Unless something unexpected happens, this book will be published tomorrow evening after eight o'clock.
Currently, there are already more than ten thousand people following the story, and the number of followers before publication has surpassed that of my previous book, "Duel City." This book has topped the new book charts for a full week. My editor hopes that I can achieve ten thousand pre-orders, which really surprised me.
"Duel City" is currently the only Game King fanfiction with an average of ten thousand pre-orders, which already felt like a dream. Now it looks like this book also has a chance to reach ten thousand pre-orders. I never expected that there would be so many fellow card players out there!
So far, only 162 books across the entire site have achieved the "Ten Thousand Pre-orders" badge. Whether we can make this the first Game King fanfiction to earn that badge is now up to all of you duelists.
Tomorrow's update will definitely start with at least ten thousand characters, and I'll strive for twenty thousand. Of course, I also want to burst out with ten updates in a day, but I really don't have that many chapters in reserve. Those of you who have been following since the start of this new book will probably know that whenever I get my hands on new cards, I want to do my best to release them all in one go, so I often end up adding extra chapters instead of saving up a large reserve. Also for the same reason, the word count is about to exceed two hundred thousand, which means we'll have to bid farewell to the new book rankings soon. Ah, what a pity! It looks like we can only stay at the top of the rankings for a couple more days.
However, the burst of updates won't end in just one day, and I'll continue to strive for multiple updates afterward. I know that you guys really care about the card games dragging on for multiple days, so I'll still do my best to finish each game in one day for regular matches. But for crucial matches like boss battles, a single match might take up several tens of thousands of words, which is impossible to write in one day. After all, this is a card-playing novel, and from time to time, there will be lengthy card duels.
I'll leave it at that for now. Instead of racking my brains for more of these heartfelt words, I'd rather write another chapter for tomorrow's extra update.
