After encountering Feng Ye and his group, Mira returned to the village with Lisanna and Elfman.
The trio were lucky enough to catch some fish in a small river near the village for their dinner that evening.
After dinner, Mira, Lisanna, and Lisanna's elder sister sat together and chatted about the day's events.
"I never expected to meet a wizard, did you see how that person moved, sister? He seemed to have appeared behind you in an instant."
Lisanna, propping her chin with her hands and gazing at the starry sky, spoke adorably.
This was a village in a remote area, unlike the big cities where one could easily come across magic. Here, even the most ordinary magical artifacts were rarely seen.
Their encounter with Feng Ye earlier that day was their first brush with magic and their first meeting with a wizard.
Mira nodded, "Indeed, it's not something an ordinary person could resist. If that person had ill intentions, we probably wouldn't have been able to fight back."
Lisanna giggled, "But they're good people, and that guy was so handsome."
Mira pouted, a scene from earlier that day flashing in her mind, and she huffed, "So-so, don't be fooled by his serious demeanor. For all we know, he could be a pervert."
Lisanna showed a helpless expression, "Where are all these perverts coming from? Sister, you're being too suspicious."
Mira turned her head to look at Lisanna, intending to say something more, when suddenly—
A terrified scream from Elfman pierced the night from behind the wooden house, his voice filled with fear.
Mira and Lisanna were both startled, and after a quick glance at each other, they jumped to their feet and looked toward the back of the house.
"Elfman!"
"Big brother Elfman!"
Not knowing what had happened, they both ran toward the back of the wooden house.
Soon, as they reached the back, their faces paled in horror.
Elfman was sitting on the ground, his face filled with terror as he backed away. In front of him, in the darkness, was a bizarre creature with disheveled hair, claws, and scaly armor—it was Satan, one of the demons created by Jellal four hundred years ago!
This world originally had no such demons, but because of Jellal's actions centuries ago, when he created countless demons in an attempt to end his own life, these demons were now scattered across the globe, breeding and surviving to this day.
Aside from the Gates of Hell, many regions were home to demons like Deliora and Satan.
"No, please don't..."
Elfman was terrified to the point of tears, too scared to even stand and run, his eyes fixed on the demon before him.
Satan fixed its gaze on Elfman and raised its massive claw.
"Elfman!"
Mira shouted, witnessing the scene.
As Lisanna and Elfman were overwhelmed by fear, Mira gritted her teeth, grabbed a wooden stick nearby, and charged forward, swinging it with all her might at Satan's leg.
Boom!!
The stick shattered, but Satan remained unharmed.
"Run, Elfman!"
Without hesitation, Mira yelled at Elfman, who was sitting paralyzed.
Her voice snapped Elfman out of his fear, and he instinctively scrambled to his feet and fled backward.
It was at this moment that Satan turned its head toward Mira and swiped its black, sharp claws downward.
"Sister!"
Lisanna exclaimed in shock as she witnessed the scene.
Mira, who had been knocked flying by Satan, did not die. In fact, with Satan's strength, one hit would have been enough to pulverize her, but he had held back.
Demons possessed superior intelligence but tended towards evil.
"Mere humans dare to defy me, the Demon King?"
Satan looked in Mira's direction, his voice filled with malice. "However, to dare to attack me is an unforgivable sin."
As he spoke, he strode towards Lisanna, extended his claw, and grabbed her by the collar, lifting her off the ground. "As punishment for your audacity, I will let you watch your loved ones perish before your very eyes, and then you shall die as well!"

Blood trickled from the corner of Mira's mouth, and her entire body was in agony as if her bones were about to shatter. But seeing Lisanna captured by Satan, her eyes widened in fury.
Satan glanced at Mira contemptuously, paying her no heed, and lifted his claw to crush Lisanna's body.
But.
Just at that moment, a beam of light pierced through the air, accurately impaling his claw. In an instant, his entire right arm was severed from the center.
Lisanna also broke free from Satan's grasp, tumbling on the ground and creating some distance.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
Satan let out a painful roar as his claw was struck by the beam of light, his voice filled with anger. "Who dares to injure me?! Show yourself!"
He glared in the direction from which the beam had come, and darkness surged from his body.
"!!!"
Mira, who had been rushing over to save her sister, reached Lisanna and hugged her. But at that moment, the sisters were stunned by the turn of events and looked in the direction Satan was facing.
There, shrouded in darkness, stood a silver-haired young man in a wizard's robe, walking towards them with a calm and composed demeanor. He kept his left hand raised, extending a single finger.
A faint glow still lingered on his fingertip.
Mira and Lisanna almost simultaneously opened their mouths, their faces reflecting a hint of surprise and joy.
It was him!
The wizard from earlier in the day!
They recalled that Feng Ye and his group had mentioned chasing the trail of demons, and here he was, arriving just in time!
"Damn it, is that light magic?"
Satan glared at Feng Ye, his teeth clenched. Light magic was the most damaging magic to demons like them.
Their birth was a result of Jellal's dark magic, and the antithesis of dark magic was light magic. The purest light magic could be even more destructive to demons than demon-slaying magic.
"Even if you can use light magic, you won't defeat me!"
Satan roared, and his body floated upward. A vast darkness surged from within him, transforming into a gloomy light that exuded a heart-chilling, terrifying aura.
The gloomy light hung in the air for a moment and then turned into a beam of darkness, crashing down towards Feng Ye.
"Soul Extinction!"
