Chapter 681: Dragons and Ogres
"His Majesty!"
"King Kai Xiusu has intervened! I knew it! He was watching us all along!"
"Great Red Dragon, Long Live! Empire of Ashen, Long Live!"
The people of Dragonfly Capital erupted into a thunderous chorus, their voices shaking the sky. From the moment the Red Dragon appeared, not a single soul felt fear—even as the Blood Spear, piercing Heaven and Earth, descended like a divine verdict. They were frenzied, devout, their eyes fixed on the heavens, utterly prepared to witness with their own eyes the Emperor’s triumph over a deity.
In the hearts of the Empire, Kai Xiusu was Victory incarnate, the living avatar of strength—there was no possibility of defeat.
With colossal claws gripping the edge of the spatial rift, the dragon’s arm tensed, veins bulging beneath its crimson hide. With a violent wrench—
Rip—
Space tore open like fabric. The ground beneath them turned black in an instant. Humans, Ogres, Half-Dragons across a hundred-mile radius all looked up. From the rift emerged a colossal, dignified head, its pale gold vertical pupils blazing like molten lava, flickering with fire.
Then, the vast wings—once obscuring the city walls—unfurled with a thunderous crack. Behind them came the mountainous, serpentine body and the titanic tail.
In an instant, a scorching gale swept across the earth. The Dragon Aura of Intimidation, so potent it bordered on physical manifestation, pressed down on every living being, forcing an uncontrollable urge to submit.
Before countless eyes, Kai Xiusu tore open the sky above Dragonfly Capital. The dragon’s body stretched over fifty meters in length.
"By the Father God!"
"So massive!"
"Is this truly the Emperor of the Ashen Flame?"
Even the resurrected Ogres stood stunned, trembling. Most had never seen such a powerful, awe-inspiring creature.
Hundreds of Wyverns within the city raised their heads, stretching their necks to the limit, unleashing a unified, ear-splitting roar in support of the Red Dragon.
Roar—
The Red Dragon reared its head, bellowing at the descending spear, its voice shaking the world.
At the very moment the spear was about to impale the earth, the Dragon Crystal embedded in Kai Xiusu’s chest flared with star-like radiance.
Boom—
A torrent of silver-white fire erupted from his throat, shooting straight into the sky.
"Insolent Empire fools—don’t mock me with a laughable Red Dragon! Even if Tiamat herself descended, she couldn’t save you!"
The Orcish Deity’s roar echoed across the wasteland, its divine power surging like a tidal wave. The massive spear, trailing the fire of Ogres, descended with unyielding majesty—directly meeting the silver flame.
Two opposing forces clashed—Primordial Source energy against divine power—sparking a dazzling, radiant explosion that lit up the heavens. The sky itself seemed to shatter into a storm of light.
"Order Force?"
Ghuush stared at the distant Red Dragon, his expression flickering with shock. For a moment, he was lost in thought.
Even after countless wars, the sight before him was incomprehensible. How could an evil Red Dragon carry Order Force of such purity—on par with Bahamut himself? Was this a Gold Dragon wrapped in red scales?
But Kai Xiusu seized the fleeting opening, unleashing his full power. The Dragon Crystal in his chest burst with a cascade of colored sparks.
Order Flame, Sun God Power, Bahamut’s Divine Power, the Law Force of the Empire’s Domain—all forces antithetical to Chaotic Evil poured forth, surging toward the sky to counter the Ogres’ infernal fire.
Boom!
A colossal explosion rocked the air. A blistering shockwave rippled outward, scorching everything within miles.
The spear shattered midair. The divine energy clinging to it scattered like embers, dissolving into swirling flames and violent turbulence—consumed by Kai Xiusu’s might.
The weapon collapsed into its true form: a six-meter-long, bloodstained wooden spear, ordinary in appearance, yet radiating overwhelming chaos and evil.
This was Ghuush’s Blood Spear—said to have wounded Korelon and Molradin, two deities, its surface soaked in their blood, capable of inflicting essence-level damage upon Elves and Dwarves.
Though Ghuush was merely manifesting as an Avatar, the spear remained a material projection of divine power—yet still contained a sliver of true Primordial Source Divine Power.
