Gamora rolled her eyes at Drax and then spoke softly to Mantis:

"Mantis, don't listen to him. You're not ugly; you're very cute."

"Gamora, she's not ugly?"

Drax looked utterly bewildered.

"You don't have to comfort me. I just found out today that I'm really ugly!"

Mantis touched Drax's body and felt the sincerity in his emotions. She knew he wasn't lying or deliberately belittling her, so she naturally believed that she was indeed ugly.

Gamora didn't let her touch, so Mantis couldn't sense Gamora's emotions and assumed Gamora was just trying to comfort her.

"It's okay. In a way, it's a blessing in disguise. If someone still loves you despite how ugly you are, it means they must love your inner beauty. Unlike beautiful people, who never know who to trust!"

Drax's tone was filled with a sense of reflection, as if he were talking about himself.

"But Earth is real, and this place is an illusion. Ego is definitely hiding something from you. His words are full of loopholes and don't make sense."

After arguing for a while, Star-Lord angrily pushed open the door and asked Rocket, Jerry, Nebula, and Groot, who were in the living room:

"What do you think?"

"I am Groot?"

Groot tilted his head, clearly still confused.

Rocket, after checking and adjusting his weapon, spoke in a rare serious tone:

"To be honest, Quill, I agree with Gamora. My gut tells me there's something off about Ego."
