Chapter 631: Feel a Little More Pain
Chapter 631: Feel a Little More Pain
After breakfast, Bambietta began to ponder, reflecting on the words of Feng Ye.
Her disappearance would undoubtedly cause a stir within her family, and they would undoubtedly send a large number of people to search for her. As long as she remained within the confines of the Invisible Empire, it was only a matter of time before they found her, just as Feng Ye had predicted.
Feng Ye's estimation of a fortnight to a month seemed reasonable, as that would be sufficient time for her family to comb through the entire Invisible Empire.
However, the crucial question remained…
What would happen once they found her? Her life was now in Feng Ye's hands. Although he had granted her a form of immortality, he could just as easily revoke it.
In other words, even if her family located her, she would still be Feng Ye's hostage, and she didn't believe that he, a twisted and cruel Fallen Quencher, would let her go unscathed.
Even if her family intended to eradicate Feng Ye, it would be meaningless if she became collateral damage. Therefore, she had to do everything possible to prevent such an outcome.
The only way to do that was to find a way to send a message to her family, informing them of her situation so they could report it to the Sternritter and dispatch them. Only then would she have a chance of survival.
Or…
She could escape from here!
But Bambietta didn't think she could flee easily. It was simple logic—if Feng Ye had altered her body, he could undoubtedly track her movements at all times.
Unless she figured out what Feng Ye had done to her body and found a way to block his perception of her, escape would be impossible.
"Regardless, let's head back to the room."
Bambietta took a deep breath, dragging her weakened body, fatigued from blood loss, back to her room.
Upon returning, she immediately felt a surge of spiritual energy rushing towards her, swiftly healing her wounds.
"This ability…"
Bambietta's gaze turned somber.
Although she was not yet a full-fledged knight, she knew a thing or two about Quenchers, and this miraculous healing ability was certainly not within their normal capabilities.
She looked at her severed wrist, where the spiritual energy had transformed into glowing dots, rapidly regenerating the damaged area and causing her left hand to grow back swiftly.
Hiss!
Bambietta gritted her teeth against the pain, extending her fingers to draw out a drop of blood, which she examined intently with a worried expression.
However, she found no anomalies in her blood. It still contained an extremely high level of Quencher blood purity, confirming her status as a second-class pure-blooded Quencher.
"Could it be… my heart?"
Bambietta took a breath and looked down at her chest.
She remembered how Feng Ye had once removed her heart, and it was possible that he had altered it in some way. But with her current abilities, unraveling that mystery seemed unlikely.
The more she thought about it, the more inescapable her predicament seemed. For now, all she could do was wait, as any other course of action might result in even worse consequences.
Staring at her newly regenerated left hand, Bambietta could only lower her gaze and look out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of someone bearing her family's familiar crest in the distance.
…
Just as Feng Ye had initially stated, he abided by his own rules and refrained from entering her bedroom to cause trouble. However, the intensified hunger pangs were more than she could bear.
As a Quencher, Bambietta could usually absorb spiritual energy to stave off hunger, but the problem was that the spiritual energy in the room was controlled by a powerful barrier, preventing her from drawing upon it.
Moreover, this place was not the Soul Society, and not everything was composed of spiritual energy.
In other words, eating the bed, tables, and chairs would be futile.
After enduring a day of hunger following breakfast, she could no longer resist. Despite knowing that this was Feng Ye's malicious doing, she had no choice but to leave the room.
In the side hall, a breakfast spread had already been laid out, seemingly identical to the previous day's meal. The only difference was that today's food remained untouched.
Without hesitation, Bambietta devoured the food at lightning speed.
As a noble young lady, eating in such a manner made her feel extremely awkward. However, her fear of Feng Ye, coupled with the trauma she had endured, left her with no sense of security in this place.
She quickly consumed a large quantity of food, and when she felt somewhat full, she began to hesitate, contemplating whether to take some bread back to her room so she could stay there for a more extended period.
But.
As she wavered, her gaze suddenly froze, and she stiffly turned towards the door, only to see Feng Ye standing there, she knew not since when.