"Nice piece," Kai Xiusu murmured, greed gleaming in his eyes. He flared his wings and launched upward, exhaling a terrifying Plunderbreath—intent on consuming the spear whole.
"Greed-laden crawler," Ghuush sneered, raising his arm. The Blood Spear tore through space, instantly returning to his grasp.
Staring at the towering, monstrous Red Dragon—beyond the limits of any known race—the Orcish Deity finally set aside his disdain for mortal entities. A flicker of respect stirred.
As a War Domain deity, Ghuush’s single, murky eye instantly analyzed the dragon’s essence:
Ancestral Dragon physiology. Chaos Force of the Abyss. Order Force of the Material Plane. Primordial Essence of Heaven. Sun God and Bahamut’s Divine Power. Authority of the Elemental Plane. Even a whisper of Dumason’s Divine Power.
What was this thing? An Ancestral Dragon? A Lord of Elemental Energy? A Semi-God?
To Ghuush, the creature was a chaotic fusion—forces that should annihilate each other coexisting in perfect harmony. Even he found it impossible to comprehend.
This creature… was no ordinary mortal.
Yet still, Ghuush remained confident. After thousands of years, he had descended to Earth once more—destined to lead the Ogres toward a bloody, radiant ascension.
He raised the Blood Spear, pointing it at the Red Dragon. His voice was cold, thunderous.
"Red Dragon… do you know what you have awakened?"
Kai Xiusu said nothing. Instead, he stared down the divine manifestation with overwhelming superiority, tilting his head slightly—as if listening, eager to hear the next words.
The single eye of Ghuush flared with suppressed fury.
"Before you stands the Great Orcish Deity! Cease your blasphemy! If you submit to me, I may spare your life—grant you honor as my mount!"
Kai Xiusu smirked, glancing sideways at the deity. He felt the torrent of divine power, and grinned.
"Ghuush, I have a better proposal. How about making the Ogres my Familiars? The Empire will treat you with generosity. And you—yourself—shall become the chief of my Familiars, kneeling before me. That would be your honor."
"Insolent heretic! You seek death!"
The single eye blazed with fury. The deity’s body surged with divine power, a storm erupting across the earth. Crimson divine domain swallowed the sky for miles, swallowing the Red Dragon within its grasp.
Ghuush raised the Blood Spear, surging into the air atop a storm of black clouds, confronting the Red Dragon in midair.
At the same time, Kai Xiusu narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the Avatar. He cast Heaven’s Judgment Dragon Eye, True Sight Eye, and every divination spell in his arsenal—but all were nullified by the sheer weight of divine power and rank.
The only thing he could perceive was a single, monstrous, terrifying eye—faint, blurred, yet radiating absolute dread.
Only the System’s assessment remained functional.

This was the first time Kai Xiusu faced a being of such power. Dumason had been merely a mid-tier divine manifestation, not fully committed. The Holy Trinity had been a mere projection.
Now, he stood truly, face to face with a deity.
Ghuush’s Avatar stood only six meters tall—smaller than Kai Xiusu’s current form. Yet, through divine endowments, it possessed Infinite Strength, Undying vitality, Reality Warping, Divine Domain, and Essence of Killing—powers far beyond any ordinary Semi-God.
This Avatar is stronger than most Semi-Gods.
"Indeed, a true Divine Manifestation of powerful divine power," Kai Xiusu murmured, licking his lips. His golden vertical pupils gleamed with excitement. He let out a euphoric roar that echoed to the poles:
"Old Green-Skinned! You’re the one who’s going to die! We of the Empire of Ashen avenged you—solved your Dwarf enemy at your doorstep. And now you dare come knocking? Want to seize my territory? How utterly disgraceful!"
Ghuush spoke gravely. "Red Dragon… Aivendeldan is not yours. It is my gift to the Ogres."
"Gift?" Kai Xiusu mocked. "A city built by Dwarves, held by them for thousands of years—when did it become your Ogres’ land? Because you said so? A joke! I’ll grant my followers the Kingdoms of Nishak—old Green-Skinned, can you give up your divine realm for us?"
