Chapter 665: Speculation
Chapter 665: Speculation
After a busy night, Ryan and the others finally managed to treat most of the injured, and the remaining patients' conditions had stabilized, requiring no further treatment. Once they confirmed that the stock of potions and magic items was sufficient, Liam and Hermione went downstairs to have breakfast.
"By the way, Zhang Qiu", Hermione said after finishing a tuna sandwich. "Isn't St. Mungo's supposed to remain neutral? Why are you here now?"
"Because I resigned!" Zhang Qiu said, holding a glass of milk. "You two know I'm a Half-blood Wizard. After the Dark Lord attacked the Ministry of Magic, my mother brought my Muggle father here, and my husband Cedric and his family also chose to stay in Hogsmeade. In this situation, I naturally resigned from St. Mungo's. But it's not a bad thing. For me, being with my family during these times is a great source of happiness."
Liam nodded silently after hearing Zhang Qiu's words. It was clear from her words that she was someone who preferred a stable life and cared deeply for her family. This explained why she and Harry had broken up; Harry, destined to be a hero, was simply too different from her way of life.
In their subsequent conversation, Liam learned that Zhang Qiu wasn't the only healer to leave St. Mungo's. In fact, many wizards from various professions in London had come to Hogsmeade. Fortunately, Hogsmeade was in need of workers in every field, so these wizards were quickly assigned to suitable positions.
After lunch, Ryan and the others returned to Hogwarts Castle. As soon as they entered the Great Hall, they saw Harry waving at them, with Ron standing beside him. "Hey, Liam, over here. I need to talk to you about something."
"What's up, Harry?" Liam asked as he approached. "Are you feeling unwell or sensing something?"
"It's like this", Harry said, swallowing hard. "I had a dream about Voldemort last night—"
"Let's go somewhere less crowded to talk. Don't stand here in the Great Hall", Liam said, glancing at the young wizards milling about. He then led Harry towards the stairs. By this time, some of the students had noticed them and were pointing and whispering.
Once they reached an empty classroom on the second floor, Liam cast a few protective spells with his wand and turned to Harry. "Harry, tell me about your dream in detail."
"Here's what happened", Harry said, sitting down. "Last night, I fell asleep and had a dream about Voldemort, someone I haven't dreamed about in a long time. He was very angry because he failed yesterday."
"You're wearing this headband and magic items, and you're in the heavily protected Hogwarts. How could you sense Voldemort?" Liam asked, looking at the silver headband on Harry's forehead and the golden lion emblem in his pocket. "I don't think the quality of the magic items I made with alchemy is that poor."
"Well, it's because—" Harry lowered his head and spoke in a softer voice. "I haven't felt Voldemort's presence for a long time, so I took off the headband that made me uncomfortable when I went to sleep."
"Harry, you were too careless. Remember, you must never take off this headband until the war is over", Liam warned. Seeing Harry nod earnestly, he continued, "What did the Dark Lord do after he got angry?"
"He believed he couldn't fight two Dumbledores at the same time, so he was looking for a way to boost his power in a short time. From what I saw, he seems to be searching for something", Harry said, frowning. "I don't know exactly what he's looking for, but it's something that can level the playing field in a short time, some kind of weapon or treasure."
Short-term leveling up? Liam and Harry both furrowed their brows. Given that all members of the Death's Triad were in Hogwarts Castle, they had no idea what Voldemort was looking for.
"Do you know of any treasure that can level the gap between two people's strength in a short time?" Hermione glanced at Liam before asking Harry and the others. It seemed she had the same thought.
"If such a thing exists, it would likely appear in myths", Ron interjected. As the only one of the four who had grown up in the Magical World, Ron had some clues about wizards' treasures. "You see, the legends in the Muggle world aren't all fake. Often, they are real events from the Magical World that have been passed down to the Muggle world."
"Excalibur", Harry said, looking at Ron. "If the Muggle legends are true, the only artifact I can think of is that one."
"Excalibur - no, I mean the Sword of Steel", Liam's first thought was of a certain king with a foolish expression, but he quickly refocused. By this time, Hermione was already countering Harry's idea.
"Harry, use your brain. What would the Dark Lord, a wizard, do with a sword? Cut people? Besides, if the sword is as legendary, the Dark Lord, being evil, wouldn't be able to use it."
"Wait, the two swords of King Arthur really exist", Ron said, and three pairs of eyes immediately turned to him. Swallowing hard under their gazes, Ron continued, "But they're not as powerful as the legends suggest. They are just magic-infused swords made by goblins. They're probably stored in Gringotts, as goblins believe anything they make belongs to them."
"So, are there any legendary weapons in the wizarding world?" Liam asked, looking at Ron. "Myth, legend, or even stories Mrs. Weasley told you when you were little."
"Hmm, if you put it that way, there is one. Have you heard of the Tale of the Three Brothers?" Ron thought for a moment and asked, only to see Ryan and the others shaking their heads in confusion. "It's a story I heard when I was very young, from The Tales of Beedle the Bard. We all heard it from our parents when we were kids."
"You mean wizards, right?" Liam looked at Ron with a hint of exasperation. "So, we've never heard of it."
"Oh, sorry, I forgot", Ron slapped his forehead. "I'll start from the beginning, then. Once upon a time, there were three brothers traveling a lonely, winding path as night was falling—"
Five minutes later, the story was finished. As Harry pondered, Hermione spoke up, "The Deathly Hallows, you don't need to worry about them. The three items are all in Hogwarts Castle."
"What?" Harry and Ron both widened their eyes at Hermione, who nodded in confirmation. "Liam told me about this earlier, and Harry, you have one of them."
"The Invisibility Cloak?" Harry realized, and Ron nodded. "Right, normal Invisibility Cloaks are made from Demiguise fur and lose their effectiveness over time. But yours, passed down from your father, still works perfectly. It's not a normal Cloak."
"I actually have a Deathly Hallow", Harry was clearly shocked, but he quickly composed himself and asked, "Hermione, do you know where the other two Deathly Hallows are?"