"Are you done eating?"
Feng Ye asked gently.
Bambietta felt her fingers trembling, her body stiffening. Her throat convulsed a few times before she finally answered involuntarily.
Feng Ye turned around and began walking towards the courtyard.
Bambietta watched his retreating figure, hesitating whether to follow. The game he mentioned, no doubt, would be terrifying, but escaping upstairs seemed futile. Even if she made it back to her room, Feng Ye could easily break his own rules; after all, he was a twisted and fallen Quencher, and she doubted he would keep his promises.
So...
If she wanted to minimize her pain, it would be best to obey him.
With this in mind, Bambietta bit her teeth and, with stiff steps, followed Feng Ye into the courtyard.
The courtyard was spacious and adorned with various vibrant flowers, but Bambietta was in no mood to appreciate its beauty.
Feng Ye stopped beside a wooden pole that was horizontally affixed to the ground and motioned for Bambietta to come closer.
"What are you going to do...?" Bambietta asked, a sense of foreboding washing over her.
Feng Ye casually waved his hand, and a rope made of spirit particles appeared, glowing faintly. With a quick flick of his wrist, the rope wrapped around Bambietta, binding her to the pole so she couldn't move.
After securing Bambietta, Feng Ye took a few steps back and summoned a light golden spirit bow and arrow.
Bambietta's pupils contracted as she struggled desperately, but before she could utter a word, Feng Ye spoke contemplatively,
"If I remember correctly, when you played this game, you shot from a distance of two hundred meters, scoring ten points for hitting the torso, thirty for the head, and fifty for the heart, right?"
"Stop... Stop right there! You bastard... How dare you do this to me... I will become a Sternritter in the future..." Bambietta sputtered, her voice a mix of shock and anger. But before she could finish, Feng Ye had already raised his bow.
Swish!!!
A golden arrow sliced through the air, barely grazing her cheek, cutting a few strands of her hair, and creating an almost imperceptible hole in the distant wall behind her.
The arrow's flight left Bambietta speechless, her pupils dilated with fear. She recalled the agonizing screams of those she had once shot in this game.
"No... No, please... Not this..."
Overcome with fear, Bambietta's pleas turned from threats to desperate pleas for mercy.
But Feng Ye merely examined the spirit bow in his hand and stroked his chin, saying, "Hmm, this is your spirit bow. It seems the accuracy isn't that easy to control. I missed, so I apologize. But from now on, I won't let you down."
A smile played on Feng Ye's lips as he aimed the bow at Bambietta, who was still two hundred meters away. He drew the bowstring once more and released another golden arrow.
The arrow sped through the air, piercing Bambietta's abdomen and leaving a tiny hole that immediately began to bleed.
"Ahhhhh..."
Bambietta's body tensed, and she let out a pained cry that she couldn't suppress.
Feng Ye raised an eyebrow, a slight smile on his face. "It's just a small hole. Most people should be able to endure this level of pain easily. But you, a young lady of noble birth, seem to have never experienced pain before. That's understandable."
"So, I'd like you to understand pain a little more."
Swish!
"Feel a little more pain."
Swish!
"Experience a little more pain."
Swish!
Arrows flew continuously from the bow, each one finding its mark and piercing Bambietta's body, causing blood to splatter from various wounds.

P.S.: Regarding the concerns about setting plagiarism, I'd like to point out that this is fanfiction, and I have a thousand ways to create similar settings. Making the settings so similar is obviously intentional, and it's fun to see readers catch on and criticize. In my opinion, writing fanfiction is about embracing various elements from the source material and fusing them with other aspects of anime and manga.
P.S.2: To the original game's author, if you feel this is inappropriate, please let me know, and I'll change it immediately. It won't affect the plot since the story is already different.
P.S.3: Trying out a slightly darker style. For those who haven't watched the anime's Thousand-Year Blood War arc, feel free to skip this part if you're not interested. The remaining parts of the Bleach arc will focus on the Thousand-Year Blood War and the final battle with Aizen.
