Chapter 643: No Sleeping Allowed, Classmate
Chapter 643: No Sleeping Allowed, Classmate
That morning, Kyle made his way to the school hospital. After the severe beating, Malfoy had been brought here by his teammates right after the Quidditch match.
When Kyle arrived, Malfoy was leaning against the bed, munching on sweets bought from Honeydukes. His face had returned to normal, showing no signs of the previous injuries. However, upon noticing Fred and George entering, he quickly tossed the Pepper Imps he was holding to the side and feigned discomfort, groaning.
"What are you two doing here!"
Pansy Parkinson stood up beside him and shrieked, "Get out! If you're here to beg for forgiveness, don't even dream of it..."
"Oh, Fred..." George raised an eyebrow, "Did you hear something? It's so unpleasant."
"It must be the Tebo Warts," Fred said, "Their cries are just like that, nauseating. But I don't understand why Madam Pomfrey would keep such ugly creatures in the hospital wing."
Fred and George bantered, leaving Pansy seething. Her thin-lipped face contorted with anger.
Before she could speak, Fred shouted, "Madam Pomfrey, Lee Jordan has been vomiting, and we don't know why..."
As soon as he finished, Madam Pomfrey swiftly emerged from the partition, asking, "What happened? Did he eat something bad?"
"We don't know," George shook his head, "He insisted on not coming to the hospital wing. Can you take a look?"
"Not coming to the hospital wing is ridiculous!" Madam Pomfrey said angrily, "He didn't drink at the Hog's Head, did he? I've said it before, that place shouldn't be near the school... And you shouldn't go there either!"
Despite her words, she took two bottles of potion from the shelf and hurried outside.
Fred quickly followed, "He's in the Gryffindor common room, I'll take you there, Madam Pomfrey."
George intentionally slowed down, glancing at Kyle with hesitation in his eyes, as if wanting to say something.
Kyle shook his head slightly.
George sighed, and in the end, said nothing, instead jogging to catch up with Fred.
The hospital wing was now left with only three people: Kyle, Pansy, and Malfoy lying on the hospital bed.
Malfoy looked slightly uncomfortable, looking at Kyle as if Harry had just seen Professor Snape.
"Why aren't you leaving?" Pansy walked with an air of superiority and spoke to Kyle, "Go and tell your vulgar friends that they..."
"Plop..."
Before she could finish, she suddenly fell to the ground, leaning against the wall, and fell into a deep sleep.
"Looks like she was really taking good care of you, to be this tired," Kyle said with a smile.
Malfoy looked at Kyle with fear, knowing that Pansy's current state was definitely Kyle's doing, but he dared not speak.
Especially when he saw Kyle approaching step by step, Malfoy subconsciously recalled the words his father had said during the holidays, and his heart was filled with even more fear.
"You...what do you want to do!" Malfoy's voice trembled, "This is Hogwarts...with Dumbledore...if you dare do anything to me...you won't get away with it."
"Oh, so you know about Dumbledore, I thought you only knew about Umbridge."
Kyle sat down where Pansy had been sitting and casually took a box of Chocolate Frogs from the pile of sweets beside him.
"You know?" Kyle slowly unwrapped the packaging, "You must know that your father did something during the holidays, targeting me and causing me trouble. But I forgave him generously, and from the start of school until now, have I caused you any trouble?"
"This has nothing to do with me...it's Professor Umbridge...really..." Malfoy stammered, "She wanted to teach the Weasley brothers a lesson...because they didn't listen to her..."
"But you were more than willing to cooperate, weren't you?"
"I...I can forgive them...I can go and plead with Professor Umbridge..."
"Forgive who?"
"The Weasley brothers..." Malfoy said, "They...can continue playing..."
"Tsk, I knew you were reasonable, but they didn't believe me." Kyle smiled and handed the Chocolate Frogs to Malfoy.
Initially, Malfoy didn't want to take them, but Kyle frowned slightly, and he quickly took them with trembling hands.
If his father hadn't deceived him, then the Kyle before him was indeed a true Death Eater killer.
