Chapter 627: The Knight Explorers Team Member +1
Chapter 627: The Knight Explorers Team Member +1
"Pika Pi..."
Ash and Pikachu stared at the scene in disbelief, especially Ash, who stood frozen in place, unable to process what had just happened. The Shadow Hoopa, along with so many Legendary Pokemon, had been defeated so effortlessly by Mr. Shizuru?
At this moment, the Legendary Pokemon that had been summoned and controlled by Shadow Hoopa, except for Regigigas, began to gather around.
However, they didn't approach but instead slowly floated to either side of Shizuru, gazing at the events unfolding before them.
Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Ho-Oh, Regigigas riding a white horse, and Kyurem...
"Wow..."
Ash's eyes lit up with excitement. Mr. Shizuru was indeed the mysterious masked man!
"Good job, Ash," Shizuru nodded at him and then added, "You've worked hard too, Latias, Latios."
"Mew~"
With the situation resolved, the summoned Legendary Pokemon began their journey back to their respective dimensions.
In the sky, a surge of space-time energy rippled, and two vortices slowly appeared. Dialga and Palkia flew into them, returning to their own dimensions.
Rayquaza nodded at Shizuru and, with its massive body, soared into the clouds like a flying dragon, quickly disappearing from sight.
Kyurem had intended to accompany Shizuru back but, seeing that he still had unfinished business, roared and returned to the Reverse World.
In the end, only Gogoat, Groudon, and Regigigas remained by Shizuru's side.
Seeing Groudon's appearance, Shizuru couldn't help but twitch his mouth. Still, he turned to Hoopa and said, "Hoopa, please send Groudon back to where it belongs."
"No problem! Leave it to Hoopa!"
A golden halo emerged from Hoopa and formed a massive portal in front of Groudon.
Groudon walked through the portal and finally breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the familiar surroundings.
Fortunately, it had returned.
As the halo retracted, Maya and Barza, along with their team, rushed back with the completed Punishment Flask.
When they saw the now-calmed Hoopa, they froze in their tracks.
"Where's Shadow Hoopa?" Barza searched for it but couldn't detect its presence.
Maya covered her mouth, unable to believe what she was seeing, as she turned to Hoopa, who was grinning mischievously.
"Hoopa is here!" Hoopa declared.
"What...what just happened?" Sylina asked, her eyes filled with bewilderment.
"Mr. Shizuru used his power to purify Shadow Hoopa's anger. Hoopa has regained its true power!" Ash excitedly explained to everyone.
Maya and Barza were momentarily stunned.
Purified anger? How was this possible? But soon, Barza quickly reacted, turning to Shizuru and sincerely expressing his gratitude.
"Thank you so much for your help, Mr. Shizuru."
"You're welcome," Shizuru said, then turned his attention back to Hoopa. "But it's not over yet."
Barza was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
"Although Hoopa has regained its true power, the punishment power cast upon it has not been lifted," Shizuru explained.
Upon hearing this, Barza and Maya immediately understood.
Hoopa still couldn't pass through its own ring!
Hoopa had reverted to its smaller form and summoned a ring, attempting to pass through it.
However, it was as if an invisible barrier blocked its path, preventing it from passing through no matter how hard it tried.
Hoopa couldn't help but feel discouraged.
Seeing this, Ash immediately rushed forward and embraced Hoopa, determined to help it pass through the ring.
"Don't give up, Hoopa! Let's do this together!"
Hoopa paused for a moment, then looked at the determined Ash and nodded vigorously. "Yes! Hoopa hasn't given up!"
"Let's go!"
With that, Ash hugged Hoopa and charged towards the ring.
Ash, unaffected by the restriction, passed through effortlessly, while Hoopa remained blocked on the other side.
Undeterred, Ash decided to try pulling Hoopa from the other side.
"Hoopa, give me your hand!" Ash grabbed Hoopa's hand.
"We'll help too!" Sylina and Hitoru joined in, rushing forward.
"Big brother, you go to the back, and I'll help from the front!" Maya suggested.
Barza acknowledged her, and the siblings positioned themselves on either side of the ring, extending their hands. The Arceus amulet hanging around their necks began to glow with a golden light.
