Chapter 623: Terrifying Power Company (Part One)
"Hey hey... are you pulling this move right from the start?" Feng Bu Jue thought to himself. "But then again... since this is a Nightmare difficulty team dungeon, having a deathflag pop up in the first second isn't impossible..."
"Guess~ guess~ who I am~" The voice repeated the phrase in the same sing-song tone, seemingly waiting for Feng Bu Jue's response.
"This voice sounds unfamiliar. Definitely not someone I know..." Feng Bu Jue didn't rush to answer. He knew the key was to stay calm in moments like this. "Judging from the size and roughness of the hand covering my eyes, plus the voice... this should be a young woman. If this is a Supernatural Theme scenario, then she's a Female Ghost."
"Guess~ guess~ who I am~" The voice repeated again, this time with a slightly more urgent tone.
"There's no way I could guess her name or identity. I just entered the scenario with zero clues, and this scenario didn't even have an Opening CG or introduction... So any guess would be wrong..." Feng Bu Jue remained silent, continuing his analysis. "Should I keep playing along? Or just break free using martial prowess?"
"Guess who I am!" The voice behind him grew heavier, clearly losing patience.
"Ahh, right, I wonder how the others are doing." Still ignoring the ghost, Feng Bu Jue used his mind to summon the game menu despite his eyes being covered. "Hmm... looks like no one's been instantly killed yet." He checked the team interface, confirming the five teammates: [Wang Tan Zhi], [siyu ruoli], [beiling xiaogu], [Juan Meng Huan], and [Tan Lang]. "Though I wonder if they're in the same situation as me..."
Finally, the figure behind Feng Bu Jue snapped. She practically roared: "Guess—guess—"
"Guess your sister!" Feng Bu Jue let out a ferocious roar, interrupting her. He shouted even louder than the owner of the hands gripping him, simultaneously grabbing her wrist and executing an over-the-shoulder throw.
"Ahh—" The figure covering Feng Bu Jue's eyes hadn't expected this turn of events. She screamed as she flew backward, crashing into the wall.
At the same time, Feng Bu Jue's vision returned. He quickly scanned the environment. He found himself in a seven-meter square room. The space was completely empty—no furniture, no doors, no windows. However, the six walls were covered in strange symbols glowing faintly green, illuminating the confined area.
"Hmm... big sister." Feng Bu Jue took just two seconds to survey the surroundings before fixing his gaze on the woman rising from the ground. "With that outfit... you're trying to say you're Sadako, aren't you?"
Feng Bu Jue asked this because the monster before him looked exactly like Sadako—a white-robed figure with long hair covering her face. She didn't stand properly after rising but instead crouched low, hands clawed, slowly approaching in a grotesque posture.
"Uh..." The Female Ghost stopped speaking, continuing her slow advance. She emitted raspy groans while slowly lifting her head, revealing a terrifying face.
If this were Xiao Tan, he'd probably be shivering in fear by now, his Terror Value skyrocketing.
But standing here was Feng Bu Jue.
"Is this supposed to be your answer to my question?" Feng Bu Jue squinted, staring at her calmly.
"Ahh!" The Female Ghost wasn't done yet. She suddenly lunged her face even closer.
Slap!
Feng Bu Jue delivered a sharp slap: "Are you done? If you have something to say, just say it!"
The Female Ghost hadn't expected this twist. Caught completely off guard, she staggered backward, nearly falling.
A few seconds later, she cupped her face, glaring at Feng Bu Jue with mournful eyes as she screeched: "Are you out of your mind?!"
"Is that my problem?" Feng Bu Jue kept his hands in his pockets, speaking matter-of-factly. "We're not even close. Why did you blindfold me and make me guess who you are? And don't get me started on swaying your seductive figure over here and shoving your face into mine... What exactly were you trying to do? Did you think I was handsome and wanted to flirt with me?"
The Female Ghost was stunned: "Who'd flirt with you! I'm a ghost! I was trying to scare you!"
"Ahhh~ you should've said so earlier." Feng Bu Jue spread his hands. "Misunderstanding, pure misunderstanding."
Seeing Feng Bu Jue's relaxed attitude, the Female Ghost stood straight, pushed her hair aside, and stared at him with a more ordinary expression. "Are you even human? How can you be so calm? Oh... I get it. You're one of us, right? Tell me! How did you get in here? Are you here to cause trouble? Let me warn you—we're under Freddie's protection! Have you heard of Haunting Street's Top Enforcer?"
"Oh, that pedophile with the fashion sense of a dung pile." Feng Bu Jue calmly remarked.
"You! You-you-you..." The Female Ghost stepped back, then turned her head to shout, "Security guard! A non-human intruder has come to cause trouble in the terror house!"
After she shouted, about a minute later, three green light beams appeared on one wall. Soon, they formed a Light Portal.
Vrrrrr—
After two strange buzzing sounds, the portal rippled like jelly, and an Iron-Blood Warrior stepped through. (A fictional alien species—highly civilized extraterrestrial warriors resembling humanoid figures with fangs and claws, towering and muscular.)
"What's going on?" The Iron-Blood Warrior glanced at both the Female Ghost and Feng Bu Jue before asking. His voice carried a strange, beast-like timbre, but the System Translation Function rendered it understandable to Feng Bu Jue.
"What do you mean 'what's going on'? I'd like to know too!" The Female Ghost glared, pointing at Feng Bu Jue. "This one isn't human. Somehow he teleported in! Hmph... The tech department's otaku bunch must've messed up again!"
"Hey! My cousin works in tech." The Iron-Blood retorted. "Show some respect, will you?"
"Fine~ fine~" The Female Ghost crossed her arms, leaning against the wall. Somehow, she produced a cigarette and lighter, lighting up. "Fuh... Anyway, just take this guy away! I still haven't met my monthly quota, and now this nonsense happens. So annoying."
The Iron-Blood shrugged, stepping in front of Feng Bu Jue and looking down at him. "You heard her, kid. Are you coming with me willingly, or do I have to carry you?"
Feng Bu Jue sized him up before replying: "Uh... I'll walk myself."
With that, he straightened his collar and walked toward the exit.
The Iron-Blood security guard kept a sharp eye on him, following closely behind as they left the room together.
