Chapter 63: A Casual Sheep-Herding
Chapter 63: A Casual Sheep-Herding
"Stupefy!"
In Superman Mode, Jerry cunningly sought out various blind spots in Abomination's combat stance and fired a sleeping charm, putting him to sleep for two seconds.
Hulk took the opportunity to pin Abomination down and started pounding his head.
Abomination was violently awakened by Hulk, pushed him off with a burst of strength, and pinned Hulk down instead.
"Stupefy!"
Jerry threw another stunning spell, and Abomination was dazed once more.
Hulk pinned Abomination down again and resumed his assault.
Abomination woke up, pressed Hulk down, Jerry cast a stunning spell, Hulk pinned Abomination, Abomination woke up, pressed Hulk down, Jerry cast a stunning spell...
(The scene suddenly became bizarre)
This cycle repeated dozens of times until, finally, Abomination lay on the ground, his eyes vacant and his limbs weak, completely motionless.
Under the relentless attack of Hulk and Jerry, Abomination had been one-sidedly beaten for several minutes, his spirit and body nearing collapse.
"Who am I? Where am I? What am I supposed to do? Wasn't it much better to take the military's pension and retire to a peaceful life? Why did I have to inject that cursed gene serum and endure this endless humiliation and beating?"
At this moment, Abomination finally realized that there was always someone stronger. If he could survive, he vowed never to fight again.
"Never underestimate any support, especially those skilled in control!"
Jerry, slightly out of breath, put away his Wand. The magic he had regained in the air was now almost entirely depleted.
In reality, if his Shadowblade Curse had been more powerful and could break through Abomination's defenses, he could have finished Abomination off with just the stunning spells and the curse.
However, while Abomination possessed formidable strength and defense, he was still far inferior to Hulk.
Hulk grew stronger the more he fought, and the angrier he became, seemingly without any limit.
But Abomination, like any normal person, grew weaker the more he fought, his strength, stamina, and defenses declining over time.
In the end, the gene serum Abomination had injected was merely an incomplete Super Soldier Serum and a substandard copy of Dr. Banner's Hulk serum, both of which were inferior.
Seeing Abomination's resistance growing weaker and finally ceasing altogether, General Ross ordered the helicopters to slowly land.
Noticing the surviving soldiers surrounding Hulk with their guns, General Ross waved them off, telling them to lower their weapons and step back.
At this moment, General Ross's attitude toward Hulk had clearly changed.
"Bro, great job!"
Jerry, who had recovered some of his magic, circled the ground on his flying broom, looking at the nearly lifeless Abomination. He raised his hand and gave Hulk a thumbs-up.
"You're the best!"
"Hulk!"
Hulk responded to Jerry, seemingly grateful for his help.
Though Hulk was somewhat simple, he was not without intelligence. On the contrary, his heart was more sensitive than that of a normal person.
He cherished every person who reached out to help him and acknowledged his worth.
Jerry's genuine praise had not gone unnoticed by Hulk.
At this moment, General Ross and Dr. Betty approached.
"Betty!"
Hulk glanced at Dr. Betty with a lingering look, then at the increasing number of armed helicopters in the sky. With a few powerful leaps, he vanished from everyone's sight.
At this point, the police and the crowd had mostly evacuated, but many of the soldiers who had fought the Abomination were still lying in various corners, moaning in pain from their injuries.
"Swift Healing!"
After exchanging greetings with Ross and the others, Jerry used the little magic he had left to cast the swift healing curse on the severely wounded soldiers.
The swift healing curse, developed by Snape from a regular healing spell, not only heals wounds but also removes any curses left in the wounds.
Jerry's skill with the swift healing curse was limited, and he couldn't completely heal the severely injured soldiers, but he could stop their bleeding and help them survive until they reached the hospital for surgery and emergency treatment.
This scene was observed by the S.H.I.E.L.D. Logistics Agent who had been following General Ross.
"Thank you, really, thank you so much!"
A severely wounded sniper finally stopped bleeding thanks to Jerry's swift healing curse.
"It's nothing. By the way, is this a Sniper Rifle?"
After treating the last severely injured soldier, Jerry picked up the Sniper Rifle beside him and asked curiously.
Seeing that his savior Jerry was interested in his Sniper Rifle, the sniper weakly explained:
"Yes, but this isn't an ordinary Sniper Rifle. It's a Tranquilizer Sniper Rifle, originally meant for dealing with Hulk!"
Upon hearing about the Tranquilizer Sniper Rifle, Jerry's eyes lit up. He nodded and slung the rifle over his shoulder.
"Consider this as payment for saving you!"
The sniper: "???"
Ignoring the sniper's stunned expression, Jerry hoisted the Sniper Rifle onto his shoulder, waved his wand, and used the summoning charm to call his flying broom.
"Alright, since everything's fine, I'll be off. I have a music tutoring class tomorrow, see you!"
Mounting his flying broom, he waved to General Ross and the S.H.I.E.L.D. Logistics Agent who were approaching. Without waiting for a response, he turned and flew away.
"General, he took my Sniper Rifle!"
Seeing General Ross approach, the sniper reported with a hint of helplessness.
"Let it go. He saved us back on the helicopter, and his... um, Magic, is far more effective than the Tranquilizer Sniper Rifle!"
The Tranquilizer Sniper Rifle had no effect on the Abomination, but the young wizard's magic could stun it.
At that moment, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Logistics Agent quietly moved to a secluded spot and reported into the hidden microphone in her collar:
"Target has left, target has left!"
In a building ten kilometers away, Agent Maria Hill, upon hearing the report through her earpiece, issued orders to a staff member dressed in the same S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform:
"Send a drone to follow him. Remember, he may be young, but he's cautious. Don't let the drone get too close!"
Then she turned to another staff member and asked:
"How's the situation with Hulk?"
"Hulk has left the city and is now in the forest, but he is still under our drone surveillance", the staff member reported, eyes glued to the screen.
"Damn, our drone has been detected and destroyed!"
The staff member who had been ordered to activate the drone to track Jerry let out a cry of alarm as the screen went black.
