Chapter 725: Feng Ye's Popularity
Chapter 725: Feng Ye's Popularity
Lucy Heartfilia had always admired the Fairy Tail guild, or she wouldn't have come here in the first place. On top of that, Feng Ye had saved Layla when she was just a child, so he was undoubtedly the object of her admiration and respect.
At this moment, seeing Feng Ye again and realizing that he remembered her, the joy and excitement in her heart were indescribable. Her big eyes sparkled as she watched him carry the bottle and walk forward.
Then, Feng Ye raised his hand and gently tossed the bottle away, simultaneously flicking his fingers.
In an instant, the brawling within the room froze. Natsu Dragneel and Gray Fullbuster, who had been wrestling each other, Elfman Strauss, who had been caught in the crossfire, and Wendy Marvell, who had been protected by Lisanna Strauss and the others, were all suddenly immobilized.
Whoosh! Whoosh!!
With a gentle upward flick of Feng Ye's fingers, those who had been frozen cried out as they floated into the air and hovered.
Then, a stunning scene unfolded. The shattered tables and chairs and the broken glassware seemed to rewind in time, quickly reassembling and restoring themselves.
The cracked floor mended swiftly.
The overturned furniture righted itself.
In just a few seconds, the entire guild was back to its original state, with no signs of any damage.
As the building fully restored itself, Feng Ye flicked his fingers once more, and Natsu and the others floating in the air fell to the ground with a crash.
However,
Feng Ye deliberately separated the boys from the girls. Natsu and Gray were tossed to one side, while Lisanna, Cana Alberona, and the rest of the girls were gently placed in a pile on the other side.
Wendy, being only twelve and still a little girl, found herself sandwiched between Lisanna and Cana, her face buried in their midst, turning a bright shade of red. She froze, too embarrassed to struggle.
The topic of breasts was something she desperately wanted to avoid.
"Wow..."
Watching as Feng Ye effortlessly restored order to the chaotic guild, Lucy couldn't help but exclaim in awe. Indeed, Feng Ye remained her idol, just as he had been when she was a child.
Natsu and the others tumbled into a heap, while Lisanna and the girls, though piled together, were gently set down and quickly jumped apart.
"Big Brother Feng Ye!!"
"Sir Feng Ye!!"
Lisanna, Juvia Lockser, and the others looked at Feng Ye with delighted expressions and rushed toward him, burying him in their midst.
Feng Ye stood there, with one person hanging off his front and another off his back, and one on each arm. Only Wendy, feeling a bit shy, blinked at him from the sidelines.
"You guys," Feng Ye sighed helplessly, "It's only been three months since I was away."
Three months ago, he had ventured into another parallel world but returned empty-handed. He chose this day to return, knowing it was the day Lucy would arrive.
Lucy, witnessing this scene, couldn't help but break into a sweat. "Feng Ye really is too popular in the guild," she mumbled.
"Of course," Mira Jane replied, standing next to Lucy, her gem-like eyes curved like crescents as she smiled gently. "Who wouldn't want to be Feng Ye's girlfriend?"
"Ah?!" Lucy exclaimed, her mouth hanging open as she turned to Mira. "Miss Mira, you too...?"
Mira nodded, her eyes sparkling, not bothering to hide her feelings. "Yes, I like Feng Ye, too."
Lucy's lips twitched as she silently thought, "I knew he'd be popular, but this is a bit too much."
Just as she was inwardly complaining—
From behind—
Another figure entered the guild, none other than the guild's master, Makarov Dreyar.
Makarov leaped onto the bar counter, pipe in mouth, and surveyed the scene before him. "Well, well, you lot have been causing quite a ruckus again, I see. And who might that adorable young lady be over there? Is she here for a job request?"
"Ohho! Lucy, is it?"
Makarov feigned realization before giving Lucy an appraising look and offering a kindly smile. "Very well, no problem. I approve."
Makarov's words caused Lucy's eyes to widen in surprise. "Eh... What?! It's that easy? Why does the Master know me, too?!"
"Hahaha, well, you see..."
Mira smiled at Lucy and then pulled her close, whispering an explanation.
Upon hearing Mira's explanation about the parallel world of Edolas, Lucy remained stunned for a long while. But being a mage herself and one who dealt with Celestial Spirits, she quickly accepted and understood the concept, exclaiming in awe:
"The world is truly magical."
"Indeed, it is."
Mira chuckled softly before taking out the guild's stamp and pressing it onto the back of Lucy's hand, leaving the mark of the Fairy Tail guild. "There! All done!"
Lucy's large eyes sparkled with starlight as she raised her right hand. "This means I'm a Fairy Tail wizard now..."
Just then, Feng Ye's gentle voice sounded from beside them.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail."
"!"
Lucy started at the sound of his voice and immediately turned to see Feng Ye leaning against the counter. She hadn't even noticed when he had approached, and now he took a glass of juice from Mira.
Feeling a sense of pressure in his presence, Lucy stuttered, "Umm... Do you... Do you still remember... from before..."
"Of course, I remember."
Feng Ye smiled amiably. "I once visited your family's estate and treated your mother for her Magic Deficiency Disease. You've grown up since then."
Hearing Feng Ye's warm words, Lucy felt herself immersed in a warm glow, and a hint of crimson tinted her cheeks as she nodded, her eyes curved in a smile.
"Yes! Thank you so much for that!"
"It was just a job," Feng Ye replied with a casual smile. Then, recalling how he had once posed as Lucy's father when disciplining Jude, he paused briefly before reaching into thin air.
He retrieved a key that shimmered with a magical array, and with a slight shake, a young girl of about thirteen or fourteen appeared. Dressed as a maid, she wore handcuffs and held a whip, and her eyes were fixed on Feng Ye with utmost seriousness as she asked, "Master, do you wish to punish me?!"
"Pfft!"
Lucy nearly spat out her drink, staring at Feng Ye in a daze.
Feng Ye laughed sheepishly and spread his hands in a helpless gesture. "This is Virgo, the Celestial Spirit of the Virgo constellation. She's a masochist, and though she may look young, she only appears this way based on her master's preferences. Anyway, since you've joined Fairy Tail, I'll give you the Virgo key."
"Eh... Eh?!"
Lucy's eyes widened in surprise.
She felt she now understood why Feng Ye was even more popular than she had imagined. For a Celestial Spirit Mage like herself, the keys to the Zodiac spirits were undoubtedly the most precious of treasures!
Virgo's eyes widened in surprise, and she pouted slightly, looking a little hurt. "Master, you don't want me anymore?"
Feng Ye's eyes held a hint of helplessness as he said, "I'm just having you work for Lucy as a Celestial Spirit. Besides, even without the key, I can still open the door. You know that."
"Understood!"
Virgo nodded firmly and then turned to Lucy, asking, "Princess, do you wish to punish me?"
Lucy: "..."
