Chapter 693: How Can You Win in This Mess?
Chapter 693: How Can You Win in This Mess?
Death and Rebirth!
Tee's sudden revival left everyone nearby stunned, followed by a burst of intense cheers.
Resurrection Force!
Their boss was Undying!
What could be more powerful than Undying in this world?!
The Blackbeard crew was elated, while the Worldslider Pirates, on the other hand, saw a significant drop in morale, their attacks slowing down.
Undying
How could they continue fighting?
Killing an Undying person was pointless; it made the battle meaningless.
In the midst of the battlefield, Moria swept a Shadow Claw, knocking away several Pirates, then turned his head to the side without surprise, his sharp laugh echoing through the air.
"Of course, it's the same power as the Five Elders."
Bang!
On the other side, Weibull charged forward, his naginata spinning in a circle, the sheer force of his movements pushing back a group of people. He reached Van Oka and slashed down, creating a massive indentation with the force of his blow.
But as the blade sliced through, Van Oka teleported into the air, and before he could fully materialize, his figure teleported again, dodging an energy beam from below.
"Aren't you surprised?"
Van Oka appeared on the other side, firing a few shots to shatter the energy beam, then looked down at Renee, who was grinning up at him.
"Of course not. In the Aghored Period, you've seen all the Five Elders and their resurrection abilities, so you're not surprised. But why are you so confident? It doesn't seem like you're worried. Is it because of Sage? But Sage has no record of killing the Five Elders, so he can't do much about it."
Van Oka murmured, his gaze shifting to the white-haired figure still facing away from everyone, a look of curiosity in his eyes. "Fate. You still haven't shown your hand, have you?"
Meanwhile, Depp, now transformed into Satan II, exchanged a glance with Maria. She stomped her foot on the ground, creating a shockwave that launched her toward the massive Ox Demon Spider.
The Ox Demon Spider's eyes widened as the Evil Eye power burst forth, but Maria quickly raised her hand to block it, the impact making a 'snap' sound, completely failing to slow her down.
Satan II's Evil Eye couldn't even injure them, let alone this weaker version.
"More!"
The Ox Demon Spider growled, its legs darkening and its abdomen swelling, spewing out rapid, venomous miasma like bullets.
The venomous miasma covered all the directions Maria could move in. If she continued forward, she would inevitably touch the corrosive poison.
Depp, though not as powerful as Satan II, still had basic abilities. If he could effectively use these toxins, he could wear down this woman.
If she didn't charge forward, it would be even better. He could keep using the venomous miasma to gradually limit her movement space.
The battlefield wasn't just their duel. If they held out long enough, Tee would win, and they could eventually strip her face off!
Hiss!
Just as he thought this, Maria's body accelerated, crashing through the incoming poison. The venomous miasma stuck to her arms, chest, waist, and thighs, melting through her clothes and revealing smooth, tender skin.
"Surprised that I just charged through? Great!"
The Ox Demon Spider's eyes gleamed with joy, his legs lifting like spears, aiming directly at the charging Maria.
This poison wasn't just something he spat out. As a Mythical Zoan, whether in his current form or his nine-tailed fox form, his physical strength was on par with humans!
Bang!
The massive spider leg descended with a loud thud, but Maria caught it with one hand. Her hair flew wildly, her crescent-shaped eyes opening to reveal a cold, calculating gaze.
The parts of her body that should have been affected by the poison were only emitting white smoke, showing no signs of injury.
"Why?"
The Ox Demon Spider cried out, "Why aren't you showing any signs of poisoning? Are you a doctor?"
"Ah, only doctors can counter poison? My body techniques are also quite good, especially in Life Restoration."
Maria slowly lifted the spider leg, smiling at the Ox Demon Spider. "In all of Ohara, only Sage can surpass me. Heavenly Origin!"
Bang!
The explosive force seemed to spread from her limbs to her entire body, creating a thunderous sound. Maria lifted her arm, and the spider leg she held was instantly flung away, the force of the blow flipping the Ox Demon Spider's upper body, exposing its soft underbelly.
Maria took a step forward, her other hand clenching into a fist and gathering Haki, which shone black.
No matter how potent the toxins, they could be broken down, and Life Restoration had its uses. Though she wasn't as strong as Sage, no one in Ohara could match her in Life Restoration.
Even Lily couldn't.
Similarly, Lily couldn't match the second-strongest force in Ohara!
Whether it was Weibull or the Giants, none could match Maria in strength.
She and Sage shared the same table. With Lily and Renee having limited appetites, who else could have eaten all that food?
The long-term energy supply, stored through Life Restoration, and then released in Burst Mode, could now rival Sage in sheer power!
"Heavenly Origin!!"
She delivered a simple, direct punch, the explosive force propelling it forward like a comet, the black light piercing the spider's belly.
Bang!!
On the other side of the battlefield, Lily moved like lightning through the crowd, her Thunderlight slicing through the Pirates, leaving deep cuts. Her Thunderlight ascended into the air, forming a bird-like slash that plunged into the ground, creating a jagged, cracked indentation.
But there was no sign of Shiryu around the indentation.
"Has it come to this?"
Lily narrowed her eyes, suddenly pressing her sword downward. "I'll force you out! Flock of Skybirds!"
The downward slash created a series of small, bird-like slashes that scattered across the ground, each one like a chisel, piercing the earth and creating more cracks and pits.
On the left side, a few of the bird slashes were shattered by a crimson light, which appeared as the sky's Thunderlight shot down, aiming directly at Shiryu.
Clang!
The sound of metal clashing echoed as Lily's figure became visible, her sword thrust forward, blocked by Shiryu's Cursed Blade. Their eyes met, one sharp and fierce, the other bloodthirsty and cruel.
"Using this method? I expected no less from you."
