Chapter 705: Let Me Teach You How to Play with Sea Water!
Chapter 705: Let Me Teach You How to Play with Sea Water!
The eerie glow on the blade sent forth an unusually terrifying aura, making everyone’s expression instantly grim.
Black Death…
They were no strangers to this term.
Decades ago, this horrific plague had raged like a natural disaster, leaving death and destruction in its wake. The memory of its terrifying symptoms—severe headaches, burning fevers, and bodies turning pitch-black—still sent shivers down their spines.
Could this pirate create such a pathogen?!
Lida had just finished off Mojas when she noticed the eerie glow on Bexi’s sword. Her expression hardened as Haki surged from her fists up her arms, soon enveloping her entire body in full-body Haki Armament. Only the intricate patterns around her ears remained visible, like armor hugging her frame.
“Stop him!” she gritted out. “Don’t let him unleash that ability!”
Bexi stood directly opposite the Golden Lion’s ship, where countless Navy officers were stationed. If the Black Death spread here, it would be a nightmare.
“Superspeed Shave!”
Without needing further urging, Klah, still in his transformed state, crouched low and shot forward like a beast.
Ju Geng swiftly drew his bow, the string taut like a full moon. With a flick of his fingers, four arrows streaked toward Bexi like meteors.
“Majia Majia!”
Binz hurled several Seeds, which twisted wildly mid-air before morphing into vines that lashed at Bexi.
“It’s already too late.”
Bexi’s malevolent grin widened as he swung his blade. “Taste the terror of ancient plagues!”
Hiss!
The eerie glow expanded—but suddenly, a wispy afterimage flickered behind him.
Black light flashed across his neck, slicing through it like silk.
It was Autumn Water!
Kuro, who had somehow broken free from his duel with Smiths, had appeared behind Bexi. His blade carved a perfect ring of blood around Bexi’s throat.
Tap.
Kuro landed lightly on his toes, a cigar dangling from his lips as he muttered, “Turns out you’re a bit of a hassle too, Devil Fruit user. Guess I should’ve watched my back more carefully.”
Bexi tried to turn his head—but as his skull shifted, his head rolled off like a ball, bouncing across the ground with a few thuds.
His body stiffened for a moment before crashing forward.
Kuro flicked his blade clean, ignoring the corpse as he locked eyes on the misty expanse ahead. “Old man, it’s just you left.”
He wasn’t stupid. The battle’s tide was clear. This old man was trouble—better to kill him outright.
Once he was down, the enemy would be reduced to just one.
“Bexi!”
From the fog, Smiths’ face emerged, his gloomy gaze fixed on Bexi’s headless body before shifting to the others.
Brode was dead. Mojas was dead. Bexi was gone. Even Arams had fallen long ago.
They had formed this Pirate Alliance to humiliate the World Government, yet now only he remained?
These pirates had once been legends of the Grand Line.
Arams had turned entire towns into ice sculptures.
Bexi had spread death across the New World.
Mojas, as a captain, had been infamous for his brutality.
Brode’s intellect and abilities had made even the strongest feel helpless.
They were once titans of their age—how could they be defeated so easily?
Smiths had planned to kill Kuro, breach the G-3 fortress, then use military force to control these pirates.
“Useless fools!” Smiths spat grimly. “Looks like I’ll have to handle this myself!”
“Don’t get ahead of yourself.”
Whoosh!
In an instant, Black Radiance erupted beside the mist. Kuro reappeared, slashing his blade.
“You’re staying here too!”
Kuro bared his teeth. “Everyone, move!”
The blade cleaved through the fog, howling winds scattering the mist to reveal Smiths’ body. Before it could solidify, four arrows streaked through the air—Black Radiance blazing on their tips—as they pierced Smiths’ forehead, neck, chest, and abdomen.
Klah, limbs coiled like a beast, lunged forward. Upon reaching Smiths, he twisted his massive frame, carving a circular slash through the mist. His claws raked forward.
“Canine Storm!”
Hiss!
Cold light flashed, tearing through Smiths’ body—only for it to dissolve into mist.
Smiths’ head tilted back, sneering. “This? I could dodge it in my sleep.”
“Black Rope Heaven Flash!”
A sharp cry rang out. Lida, cloaked in full-body Haki Armament, descended like a ghost, her Instant Thousand Strikes stance primed. Her leg struck with a speed that made evasion impossible.
“In an instant.”
As she moved, Smiths’ entire form convulsed. The mist surged skyward, fleeing Lida’s attack.
High above, the fog coalesced into a massive swirling mass, Smiths’ voice echoing from within.
“Witness the true terror of Logia!”
Whoosh!
The mist roared violently, expanding beyond the land’s edge.
Howling winds whipped up from nowhere.
Nearby, the sea’s surface churned under the gale, forming a spiraling column that connected to the mist, hurtling toward the land.
“Tsunami Tornado!”
Boom! Boom!
The earth trembled with shockwaves.
“Can he really do this?”
Sazil swallowed hard, eyes wide at the monstrous whirlwind approaching.
Logia represented nature’s wrath.
The fury of the world itself.
This wasn’t something simple Haki could block. Sazil knew he had no answer for it.
“Tch.”
Lida scoffed arrogantly. “Please, I’m not scared. This technique’s easy to break. Right, Kuro?”
Kuro rolled his eyes. He’d gotten excited thinking Lida might actually pull it off, but nope—she was still the same.
He raised his hand toward the encroaching tsunami, sighing. “If Smoker could do this, he wouldn’t have been so pathetic. But clouds and smoke? Two different things.”
Snap!
The sound of his fingers snapping echoed.
And just like that, the frenzied Tsunami Tornado—powerful enough to obliterate the land—popped like a balloon, dissipating into calm, peaceful air.
“Sea water’s not played like that, old man.” Kuro’s palm spread wide, fingers curling. “Let me teach you how it’s done.”
With a thunderous crash, the sea surged around the land once more. Walls of seawater rose skyward, forming a towering barrier.
Inside the barrier, seawater separated into countless lion heads, roaring with fury as they locked onto the mist-filled center.
“Now, account for your Evil… and die quietly!”
