Chapter 624: Shattered Eternal Night
"Roar—!"
The Red Dragon took a single step forward, then reared back and unleashed a thunderous bellow into the sky. From within its massive frame, an overwhelming surge of energy coiled like a storm.
A blinding golden Radiance erupted from the Dragon Crystal embedded in its chest—tearing a jagged rift through the eternal night of Silver Heaven. A scorching Pressure Wave exploded outward, reducing the surrounding heavenly illusion to ash.
"You, false prophet of Justice—self-proclaimed emissary of righteousness!"
The Red Dragon spread its vast wings wide, its molten-lava eyes locking onto the distant Barachiel. A cold, merciless fury burned within them. "Only the purest strength will make you understand—a new era has arrived!"
"Boom—!"
In an instant, the air shattered with a deafening crack. Extreme heat warped the space around them, and a blinding white column of fire erupted from the Red Dragon’s blood-red maw, instantly tearing open the pitch-black heavens.
This was no special breath. Merely a casual probe—Kai Xiusu’s idle exhalation.
Yet, amplified by the Elemental Master’s explosive power and the Red Dragon’s overwhelming presence, even the most basic Fire Breath surpassed the full-force spew of an ancient Red Dragon.
Now, Kai Xiusu stood at the apex of the Material Realm. Every gesture, every breath, could summon catastrophe.
Where the blinding white fire column passed, the night sky of Silver Heaven was effortlessly rent apart. Heavenly Power condensed into stars and angels—wiped out in the aftermath.
"Watch out!"
Walter’s face twisted in panic. He gripped his heavy Sun God’s Circular Shield, and instantly, a radiant light screen flared before the group—its surface etched with the sacred emblem of the sun.
Shield of the Sun!
"Unbelievable breath!"
Titus flared his wings and poured every ounce of strength into his own breath, summoning a sea of flames in the sky—yet his form was still far from his true, full stature.
It wasn’t that Kai Xiusu was holding back—far from it. He couldn’t afford to be obvious. The avatar’s strength was limited, and he was already operating on dual threads.
Walter and Titus’s combined defense was like paper against the white fire column—shattered in an instant.
Barachiel stood firm, his dark purple eyes blazing with stellar radiance. "No matter the age, justice and order remain eternal!"
From all around, waves of Heavenly Power surged toward him, coalescing into a colossal, starlit shield that blocked the onslaught before him.
"Boom!"
The collision unleashed a cataclysmic explosion. Stellar radiance clashed with flame-light in a dazzling, chaotic dance. The shockwave rippled out for hundreds of meters.
"Hahahaha! Barachiel—you’re worthy of battle!"
Kai Xiusu laughed wildly, then snapped his jaws shut, still puffing white smoke. With a mighty slam of his wings, he soared into the sky.
As he ascended, Kai Xiusu activated his Instant Casting ability, slapping on a dozen buffs in rapid succession. Spell-light erupted around him, a dazzling symphony of arcane brilliance dancing across his body.
Then—his wings unfurled.
The fifty-meter-long body of the Red Dragon streaked across the sky at unimaginable speed, trailing a phantom-like afterimage of flame.
"Shake, you hypocrites! Your end shall mark the collapse of the old order in Feiansuo Continent—and the dawn of a new one!"
The shriek of his wingtips slicing through the air echoed across the heavens, shaking the very fabric of space.
Walter stared up, teeth clenched. "How… could it be so fast?"
He raised his golden holy sword, and一道 golden-red fire—like a miniature sun—pierced the night, descending from above.
"Aaargh!"
Titus roared, unleashing a barrage of ninth-ring Flame Meteors that streaked across the sky, their aura blazing toward the Red Dragon.
In an instant, the combined might of two titans unleashed a storm of destruction—fire that could level towns, now hurtling toward the Red Dragon at breakneck speed.
Kai Xiusu hovered high above, overlooking the Gold Dragon, and sneered with contempt. "Don’t you know… people once called me the Master of Fire?"
