Chapter 644: Ancient Evil and Dragon
Anzeta Great Wasteland, Dragonblood Mountain.
The Northern Regions had long since entered winter, yet the towering peak remained wreathed in steam, its slopes still radiating heat.
"Roar——!"
A thunderous Dragon Roar split the sky. The massive Red Dragon tore through the air, bursting from the NowPeak with a torrent of fire and thick smoke.
"Finally... back."
A satisfied smile spread across Kai Xiusu’s face as he felt the familiar, absolute sense of Absolute Control wash over him. Relief flooded through him—this was true Safety. Within his own Empire Domain, even a Deity would struggle to lay a finger on him.
As the old saying goes: A golden nest or silver den is nothing compared to one’s own doghouse.
Though the Northern Aether Plain brimmed with magical energy, it could never hold the same weight in his heart as Anzeta—the land where he had grown, bled, and forged his power.
After months spent in the distant Northern Aether, Kai Xiusu had returned. He had come home—to his familiar Empire Domain.
But this return was not born of nostalgia. It was driven by a task of terrifying danger, one even he could not fully Control—the Eye of Ghush.
Any object tied to a Deity, even one long severed from its body, carried power beyond mortal comprehension. Kai Xiusu approached it with utmost caution. For he had sensed it—the strength within the Eye was awakening.
Centuries ago, the legendary clash between Ghuush and Korelon·Laris had birthed the Blood Pool of Divine Blood Merging, from which the Elf Devourer, Idyak Oredil, emerged—among the infamous Ancient Three Evils.
This ancient abomination had lain dormant for ages, buried in the mire of some forgotten layer beneath the Bottomless Abyss, feeding on elven souls. Throughout recorded history, it had launched countless raids upon the Elven Kingdoms.
Only by fulfilling the impossible condition—slaying it upon a Half-God’s Original Plane—could a mortal or Deity truly destroy Idyak Oredil. Otherwise, it would always reform ten years later in the Abyss.
Even gods like the Storm Lord or the Elven Deity could not kill it permanently.
If such a Divine Blood Pool could birth such a horror… what then could be contained within the Eye of a Deity?
Thus, Kai Xiusu harbored a suspicion: perhaps he had obtained this Powerful Divine Power artifact so easily only because of the Tolerance granted by Molradin and Korelon—two Powerful Deities whose presence in the Material Realm was now nearly impossible in this Third Era, where the realms of Deity and Matter were severed.
And if the Eye of Ghush ever broke free from its seal… the consequences would be catastrophic.
Rather than drain the life force of Dwarves and Elves to reseal it, why not let another formidable evil—himself—deal with it? Perhaps, in the end, two beasts would clash, and one would fall.
But this was only a suspicion, with no foundation. His Persona had not yet dropped, and his Empire of Ashen was his own Realm—impenetrable to outside observation.
Though the Eye was only half intact and had been sealed for centuries by Molradin and Korelon, its power remained undeniable.
In short—no moment of relaxation.
"Let me witness… just how much strength a Divine-Level Remnant Body can truly hold."
Kai Xiusu extended a claw, plunging it into the Alternate Dimension he had prepared. He withdrew the half-Eye of Ghush, cradling it in his palm.
Instantly, the Strength surged.
"Aaaargh——!"
A wave of Evil Power, thick as a flood, erupted violently. Black War Mist flooded the surrounding space, while the air filled with the cacophony of battle cries and wails that pierced the soul.
The Red Dragon felt it—the endless hatred, seeping into his mind, threatening to drown his will.
Then, Chaos, Evil, War, Strength, Hatred—the very realms of the divine—began to pour forth, like a cosmic maelstrom, distorting everything around.
"Wha—?"
Kai Xiusu surveyed his surroundings. The world had transformed—a battlefield of utter ruin, scarred with craters, drenched in gunpowder and blood. Spears and battle axes jutted from the ground. Corpses of Ogres, Elves, and Dwarves littered the land.
A battlefield from the Ancient Era.
