Chapter 72: Goldhorned Beast, You're Too Dangerous!
Chapter 72: Goldhorned Beast, You’re Too Dangerous!
Inside the War God Palace…
Luo Feng laid bare all the information he’d received from Babata. A heavy silence fell over the chamber. The usual arrogance of War God Ranks, Legislators, and politicians melted into anxious squirming, as if an invisible hand had gripped their throats.
Stellar Class… Could this mean humanity’s extinction?
Luo Feng ignored their reactions, rising to approach Hong. He requested the list of ancient civilization ruins, determined to gamble on a future for humanity.
Hong sent him the list but held Luo Feng’s shoulder, clearly wanting to say more. He turned toward the Jiang Clan’s Legislator seat.
Though impatient, Luo Feng waited patiently.
Hong’s voice cut through the tension: “Jiang Clan—Jiang Lie—are you still unwilling to act?”
The room froze.
But many Legislators and War Gods brightened, recalling a teenage Legislator who’d vanished for over a decade. Did Hong imply the Jiang Clan had a solution? Had that youth broken through to Stellar Class?
The thought of finding a giant to hold up the collapsing sky eased their dread. Hope flickered in their eyes as they turned to Elder Jiang.
Luo Feng finally noticed the uniqueness of the Jiang Clan’s seats—their displayed combat power list.
“One, two, three… seven?!”
“Seven Stellar-Level warriors? Babata, did the Jiang Clan gain so much during the Muya Crystal conflict?”
He paused, shaking his head. “No—their bear-like junior I met before my first trip to Mist Island was already Stellar-Level.”
“Jiang Clan… Hmph. Jiang Clan!”
Babata’s muttered repetition carried bitter disdain. As Hu Yanbo’s sentient AI, even after being manipulated by Jiang Zhe and Orianna, it still looked down on them all—humans included, Luo Feng being no exception.
Choosing Luo Feng as heir? Merely picking the tallest dwarf.
“Luo Feng, you know what I said about Yunmo Star’s inheritance being stolen. I never told you who, but combining that with your past experiences… Can’t you guess it’s in the Jiang Clan’s hands?”
Traditional Martial Arts Hall? Jiang Clan? Yunmo Star?
Luo Feng nodded. He’d suspected as much.
Meanwhile, Elder Jiang sighed. “First Councilor, my grandson’s cultivation hit a snag. His sentient AI took all our slaves as guards—I can’t command it. We can’t spare a Stellar Class Mentalist.”
Chaos erupted.
Did they hear right? Beings as strong as the Goldhorned Beast were mere slaves to the Jiang Clan? And there might be more than one?!
To prove his words, Elder Jiang summoned Kaiming Beast, projecting an image: a metallic automaton guarding a snow-covered cave where a disheveled youth slept.
“He’s slept since September 57th… Maybe forever.”
Luo Feng recognized the youth’s bone structure instantly. “That boy I thought was fictional?!”
Babata murmured, “Earth’s first Mentalist—natural Brain Domain Width of 40!”
“If only he hadn’t rejected the Soul Mark inheritance…”
Luo Feng realized, “He was cultivating me? And your gift, Babata, was his sacrifice?”
Grateful and curious, Luo Feng asked, “Is he okay? Why’s he unknown?”
“Hope he’s dead.”
Babata hastily corrected, sensing Luo Feng’s anger. “I can’t analyze his state—his AI surpasses mine. As for his obscurity? You’ve heard of him. That brat is Jiang Zhe.”
“Jiang Zhe? Creator of the three Power Release Manuals? He’s my age?!”
“His records were erased or locked by sentient Ais. The Jiang Clan went silent for a decade. Only half here remember him—notice how few discuss him?”
Suddenly, Kaiming Beast spoke: “Call from Lady Orianna.”
“Project it!”
Elder Jiang burned his bridges. “Unless you want the Clan disgraced—or his wrath when he wakes—send the slave guards!”
The call connected, but the screen showed not a brass automaton, but a youth in dark armor. His eyes, like stellar nodes, calmed the room’s panic.
“Elder Jiang… All here? I know everything.”
“Don’t panic—I’ll act.”
“Keep the call open. This farce ends now.”
The camera panned back, revealing Jiang Zhe atop a silver shuttle above Earth’s Highest Peak. His helmet sealed, a dark purple gauntlet adorned his arm—Wrathful Ape Pattern gleaming like art.
Mental Energy surged. Mistshadow Shuttle launched.
“Track his speed! Calculate arrival time!”
White-coated researchers scrambled. An elder reported, “80 km/s—five times Goldhorned Beast’s speed!”
“Five times? Hah! Earth’s saved! He’ll crush that beast!”
“80 km/s? He’ll arrive in three minutes—North America’s saved!”
The room’s gloom lifted. The Jiang Clan rejoiced—Jiang Zhe had finally emerged from his “danger.” Goldhorned Beast? If not for Orianna’s diversion of two slave squads, it’d have died at birth.
Luo Feng exhaled, awed. As a Stellar-Level 4 Mentalist, his Skyfaring Needle maxed at 6.5 km/s.
“Babata? His power?”
“Stellar 9th?! Impossible!”
“This speed surpasses Stellar 9th!”
“Ten years to Stellar 9th? Is he even Earth-born? Why faster than top-tier races?”
The 1.5m demon muttered, “Millions of Primordial Units lost…”
“Boss, he should’ve been your perfect heir!”
“Why reject my demonic Babata’s tutelage?!”
Luo Feng chuckled, shrugging. He focused on the live feed.
“Jiang Zhe’s near—but Goldhorned Beast sensed him, fleeing!”
A researcher cried, "Golden patterns on its body—using a speed secret technique!"
“Jiang Zhe’s speed spiked to 100 km/s!”
“Human flight speed?!”
“30 seconds to intercept! 25… 18! It’s turning!”
Above the Atlantic, the 200m beast roared. Stellar 9th? Just a weak human.
Wings flared, golden Secret Patterns blazing, it charged.
“Goldhorned Beast—you’re too dangerous!”
Jiang Zhe’s left hand swept—72 Huisuo’s Hand needles flew. Nine per cluster, dark purple threads wove eight 3-foot lightning spears. Unseen by cameras, the beast’s wings and limbs pierced. Two spears blew its head like a melon.
Dead? That’s “too dangerous”?
The room erupted in cheers. The crisis ended.
Jiang Zhe knew better—Primordial Core meant survival. His Mental Energy flooded the corpse, crushing its Consciousness Ocean. An immature Star Sky Beast? Even Nolan Mountain Clan knew an Illusionist could dominate it.
Jiang Zhe’s will, rivaling Realm Lords, mastered the Hu Yanbo illusion arts. He crushed resistance, subdued the beast, and caught its falling corpse. Orianna sealed it into her World Bracelet, where mechanical puppets began repairs.
Jiang Zhe faced the camera: “The tragedy ends. A pity for our fallen North American kin…”
