meet our two most powerful warriors: our legendary and lethal female warrior, Thena, and her best partner, the fearsome and immensely strong Gilgamesh, who can kill a mutated beast with just a few punches!"
After finishing, Ginger called out loudly to the house.
"Gilgamesh! Gilgamesh! Your best friends are here to see you!"
Seemingly hearing Ginger's shouts, the wooden door of the house was suddenly pushed open, and a man who looked like a bear, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, walked out.
"Ginger, you idiot, keep it down. Thena is sleeping. If you wake her up, you'll be in trouble!"
Gilgamesh waved the spatula at Ginger as a warning, then turned to Sersi and the Water Sprite, his face softening into a gentle smile.
"Old friends, it's been centuries since we last met."
"Indeed, how has Thena been these past years?"
Sersi's face also showed a tender smile.
Years ago, Thena had gone mad due to Eternal Madness, injuring all her companions. The leader, Ajak, had ordered her to be sent back to the ship for memory cleansing and treatment. However, Gilgamesh had strongly advocated for her, bringing Thena to this remote area far from any humans to protect her and prevent her from harming others.
"She's much better. She hasn't had an episode in decades. Who are these two?"
Gilgamesh looked at Jerry and Ginger's assistant, Calen, with some confusion.
Sersi introduced them:
"This is Mr. Witch Jerry Carmen, and that's Ginger's assistant, Mr. Calen. We're here on important business."
Sersi was about to tell Gilgamesh about the "Divine Manifestation" when the wooden door opened again, revealing a beautiful woman in a white dress.
"It's been so long, everyone!"
"Thena!"
The Water Sprite, seeing Thena, rushed forward and hugged her, like a child embracing a mother.
"I made a lot of delicious food. Let's talk while we eat."
Gilgamesh reached into a nearby homemade fire pit and pulled out a sizzling, freshly baked apple pie.
"Hearing that, I'm feeling a bit hungry myself."
Ginger, seeing the apple pie in Gilgamesh's hands, rubbed his stomach. It was noon, and it was time for lunch, so everyone accepted Gilgamesh's invitation to sit down at the long table inside the house and enjoy a meal of unique dishes from the Trojan period.
"What? You mean the Supreme Althea sent us to Earth to sacrifice it and create a new Celestial?"
At the dining table, Gilgamesh's face showed shock and disbelief as Sersi recounted the story of the "Divine Manifestation."
Gilgamesh was the strongest and most resilient of the ten Eternals, but he was also the kindest and most good-tempered. He never participated in arguments among his companions, preferring to quietly protect everyone, especially his beloved Thena.
So, naturally, he couldn't accept the truth about the "Divine Manifestation."
"This is the information from Mr. Witch. The facts are still uncertain, so I want you and Thena to come with us to verify it with Ajak. I don't want us to end up as the executioners of Earth and humanity!"
Sersi explained.