Back then, Deities still walked the earth. In that colossal duel, Ghuush, Korelon, and Molradin fought until the skies bled. The war raged for years, bringing devastation upon the world—until Korelon finally spined out Ghuush’s left eye, and the Ogres were utterly defeated.
"Horn——"
A distant, mournful Horn Blast echoed through the air.
Kai Xiusu raised his head. Before him stood a towering Ogre Deity, staring down with overwhelming disdain.
The creature wore crude, heavy black armor, its form immense and terrifying. A palpable aura of Evil and Chaos radiated from it. Behind it, the sky was stained with blood and shadow.
Even the Red Dragon felt the crushing Oppressive Pressure on his shoulders—the weight of Deity Life Tier.
Judging by appearance and presence alone, its identity was obvious: Orcish Deity Ghuush.
Since that time, Ghuush had ruled over his fellow Ogre Divine Beings with an iron fist. A cruel, merciless being, he reveled in war and endlessly sought new territories for his race.
Under Kai Xiusu’s gaze, the Ogre Deity slowly spoke:
"Mortal Entity. Why do you not kneel?"
The Red Dragon remained still. He did not kneel. Instead, he tilted his head, regarding the figure with the curiosity of a man seeing something new.
Seeing no reaction, the Ogre Deity’s face twisted into a fearsome snarl. It raised its spear and roared in fury:
"Dragon! Do you even Know—what stands before you?"
"Of course I know," Kai Xiusu replied, unimpressed. "Just another fake god—a trickster of divine illusion."
"Wha—? How—?"
The Deity’s eyes widened in shock. A flicker of panic crossed its face.
Kai Xiusu chuckled.
"Ah… impressive. A Powerful Deity’s Remnant Body can truly mimic a god’s presence. That Aura of Intimidation, that divine essence—almost indistinguishable from a true Divine Avatar. But—"
He grinned, his teeth bared in a fearsome smile.
"—this is my Empire of Ashen, isn’t it?"
"Boom!"
The Red Dragon clenched his claw. Instantly, a web of cracks erupted across the space around him, shattering with a sharp, crystalline sound.
The cracked sky, the ancient battlefield—all vanished, dissolving into swirling mist.
The figure of the Ogre Deity began to distort, as if stitched together from mismatched parts—on the verge of collapse.
"Who gave you the nerve… to pretend here, in my domain?"
Kai Xiusu lifted his Dragon Wing, rising into the air.
The Dragon Crystal in his chest blazed with blinding light. The Ancestral Dragon Blood, Sun God Power, Order Force, and Chaos Flame surged within him. Energy poured forth in endless waves.
Endless Flame erupted from his body, becoming an extension of his limbs. His once 60-meter-long form expanded rapidly—within just a few breaths, it stretched to over a hundred meters.
At the same time, his Empire Domain unleashed its full might. Lightning, fire, wind, and even the fabric of space-time bent to his will.
Now, the Red Dragon was the god of this realm.
With a mighty roar, he raised a claw. From the ground, frenzied fire dragons surged upward, spiraling toward the sky—launching a storm of flame at the Ogre above.
"Damn it! I am The Ever-Wakeful, the War King Ghuush!"
The Ogre Deity roared back, swinging its spear. A surge of unfathomable Divine Power rippled outward.
It still hoped to intimidate. To break this Red Dragon with sheer force.
But Kai Xiusu only laughed.
With a sweep of his wing, he unleashed a scorching gale, powerful enough to shatter space itself.
"Do you know what the most famous title of that Ogre Deity is?"
He sneered.
"One-Eyed God!"
Without hesitation, he spread his wings, descending from the sky with terrifying force—cutting through the heavens.
【Imperial Domain: Burst】
【Imperial Domain: Control】
This time, fire, thunderbolts, and luminous energy surged like a tsunami, while space itself compressed around the Ogre, collapsing inward. Shattered fragments of reality became razor-edged blades, piercing through its body.
"Aaaargh——!"
A spine-chilling scream tore through the air—filled with malice and hatred. Just hearing it would drive any mortal mad.