The Red Dragon lifted its head, then opened its maw wide—like a bottomless abyss.
[Dragon Absorption]
A terrifying vortex erupted from its throat, a black hole devouring all. The very weave of magic around it warped under the immense pull.
In an instant, both Walter’s Sun God’s holy flame and Titus’s Flame Meteors were sucked in—absorbed, devoured, transformed into raw energy.
In the stunned silence of the battlefield, Kai Xiusu licked his lips with a satisfied grunt. "Still… not full."
"You—!"
Titus’s face twisted in fury, his golden dragon visage now terrifying.
Walter swung his longsword, voice sharp with rage. "Arrogant fiend!"
Barachiel raised his luminous silver sword, his gaze cold and piercing. "This is Silver Heaven—the grave of sinners. You shall not defile it with your arrogance!"
The blade, intricately engraved, erupted with lightning energy, arcing violently. Above, dark clouds churned across the eternal night, and blinding bolts of lightning writhed like serpents, coiled with lethal intent.
[Heavenly Lightning]
Barachiel channeled the might of Heaven’s Mountain, pouring it into his sword. A lightning column erupted skyward—then, in a torrential downpour, a colossal bolt of divine fury crashed down, its diameter spanning meters.
The thunderbolt, blazing with heavenly power, tore through the sky like a wound in the night—truly, a divine punishment from above.
"Boom!"
The thunder came late—yet when it did, it shook the world. The sheer force sent shockwaves through the ground, felling countless allied soldiers, some collapsing unconscious on the spot.
But Kai Xiusu showed no fear. He roared once more, his will bending reality. Above him, a monstrous dragon maw and swirling spell vortices formed, blocking the lightning’s path.
[Dragon Reaving]
"Zzzzz—!"
The thunderbolt struck—yet instead of being destroyed, the lightning was plundered. The Red Dragon’s body was laced with blinding arcs, the Eye of the Storm Sovereign flashing wildly.
He did it again—swallowed the divine lightning whole.
"Lightning Element… a structured force of divine power, intertwined with a fragment of Heaven’s Mountain’s primordial source," Kai Xiusu murmured, savoring the electric pulse in his mouth.
This lightning was unlike anything he’d faced—far more potent than the Eye of the Storm Sovereign. Had he not neutralized it with spells, a direct hit would have left even him scarred.
Barachiel’s expression flickered with surprise—then cold disdain. "Greedy Red Dragon… if you feast on spells, then taste this: Wrath of Heaven!"
With a roar, he unleashed the full authority of Heaven’s Mountain, wielding his lightning-cracked sword and commanding the entire sky—sealed beneath eternal night.
At last, the Lord of Silver Heaven revealed his true, infinite might.
The black sky was now illuminated by blinding lightning, as bright as day. Countless bolts rained down in relentless fury, as if the entire world screamed in wrath.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Even Kai Xiusu couldn’t absorb it all.
Without hesitation, the Red Dragon flared his wings, using his unmatched grace, speed, and aerial maneuverability to become a crimson afterimage—darting through the storm like a phantom, weaving between the thunderbolts.
"Barachiel, kill him!" Walter clenched his sword, breathless with excitement.
Though he couldn’t join the assault, just seeing the hated dragon hunted was enough.
"True Lord of Luciath!" Titus breathed in awe.
Meanwhile, Kai Xiusu used Titus’s perspective to silently observe Barachiel—searching for weakness.
Barachiel raised his silver longsword, its edges crackling with blinding lightning. His voice rang out, firm and unyielding:
"Greedy Red Dragon… tremble beneath the wrath of heaven! You shall receive the fate of invaders—death!"
"Boom!"
The thunder roared on, endless, relentless. The Red Dragon was forced into constant evasion—never still, never resting.
But in the chaos, Kai Xiusu found it.
