"I've already sent people to negotiate with the European Ministries of Magic, but to be honest, it hasn't been very effective", Professor Dumbledore said, sounding somewhat troubled. "The only real progress has been with the Vampires. After meeting the envoys I sent, several prominent Vampire Clans promised they would do their best to keep their members away from Britain."
"I'm curious as to why that is?" Professor Dumbledore's tone was filled with skepticism. "I didn't promise them anything or give them any gifts. They just made their promises after hearing that the envoys were sent by me."
"Could they be deceiving you?" Hermione suggested a possibility. "Those Vampires from ancient Clans are hardly benevolent beings. For them, lying is as simple as eating or drinking, especially when it comes to their own interests."
"No", Dumbledore shook his head. "The envoys I sent told me that these Vampires swore their oaths in the name of Cain. For Vampires, such oaths are unbreakable."
"Regardless, it's a good thing. We don't need to dwell on it too much", Liam said. He thought it was likely due to the effect of his fourth-year incident, where he had eliminated an entire branch of Vampires. After that event, Professor Dumbledore's reputation had spread among dark creatures, and the near extinction of European Giants had only reinforced this legend.
For the Vampires, they naturally wouldn't mind taking advantage of the chaos to gain benefits. However, if the risk of losing their entire clan was high, they wouldn't be so reckless as to risk their lives for profit.
After discussing all the events that had transpired, Ryan and the others said a few more words before taking their leave from Headmaster Dumbledore. Headmaster Dumbledore had many things to attend to, and Ryan and the others needed to discuss the content of the latest issue of the Wizards' Guide to Muggles and prepare for the new daily newspaper.
Since the outbreak of the war, the newspapers and magazines in London had essentially become propaganda channels for the British Ministry of Magic. In Hogsmeade, apart from the newly established Hogwarts Light Radio, the only remaining magazine for propaganda was the Wizards' Guide to Muggles, jointly published by Ryan and the others and Weasley's Joke Shop.
Initially, the Hogsmeade Ministry of Magic had hoped to use The Quibbler, which had a longer publication history, as their propaganda tool. Unfortunately, they couldn't come to an agreement with Mr. Lovegood. Additionally, The Quibbler's previous outlandish content had significantly lowered its credibility, making it unsuitable for the upcoming propaganda efforts.
On the other hand, the Hogsmeade Ministry of Magic was severely understaffed and could only focus on essential departments. They couldn't spare anyone to run a newspaper. In this situation, they had no choice but to support the Wizards' Guide to Muggles, which Ryan and the others were running.
Although the Ministry of Magic was short on personnel and couldn't provide human resources, they offered significant support in other areas. For example, they granted them exclusive interview rights and provided ample ink, printing equipment, and paper. Under these circumstances, in addition to transforming "Look, This Is a Muggle" into a monthly publication, Ryan and the others also planned to launch a daily newspaper to compete with the Daily Prophet.
"Don't you think the name British Wizardry Gazette is a bit too generic?" After returning to their residence, Liam looked at the first issue of the daily newspaper, which was set to be released the next day. They had spent a lot of free time at Beauxbatons preparing all the work for the newspaper's launch.
"At least it's better than the names you suggested—Hogwarts Light Gazette or The Truth", Hermione glared at Liam. "The first name sounds like a school newspaper and copies the name of the radio station Lee Jordan is running. As for the second name, don't think I don't know where it comes from."
"Alright, the name you came up with is the most fitting", Liam had to admit that he was terrible at naming things. Quickly, he shifted the conversation to another topic. "I hope everything goes smoothly with the newspaper tomorrow."
"It will", Hermione took Liam's hand. "Because this newspaper contains a lot of our original content. At least the detailed teachings on Magic principles and combat spells can't be found in any other newspaper."
Thanks to this war, Ryan and the others have the best opportunity to popularize basic combat Magic. Given the current situation, everyone needs this, and the Pureblood Families who would oppose it due to their interests are now on the enemy's side.
"What about the Pureblood Families on our side?" Liam asked seriously. "While I believe everything will go smoothly given the current situation, it would be better to minimize internal conflicts as much as possible."
"It shouldn't be a problem", Hermione pulled out a stack of parchment. "At the last Study Group meeting, we asked many people about this issue. These are their responses, and most of them are supportive."
Liam took the letters and read through them one by one. From these letters, he confirmed that the Weasley Family, Abbott Family, and Longbottom Family all supported his approach. They even included some minor casting tips that were passed down within their clans. In particular, the tips from Neville's grandmother, sent by the Longbottom Family, were sufficient to train an Auror.
"This is much better than we expected", Hermione frowned. "I just don't understand why they would—why they would fully cooperate with us and even provide so much additional information. This is a pure contribution, and I didn't even make any requests."
"The reasoning is simple", Liam explained, seeing Hermione's troubled expression. "The Weasley Family specializes in making Magic Artifacts, and the Abbott Family is skilled in household and food preparation Magic. For these clans, combat Magic isn't their forte, so spreading this knowledge won't affect them. Supporting the spread of knowledge will give them a good reputation. They naturally choose the path that benefits them."
"And the Longbottom Family", Liam paused. "For generations, they have been Aurors, and theoretically, they wouldn't support us. But now, the future of the entire Longbottom Family rests on Neville alone. For them, this is the time to revive their family's reputation, rather than fading into history like the Malfoy Family."
"I suspect Neville's grandmother provided us with so much valuable information to build momentum for Neville, even though it's not their core knowledge", Liam looked again at the thick Magic record book attached to Neville's grandmother's letter. "For a Pureblood Family, reputation can sometimes determine the rise and fall of a clan."
"Your point is that it's due to everyone's self-interest that this initiative is progressing so smoothly", Hermione seemed a bit disheartened. She had thought her appeals for justice had been effective.
"If our classmates could be moved by reasons of justice, the heads of ancient Pureblood Families are not so simple. These clans, with hundreds or even thousands of years of history, have experienced so much. They have survived to this day for reasons beyond mere justice."
Liam picked up the sample copy of the newspaper set to be released tomorrow and flipped to the eighth page, where the spell analysis section detailed the techniques for using the Stunning Spell, including a few minor tips from the Longbottom Family's information. "But there's nothing wrong with that. At least our goal is achieved, and this knowledge will reach everyone who needs it."