No more restraint. No more fear of blaspheming a deity.
The Red Dragon flared his wings. The Dragon威, the Empire’s Domain power, erupted outward—shattering the crimson divine domain like glass.
A massive spherical rift tore open in the sky. The domains of Kai Xiusu and Ghuush collided, canceling each other out. The boundary zone erupted into annihilating turbulence—rending everything, warping space itself.
Kai Xiusu became a blazing celestial body, radiating light and heat, enveloping Dragonfly Capital in his aura.
"Mortal Entity," Ghuush thundered, "you have made the greatest mistake of your life—choosing to fight me, to fight the Ogres! Soon, you will beg on your knees, crying for mercy!"
His voice was laced with fury, divine power, and cold certainty.
Instantly, visions flooded the minds of every Empire citizen—including Kai Xiusu: mountains of corpses, Dragonfly Capital reduced to ruins, the One-Eyed Orc watching coldly.
Those with fragile minds collapsed, eyes white, some even dying of sheer terror.
This was the power of a deity.
Words became law. In the presence of divine might, a simple utterance could kill.
"Playing mind games, huh? You think you're the only one?"
Kai Xiusu swept his gaze across the Ogres. A faint, almost imperceptible glimmer flashed in his golden eyes—True Dragon Mage’s Reality Warping.
In an instant, the Ogres saw it: a crimson dragon, thousands of meters long, towering over mountains, spewing endless seas of flame, incinerating them all.
"Father God above!"
"No… no, this isn’t real! But why does the fire burn on my skin?!"
Once belief took hold, the illusion became real. Victims were burned to ash in the real world.
This was Kai Xiusu’s self-created Seventh Circle spell—Kai Xiusu’s Terrifying Illusion, forged from the essence of Tiamat’s Terrifying Illusion.
But Ghuush remained unmoved.
"Boring tricks. Ogres fooled by such phantom images are unworthy to be my children."
Kai Xiusu flared his wings, ascending higher, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Exactly why your people are being wiped out in droves! In the Empire’s weapons, your kind are like ants—easily slaughtered by my followers!"
The words struck a nerve.
In just days, millions of Ogres had died in the Material Plane. Though their faith was shallow, it still fed the deity. And the strength of a race directly influenced its deity’s power.
Even for Ghuush, who controlled nearly all Ogres across the multiverse, the loss was staggering.
Had the Material Plane not been sealed, he would have manifested in his true body and torn this Red Dragon apart.
Swish—
Ghuush sliced through space, appearing above the Red Dragon. The Blood Spear, dripping with destructive essence, plunged toward its left eye.
Kai Xiusu opened his maw, exhaling a Chaos Flame that carved a vast void in front of him, swallowing the spear. Flames surged from his wings, filling the sky with thick, choking smoke.
Then, he swept through the air—leaving a blazing afterimage—dancing through the smoke and fire, weaving through the chaos.
But Ghuush’s single eye saw through all illusions. He raised a hand. The spear tore through space, blazing with divine flame, aimed straight at the dragon’s heart.
At that moment, the crown upon Kai Xiusu’s head flared. The gemstone ignited. A blast of extreme cold—northern wind—swept through, extinguishing the fire.
High above, the battle raged: Ogres and dragon locked in a relentless chase across space, teleporting, exploding, creating shockwaves that nearly shredded the sky into tattered rags.
Below, the armies clashed once more.
"For the Father God!"
"For the rise of the Ogres!"
Within Ghuush’s crimson domain, the Ogres were euphoric, invincible—rebounding from bullet wounds, regrowing heads, truly undying.
"For the Ember Empire!"
"Long live Emperor Kai Xiusu! Kill these green-skinned beasts!"
"When His Majesty returns victorious, we too shall achieve glory!"
With Kai Xiusu present, the Imperial soldiers fought with unshakable morale, their confidence absolute. They wanted to impress their Emperor—bullets and artillery raged fiercer than ever.
The war raged on, locked in deadlock, intense, brutal.
But both sides knew one truth:
The outcome of this war… was not decided by them.
It was decided in the sky—by the two titans above.