This was also the reason why he had been avoiding Kyle. After all, before the start of school, his father had repeatedly instructed him to stay as far away from Kyle as possible.
"I won't pursue this any further," Malfoy continued.
"On behalf of Fred, George, and Harry, I thank you for your magnanimity," Kyle said.
Malfoy heaved a slight sigh of relief.
But the next moment, Kyle spoke again, "Unfortunately, your word doesn't count. Professor Umbridge's requirement is that Mr. Lucius Malfoy himself must not pursue the matter."
"I can convince my father!"
"Oh, that's for sure... But there's no need to go to such lengths." Kyle took out a pre-written letter from his pocket and handed it to Malfoy.
"Just sign your name here, I think Mr. Lucius will recognize your handwriting."
Malfoy instinctively looked at the parchment.
"Dear Mr. Malfoy:
Since our last encounter at the Ministry of Magic, I've wanted to express my gratitude to you, but due to my busy studies, I haven't had the time.
The reason I'm writing to you today is that my friends, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, and Harry Potter, had a minor disagreement with Draco during the Quidditch match.
"It happened like this..."
Below was a detailed account of what had transpired on the Quidditch pitch, narrating the scene in its entirety.
This work is organized and uploaded by Liujiu Book Bar.
Malfoy skimmed through it; everything, including his own words and the Weasley brothers' reactions, was true, with no alterations.
"In conclusion, I'd like to say that both parties were at fault, and the punishment of banning them from playing seems a bit harsh.
(P.S.: Draco has generously forgiven them.)"
The words on this parchment were sincere and polite, making it an ordinary letter.
At this moment, Kyle handed Malfoy a quill and pointed to the blank space below the last sentence.
"Just sign your name here."
Malfoy complied, scribbling his name messily on it.
After he finished writing, Kyle took back the letter and quill, saying with a hint of implication, "So, is there anything wrong with this?"
"No, nothing," Malfoy shook his head hurriedly, "Everything written here is true."
"Then why are you shivering?" Kyle laughed, "If others saw this, they might think you're some evil Dark Wizard, but I'm just here to talk things through."
"Oh, that's right." Malfoy nodded vigorously, "I'm just... a bit cold, that's why I'm shivering."
"I see." Kyle took out his wand and pointed it at the fireplace in the corner, causing the flames to intensify.
"No need to thank me, it's no trouble at all." Kyle stood up, appearing ready to leave.
"Oh, I almost forgot." Kyle suddenly called out, "Kaka!"
A house-elf suddenly appeared in the hospital wing, holding a large camera. Before Malfoy could react, Kaka had already taken a picture of the two of them.
"What are you doing!" Malfoy shouted in alarm.
"Don't be nervous, it's just a photo to prove that I came to visit you." Kyle said, turning to the house-elf.
"Thank you for helping me, Kaka."
With just a simple word of appreciation, Kaka, the house-elf, became excited and started dancing around.
"It's Kaka's honor, sir."
"Don't say that." Kyle waved his hand, grabbed a handful of candies from behind, and handed them to Kaka, "Thank you for the photo, this is my return gift."
Kaka didn't take them, but Kyle insisted and stuffed the candies into Kaka's apron.
This made the elf even more excited, his large ears turning slightly red.
"You can go back now." Kyle said, "If I need help, I might call on you again."
"Kaka is willing to help, sir!" The elf shouted and then disappeared from the hospital wing.
Kyle left as well, but just as he reached the door, he stopped.
"Oh, and remember to tell your friend that Madam Pomfrey doesn't allow students to sleep on the floor."
This time, Malfoy clearly saw Kyle's fingers move, and then... the unconscious Pansy stirred, waking up in a daze and crawling off the floor.
"What happened to me?" She looked at Malfoy, then at Kyle's departing back, still a bit disoriented, "What did that guy say?"
At this moment, Malfoy had just breathed a sigh of relief, not even glancing at Pansy, "Oh, he said you're not allowed to sleep on the floor."
