Chapter 728: The Dominant Hela (1st Update)
Chapter 728: The Dominant Hela (1st Update)
The next day, by the Norwegian coast.
Odin, stripped of his golden armor, stood there like an ordinary old man. Thor and Loki stood on either side of him.
Jerry, at Odin's request, remained invisible in the air, not showing himself.
"Father, why did you suddenly come to Earth, and with this guy!"
Thor looked at Loki, his eyes clearly filled with confusion.
Just moments ago, he had been shopping with Jane, picking out a new brand of beer that had just been released. Suddenly, he received Odin's command to come to Norway.
When he arrived, he realized not only was Odin there, but his brother Loki, who had been imprisoned in the Dungeon, was also present.
"My dear brother, it seems you're living quite comfortably in Midgard. Why don't you stay here forever and let me rule Asgard?"
Loki looked at Thor's clearly beer-bloated belly and a mocking smile spread across his face.
In truth, Loki had no idea why Odin had suddenly changed his mind and released him from punishment, bringing him to Earth. However, he wouldn't show any weakness in front of Thor.
"Hmph, you'll have to ask Mjolnir if it agrees with that!"
Thor raised his hammer, and the clear sky instantly darkened with a cloud.
Loki, not one to back down, summoned his two daggers with a wave of his hand.
"I'm not afraid of you, watch your back!"
Odin looked at his two ungrateful sons and couldn't help but sigh.
They were over a thousand years old and still so immature. Look at Jerry, who, despite being less than a century old, had already surpassed him in power. How could the gap between gods and mortals be so vast?
"Enough. You are brothers and my sons. I hope in the future, you can work together to make Asgard a better place, rather than just arguing."
"I share no blood with you, and Asgard can only have one king—either him or me!"
Loki coldly snorted at Odin's words.
Thor, seeing Loki's usual obnoxious attitude, was so angry that he almost raised his hammer to strike him.
But before he could act, Odin's words froze him in place.
"I am going to die, today."
Odin looked at his two sons and spoke slowly.
"That's impossible!"
Loki looked at Odin in disbelief, his hands trembling, almost dropping his daggers.
Though he hated Odin for favoring Thor and for imprisoning him in the Dungeon, he still loved his father deep down. He didn't truly want to be the king of Asgard; he just wanted his father's approval.
So when he heard that Odin was about to die, his heart was as heavy as Thor's.
"I have wronged you both. After my death, your sister Hela will break free from the seal. If you cannot work together, Asgard will be destroyed."
Odin looked at Thor and Loki and told them the story of his first daughter, Hela.
After finishing, without waiting for Thor or Loki to ask any questions, he transformed into a flurry of golden light and disappeared.
"Jerry, I leave the rest to you."
As Odin vanished in a burst of golden light, the invisible Jerry in the air nodded silently.
He was a man of his word. Odin had given him the Eternal Flame and shared the experience of creating a dimensional world, which allowed him to successfully establish his own dimensional world.
So, he would follow Odin's wishes and help resolve the issue with Hela.
Besides, Thor was one of his few friends, and even without the deal with Odin, he wouldn't stand idly by.
As for Loki, they had some minor conflicts in the past, but with his current strength, Loki was no longer a concern. Therefore, there was no need to worry about any potential threats from Loki in the future.
"The seal is broken!"
After Odin transformed into a golden light and disappeared, Jerry could clearly feel the power of the seal, which had been maintained by Odinforce, rapidly weakening and eventually vanishing.
Another powerful energy, carrying an aura of death, gradually awakened and broke free from the Spatial Bonds, descending upon Earth.
In front of Thor and Loki, a powerful green death energy tore through the spatial fabric. A woman in black Asgardian battle armor, with a commanding presence, walked out with a confident stride.
"So, he's dead. What a pity, I didn't get to kill him myself!"
Hela glanced at Thor and Loki, instantly understanding the reason for the seal's release.
Thor, holding Mjolnir, looked at his sister, who shared his bloodline, and hesitated before speaking:
"You are Hela? I am Thor, son of Odin."
"Really? You don't look much like him."
Hela shook her head, looking at the naive Thor.
"We are all siblings. I think we don't need to make the atmosphere so tense. Why don't we sit down and talk first?"
Loki hid the dagger behind his back and put on a fake smile as he spoke to Hela.
Hela, seeing Loki's expression, showed a look of disdain:
"You do look a lot like him!"
With that, she took two steps forward, her eyes filled with a domineering gaze as she looked at Thor and Loki:
"Kneel!"
"What?"
Loki looked at Hela in disbelief. He had never met anyone so arrogant, daring to command him and Thor, the most honored princes of Asgard, soon to be kings, to kneel.
However, Hela showed no interest in answering Loki's question. She instantly transformed into her combat form and repeated her command:
"Kneel, show your allegiance to your queen, and I will spare your lives!"
"Using Jerry's words, I think you're joking."
Thor was enraged by Hela's provocation and immediately threw Mjolnir at her.
He hadn't wanted to fight, as Hela was his sister by blood, but it seemed she was as domineering as Odin had described.
So he would have to defeat her first and then lock her away in Asgard's dungeon.
"Looks like Mjolnir is about to break."
Jerry, hidden in the air, watched Thor throw Mjolnir at Hela and immediately guessed what would happen next.
After all, Mjolnir was originally Hela's weapon as the Executioner of Asgard. Only after Hela was sealed did Odin give it to his son Thor.
So using Mjolnir against Hela was like a futile effort, with no chance of success.
Sure enough, Hela easily caught the flying Mjolnir with one hand and, to the shock of Thor and Loki, crushed it and tossed the pieces to the ground.
"This can't be!"
"Little ones, you have no idea what is possible."
Hela dropped the broken Mjolnir, summoned two sharp swords, and laughed as she walked toward Thor and Loki.