The Ogre twisted and writhed, its form becoming grotesque. Hundreds of eyes sprouted across its head, arms, and torso—its entire body now a mass of eye-sockets, pulsing with Chaos.
The illusion was collapsing. The Ancient Evil could no longer maintain Ghuush’s form. Its true, monstrous nature was about to be revealed.
A being born of ancient hatred, a Chaos-born existence whose sole purpose was destruction.
Now, that ancient Evil Power began to infect the Empire Domain, corrupting the order Kai Xiusu had built—threatening to poison Dragonblood Mountain, and indeed, the entire Anzeta.
"Against extreme Chaos… only purest Order can prevail."
The Red Dragon did not flinch. Instead, he reflected, feeling the basal vessels within him surge with power. His scales glowed like roots beneath the earth.
He took a deep breath. The Order Force flowed through him. Then, he opened his mouth.
From deep within his throat, silver-white fire gathered—radiant like the sun at noon.
【Order Restoration Breath】
With a crack of air, the silver flame shot forth like a comet.
"Boom!"
The silver flame column pierced through the thick Black Mist emitted by the Ancient Evil, striking directly at its True Form.
The Order Fire didn’t just burn—it purified. It evaporated moisture, erased Chaos and Evil, and filled the space with absolute Order.
"Why!"
"Why fight me? Why bind me? I am Ghuush’s Avatar! A Powerful Deity! All who oppose me—Elves, Dwarves, Dragons—will be destroyed!"
The scream echoed, shaking space itself. The world trembled.
The Order Fire tore away the final disguise.
Hundreds of Tentacles of Influence, covered in eyes, burst from the creature’s body, ripping through the skin. The Ogre-like shell was discarded like a broken husk.
And from within, a massive, viscous Eye emerged—its black pupil filled with endless Vile Hatred. But it was only half—cleaved cleanly in two, as if cut by a blade.
The Eye’s diameter spanned hundred meters, and each Tentacle of Influence stretched over a thousand meters. They writhed like serpents, waving through the air, nearly obscuring the sky.
Each Tentacle was studded with thousands of eyes—each one fixed on the Red Dragon, full of hatred, horrifying in their number.
"Foolish Mortal! I will rend you! I am the End of All Things, the Destroyer of Elves and Dwarves, the Avenger—Ghuush’s Half-Eye—Ivennis!"
A chorus of screams echoed. The Evil shouted its true name, and the world trembled.
Every second, it radiated a Taboo Aura, corrupting the space around it. To any mortal who witnessed it, sanity would shatter—instant madness.
This was an Ancient Evil—sealed, imprisoned, and contained by the Orderly Forces of the world for ages. Once unleashed, it would bring unspeakable evil and destruction, consuming the life force of every race that sustained the world.
It was not a Deity—but it was immortal.
Yet Kai Xiusu, wings flared, stared at the distant, eye-like horror—his Dragon face not filled with fear… but revulsion.
He wrinkled his Scale Horns, grimacing.
"Damn it… this thing is disgusting. Worse than the Fungal Lady I saw two days ago."
And more than that—he sensed something odd.
This so-called Ancient Evil was weaker than he’d expected.
【Chaos Eye — Ivennis (Challenge Rating: 28)】
In Kai Xiusu’s eyes, the creature was far weaker than a normal Red Dragon. And compared to the Deity-like power he wielded within his Empire Domain, the difference was astronomical.
"It’s not fully Ennobled yet," Kai Xiusu realized, a smirk forming.
So this was the trick—Bluffing to the extreme. The creature had emitted all the residual Divine Power of Ghuush, creating a terrifying presence. But its True Form was still trapped within the half-stone.
If anyone else had faced this illusion, they would have shattered under the pressure, granting the Ancient Evil its freedom.
"Well then," Kai Xiusu said, his voice cold.
"Let you experience the strength of this Mortal Entity."
With a powerful beat of his wings, he raised a claw toward the sky.
A thousand-meter-long crimson claw, glowing with fire, erupted from the heavens—reaching down, grabbing for the Eye’s core.
"Aaaargh!"
The Chaos Eye exploded midair—bursting into a regiment of Black Mist.