Shiryu laughed softly, "But it can only make me visible for a short time. You're not Sage, after all."
Clang!
Shiryu's blade deflected Lily's sword, and in the next instant, Lily used the opening to slash down, only to hit air.
He had disappeared again.
His invisibility could hide his form, even reducing his scent and traces, but Observation Haki could sense a variety of things, even inanimate objects. A living person was even easier to detect.
Lily could sense him because he had suppressed his own aura.
"Observation Haki isn't at Red-Haired's level yet, but it can still detect traces."
Lily's eyes glowed red, and she swung her sword horizontally.
Clang!
Sparks flew as the blade's outline became visible. Before Lily could continue her attack, the outline disappeared again, reappearing in the distance, revealing Shiryu.
"You can still detect me? I've improved a lot since Honeycomb Island, especially in developing my ability."
Shiryu exhaled a puff of smoke, smiling, "But focusing so intensely will tire you out, won't it?"
"Is tormenting people your crew's style?"
Lily frowned, "Whether they survive or not, they seem to lack the strength to set things in stone."
"Sea battles are like this."
Shiryu said, "You used to be the same. Don't think that mastering some strange techniques can negate others' ways of life. That's a kind of arrogance."
Strong vitality, outstanding Haki, excellent body techniques or sword skills, these were the levels that sea-faring people should strive for. The limits were there, and when everyone reached the edge, the battle became a matter of endurance.
Even if they forced a burst of power through burning their lives, it would eventually fade. Only those who were strong in every aspect could stand on the sea of the strong, engaging in battles that wore down their opponents.
This was why the Navy couldn't catch all the Pirates.
They were hard to kill.
Shiryu was a strong opponent, especially when he suppressed his aura and became invisible, achieving the effect of Observation Haki. With his powerful Haki and sword skills, it wasn't easy to take him down quickly.
"Strength naturally leads to arrogance, and that's what I deserve. Sage said, if you're not arrogant when you're strong, then being weak is meaningless."
Lily stepped forward, sheathing her sword and assuming a stance for a quick draw.
"Let's make a bet. With my next strike, I'll take you down. If you lose, join us." Lily said coldly.
Shiryu paused, then laughed, "Recruiting me now? Isn't it a bit late?"
"Tee is Tee, and you are you. You and Van Oka are useful assets."
Lily said, "Sage doesn't care about enemies. Pirates don't have eternal enemies. For Ohara's development, we need more people."
Executioner?
Bloodthirsty?
What kind of flaw was this?
Sage didn't recruit him before because he had similar types and the scale wasn't big enough. Now, with a larger organization, they could accommodate anyone, even someone like him, a former Impel Down warden.
They had plans that would require more killing than Shiryu could handle.
Lily couldn't personally massacre every country, but not many of her subordinates were as ruthless as she was. Some still had compassion.
Shiryu was a sharp blade, perfect for their use.
"You think you'll win? That's the power of Undying."
Shiryu asked, "Sage is strong, but he can't handle this, especially in this environment. If a decisive victory is needed, I think Tee will win. You might as well join us after Sage is defeated."
"Let's settle this with our swords."
Lily pressed the hilt of her sword downward, saying no more.
Shiryu vanished, leaving a final word, "I'm not a kid who gets riled up easily. If this is your plan, it's bound to fail."
His aura disappeared, leaving Lily alone on the battlefield, her eyes glowing a deep red, slowly turning to a cerulean glow.
The hilt of her sword began to emit a spiral of cerulean glow.
"I'm not at that level yet, but as a swordsman, I will show the respect I owe. As the Chancellor of Ohara, I won't give anyone a chance, so the best way is to end this in one strike."
"No matter how well you hide your aura, you still exist. If the momentum is strong enough to shock, you will reveal a weakness. Can you feel it? The aura that cuts through anything, and the presence of death."
The cerulean glow in Lily's eyes intensified, radiating a sharp, unstoppable force that covered the surrounding area.
In an instant, a disturbance appeared from the side.
Even without revealing his form, the moment the disturbance occurred, Lily moved almost instantaneously in that direction, her sword slicing through the air, leaving a trail of cerulean glow that split the space in front of her.
"Cut!!"
Hiss!!
The space was sliced open, creating a black gash that quickly faded.
Lily stood straight, quickly sheathing her White Thunder.
Click.
Plop!!
The sound of the sheath closing was followed by a burst of blood in front of Lily, revealing Shiryu's form.
He clutched his sword, a massive gash on his chest, his teeth clenched, staring at Lily. "Why? Why is your blade so sharp? How could you cut through me?"
At that distance and in such a short time, he was confident he hadn't revealed any weaknesses. He was just defending against Ougon, not enough to make his ability falter.
But in that instant, the situation changed.
"This is why I'm arrogant."
Lily said calmly, "Nothing can escape my blade."
"Is that so... Your killing intent is even greater than I imagined. I lose."
Shiryu chuckled, his eyes rolling back as he fell to the ground.
"Defeat was inevitable. If you survive this, your blade will be useful on the seas."
"Ha ha ha! Sage, surprised? This is the power I'm using against you! As for the pain... I can endure it!" Tee laughed.
"The situation is this bad, and you're still laughing?"
Sage sneered, "I don't doubt your endurance, but with the odds so heavily against you, what do you have left up your sleeve?"
"Winning against you is all that matters. The rest is irrelevant. Listen!"
Tee smiled mysteriously, "It's your turn to move!!"
In the back of the battlefield, the powerful figures who had been standing still began to move, quickly surrounding Tee and encircling Sage.
"Nice strength, sixth level, all giants. Are these your new giant captains?"
Sage looked around, shaking his head. "But they're not enough. Are you kidding me, Tee?"
"Just try it and see. I carefully selected them to deal with you."
Tee grinned, "Power Holders!"