The light enveloped Hoopa, attempting to break the seal.
Time ticked by, and everyone clenched their teeth, trying to break through the seal with sheer force.
"..."
After a moment, Shizukake sighed and stepped forward, addressing Hoopa, "Hoopa, do you still not understand the true meaning of punishment?"
"Punishment?" Hoopa strained as he looked at Shizukake.
"Now that you possess such immense power, if you were to return to the Origin Valley with Maya and Barza, would you still use this power to bring disaster to the Origin Valley as you did a hundred years ago?" Shizukake asked.
At these words, Maya and Barza, who were nearby, were slightly taken aback.
Hoopa shook his little head vigorously, "Of course not! Maya and Barza are Hoopa's family! Everyone in the Origin Valley has been kind to Hoopa, and Hoopa would never harm them!"
"So, you've understood after all?" Shizukake smiled slightly, "Look, everyone is working hard for you, waiting for you to lift the seal. Everyone in the Origin Valley is also waiting for you to return and cause some mischief, to live with you."
Hoopa paused for a moment, and memories flashed through his mind.
Whether it was a hundred years ago or the experiences in the Origin Valley...
Family...
That's right! Guilis had said something similar to him; they were family, and Maya and Barza were family too! Everyone was waiting for him to return!
This time, he would use his true power to help everyone, and he wouldn't mess up again! With this realization, Hoopa felt the barrier in front of him suddenly disappear.
The next moment, his body miraculously passed through the halo.
Hoopa looked at his halo in surprise and delight, "Hoopa did it!"
Maya and Barza were also incredibly excited inside.
"That's great..."
Everyone clapped their hands in celebration.
Shizukake stood at a distance, watching this scene, thinking to himself that it was indeed a world of the heart.
Hoopa had his own family and friends in the Origin Valley, and it seemed unlikely that they could all live together on the World Tree.
After a brief moment of thought, Shizukake abandoned his original plan.
As for now... With the task completed, it was time for them to return home! Shizukake asked Hoopa to use his halo to send him, Gogoat, and Regigigas back to the ranch.
Hoopa readily agreed, "Leave it to Hoopa!"
"Mr. Shizukake, goodbye!" Ash and Pikachu waved vigorously to bid Shizukake farewell.
"Good luck at the Alola League!" Shizukake smiled slightly.
"We will!" Determination filled Ash's eyes.
Shizukake glanced at Yulijia and Sarina once more.
Now that the crisis of Flareblaze Team had been averted, Yurika might continue to travel with her Pokemon, Soft, by her side. It seemed that Yurika was indeed a true Legendary Pokemon Trainer!
As for Sarina...
She was the first companion in the anime to express her feelings for Ash, but unfortunately, Ash only knew about Pokemon battles and missed out on the girl's affections.
However, these were now parts of Ash's story.
Shizukake withdrew his gaze and looked towards the Knight Explorers.
"I'll be waiting for you at the ranch."
"Miu~" Dreamy, Teddiursa, and Biktini happily nodded their heads.
When the New Year's Eve approached, they would return to the ranch!
"Well then, goodbye, everyone!"
Shizukake nodded to the group and then turned to walk through the halo, returning to the ranch.
In the end, Ash and his companions bid farewell to Hoopa, Barza, and Maya and embarked on their journey to the next city to obtain the next badge.
Hoopa, Barza, and Maya left Desert City and returned to their hometown, the Origin Valley.
Having regained his full power, Hoopa would no longer mess things up.
He successfully summoned the rain, helping Grandpa Dam irrigate his fields, and saw the joy on Grandpa Dam's face.
Hoopa used his power to help Grandma Mera move goods that she couldn't manage on her own, and she rewarded him with lots of donuts to eat.
One after another.
Every time Hoopa saw the smiles on everyone's faces, he felt delighted.
Dreamy, Teddiursa, and Biktini, who had come with Hoopa, were genuinely happy for him.
They had intended to invite Hoopa to join the Knight Explorers, but now it seemed that Hoopa had his own life here.
So, after spending a few days in the Origin Valley, Dreamy, Teddiursa, and Biktini found Hoopa.
"Miu!" (We're leaving!)
Hoopa was taken aback and quickly asked, "Where are you going?"
