The next day.
It was the first day of classes at Yulinton University.

"Which dorm area are you staying in?"
"I'm not sure", Qiao Sang explained, "I applied for off-campus housing and haven't been to the dorms yet."
Laila looked surprised, "You got approval for off-campus housing so quickly?"

"I heard that this year, one of our freshmen was assigned to the Elite Dormitory Area right from the start."

Before Laila could answer, a boy with a few freckles and brown hair sitting nearby chimed in:
"You haven't been on campus yet, so you wouldn't know. Yulinton University's dorm areas are divided into three sections: Standard Dormitory Area, Advanced Dormitory Area, and Elite Dormitory Area."
"Most freshmen like us are assigned to the Standard Dormitory Area. The Advanced Dormitory Area is for upperclassmen."
He then looked at Qiao Sang, leaving a space in his explanation.
"And the Elite Dormitory Area?" Qiao Sang asked, playing along.
Before the boy could respond, Laila interjected, "The Elite Dormitory Area is reserved for the top 100 in each department. In the Beast Mastery Department, those top 100 are all battle-hardened. Being assigned to the Elite Dormitory Area as a freshman is unprecedented."
"That's not entirely accurate", the freckled boy said, raising his voice slightly, "Yulinton University has had five instances of freshmen being assigned to the Elite Dormitory Area right from the start. Those individuals were prodigies among prodigies. You can find their names in the Beastmaster League records. Take Zakaton, for example, he was one of them..."
Laili interrupted:
"I'm talking about something unprecedented in the Beast Mastery Department."
The brown-haired boy immediately fell silent.
"Who is the freshman that was assigned to the Elite Dormitory Area?" Qiao Sang asked with interest.
"I don't know", Laili shook her head.
The brown-haired boy's face was filled with curiosity. "I heard that a fifth-year senior, who was originally ranked 100th, went to the Elite Dormitory Area yesterday to challenge the freshman and reclaim his room, but the freshman wasn't even there."
"Challenge?" Qiao Sang became immediately alert and asked, "Can you get your room back if you win?"