Barachiel was channeling the authority of Silver Heaven itself to summon the lightning. As long as this realm remained intact, his power flowed endlessly—like an emperor within his own domain.
To change this, Kai Xiusu had to shatter Silver Heaven.
He spread his wings. Above him, [Bahamut's Wind] glowed with silver light, forming a half-spherical barrier.
For a moment, the divine order held back the thunderbolts—granting the Red Dragon a rare, precious breath.
Kai Xiusu felt the thunder energy surge within him. He looked down at Barachiel, a fierce smile forming.
"These lightning strikes are quite good… so I’ll return them all!"
With a thunderous slam of his wings, he unleashed a storm—thunderbolts and fire, wild and unrestrained.
But this was not the end.
Kai Xiusu opened his maw—spewing a black-red breath of Chaos. Chaos essence wove into the storm, merging fire and lightning in a maelstrom of destruction.
The clash of thunder and flame raged, spiraling into an overwhelming force of annihilation.
This was no mere Revenge Storm. It was Kai Xiusu’s own creation—[Destruction Storm]—its power long since broken free of the Ninth Circle’s limits.
Barachiel’s eyes widened—just slightly. Then, fury burned in them.
"Red Dragon… I underestimated you. You dare touch Primordial Chaos? Do you even understand its essence?!"
Even Barachiel had to brace himself against the storm. But within Silver Heaven, he drew from near-infinite power.
He raised his wings and blew a bright silver horn—its sound piercing, its light like stars.
[Wall of Order]
Silver radiance spiraled around them, forming a perfect polygonal fortress in the sky—a rigid, unbreakable bastion of order.
This was the Projection of the Altar Mountain Residence, a fortress immune to chaos.
"Shhh—!"
Wind howled. Lightning and flame exploded everywhere. The storm raged—consuming everything. Only the Wall of Order remained untouched, its silver light repelling the chaos.
But then—Barachiel’s face changed.
He lowered the horn. "No… it’s not us he’s after. He seeks my realm!"
Too late.
Kai Xiusu, now fully aware of his target, laughed—fiercely, openly.
"Remember this—no one can stop the march of the Empire. No one can block my path!"
With a final, deranged roar, the Destruction Storm expanded—engulfing the sky. The spell reflections intensified, the air trembling with power.
True Dragon Mage. Elemental Master. The Karex bloodline. All forces within him unleashed in full.
Winds howled. The glowing flowers and vegetation of Silver Heaven were torn away, swept into the storm.
The dark-red Chaos Dragonfire devoured the stars, Mingyue, and the fluttering angels—sending them screaming into oblivion.
Far-off temples and fortresses vanished in the haze.
And the thunderbolts—countless, relentless—cracked the foundation of order, shattered the sacred mountains, and tore the eternal night to pieces.
All was destruction. All was collapse.
Barachiel’s entire world screamed in agony—its cries echoing even into the Outer Plane, the True Heaven Mountain.
On the ground, soldiers looked up—eyes wide. The night sky… was broken.
The miraculous Silver Heaven… was falling.
And above it all, the colossal Red Dragon swung its claw—ripping open the heavens.
Sunlight—long buried—poured through once more.
"NO ONE can stop me!" Kai Xiusu roared, his aura blazing. "If Hell stands before me, I’ll shatter it and cast it into the Abyss! If Heaven’s Mountain blocks my way, I’ll crush it—and bring Heaven crashing down to Earth!"
The storm of lightning and fire ruled the sky.
Within the silver fortress, Barachiel, Walter, and Titus stood, faces dark with dread.
Imperial soldiers knelt, awestruck by the might of the Emperor of the Ashen Flame. Many allied soldiers dropped their weapons, collapsing to their knees, whispering prayers.
Because—that was how they imagined the Avatar of Amannata.
The Red Dragon tearing open the night. The return of light.
High-level mage Zalan looked up, his eyes filled with despair.
"Gods… what kind of existence are we fighting?"