Teddiursa replied, "Miu!" (We're the Knight Explorers, and we're continuing our journey to help Pokemon in need around the world!)
"Will Hoopa be able to see you again?" Hoopa asked, reluctant to part.
"Miu~" (Of course we can~)
Intrigued by the Knight Explorers' adventures, Hoopa slept by Dreamy and the others' side that night, listening to their tales of interesting events from their travels.
The Knight Explorers' journey sounded so fascinating to Hoopa as it listened with wide eyes. It wanted to join in the fun too! But it remembered that the Origin Valley still needed its help...
Hoopa sighed, and its glum expression was soon noticed by Mayali.
"What's wrong, Hoopa? Did something happen to make you unhappy?" Mayali asked with concern.
Hoopa then shared the story of the Knight Explorers with Mayali.
After hearing the tale, Mayali instantly understood Hoopa's thoughts.
A gentle smile appeared on her face as she said to Hoopa, "If you want to go, you can travel with Mew and the others too!"
Hoopa looked up in disbelief, but soon a worry crossed its mind. "But what about Mayali and Balza? I'll miss you both, and you'll miss me too, right?"
Mayali smiled and pointed at the ring on Hoopa's body. "You can already pass through the ring, can't you? If you want to see us, you can come back to the Origin Valley anytime, anywhere, by passing through the ring!"
"Oh, right!" Hoopa laughed foolishly.
The next morning, as the Knight Explorers packed their belongings, preparing to bid farewell to Hoopa, Balza, and Mayali, they saw Hoopa following them with a large backpack.
As it chased after them, Hoopa shouted, "Wait for me!"
Mew looked on in confusion, "Mew?"
Were these packages parting gifts for them?
But the next moment, Hoopa's words left the Knight Explorers' Pokemon stunned.
"Hoopa has decided to go out and play with you all!" Hoopa exclaimed excitedly, "Mayali and Balza have agreed too!"
"What?!"
"Mew?"
"Nini?!"
The three Pokemon were utterly shocked.
Bear-chan still had its original thoughts, "What?... What?!" (But what about Mayali, Balza, and everyone else in the Origin Valley if you leave?)
"It's fine!" Hoopa summoned the ring on its body, "As long as I have the ring, I can come back anytime, anywhere, and see Mayali and Balza!"
Bear-chan, Mew, and Bickity were speechless.
At that moment, Balza and Mayali also came out of the house. Seeing Hoopa with its large backpack, they said, "Be careful on your journey!"
"Hoopa understands!" Hoopa waved at the two of them with a smile, "Mayali, Balza, if you miss Hoopa, I'll come back to see you!"
Mayali chuckled, "Go on, have fun."
"Yes, yes!" Hoopa nodded vigorously.
It was getting late, and they needed to set off.
After their final farewells, Mew, Bear-chan, Bickity, and Hoopa boarded the Thunder Latios and departed the Origin Valley, flying towards a distant destination.
A new journey awaited them.
Parida Year 203, October 15th, Winter.
As autumn ended, the Parida West Region experienced a new round of cooling.
The Gym Challenge was coming to a close, and Gym Leaders across the region were taking their vacations one after the other.
The League Conference was about to commence.
Qi Shu also took a break, and Shizuru began planning to spend the winter in the Alola Region before the snow arrived.
The Pokemon on the ranch were all fine. He had purchased well-equipped ranch facilities in the Alola Region, and there was a vast meadow for the Pokemon to run freely.
For Riding Goat and Salt Rock Golem, it was just a change of location.
Shizuru had already discussed this with Zack. This winter, he planned to take his family and Pokemon to the warm Alola Region for a break, temporarily halting their exports.
Xiaoshu was now ten months old. After a month of practice, she could clearly say "Papa" and "Mama."
The next crucial phase in her development was learning to stand.
The weather in Parida was cold, and the child could only stay indoors. In comparison, the Alola Region was more suitable.
The spacious meadow and the warm, comfortable climate were not only ideal for the Pokemon but also for Xiaoshu to practice standing and explore the world.
With this in mind, Shizuru made up his mind.
He decided to depart for the Alola Region the day after tomorrow to spend the winter there!
