Chapter 622: Learning to Share - The Valley of Creation
Chapter 622: Learning to Share - The Valley of Creation
Upon further reflection, it became clear that Fladarius had failed to obtain the giant stone, preventing him from destroying the world through the union of the stone and the Crown. Thus, his attention turned to the three legendary Pokemon: Gigalord, Eiperthal, and Jerania.
However, Daigo, who was aware of Fladarius' true identity, couldn't stand idly by and allow such a situation to unfold.
Therefore, Daigo joined forces with Ryudou and Karunae to address the crisis brought about by the Flareblaze Team.
"I wonder how Ailan is doing," Shizuru muttered.
If Ailan were also affected and unable to participate in this year's Kalos Conference, the plot might once again be disrupted, and Ash would likely claim the championship prematurely.
Shizuru slowly sipped the water in his cup.
Now that he was older, with a wife and child, he only desired a peaceful life.
He wasn't keen on following the plot developments that would unfold afterward.
After all, with Ash and the others around, there was no need to worry about any significant crises.
Calculating the time, next year would be Alola, the year after would be Galar, and then it would be their turn in Paldea.
Dante was currently investigating the revival of Infinite Etera in the Galar region. Once he dealt with Infinite Etera, he could enjoy his retirement.
This wasn't just about assisting Dante and the Galar region; it was also about fulfilling Regigigas' wish.
The Darknight that loomed over the Galar region should come to an end once and for all.
This way, Regigigas could also enjoy his retirement on the ranch, just like Daigo.
The morning classes concluded swiftly, and after packing up his belongings, Shizuru mounted his Gogoat and returned to the ranch.
Even before landing, Shizuru spotted wisps of smoke rising from his chimney.
As noon approached, Qi Shu was in the kitchen preparing lunch for everyone, while Little Tree played with toys on a picnic blanket in the yard, surrounded by several Pokemon.
Before Shizuru could dismount, Little Tree, with her keen eyes, spotted him.
Upon seeing the red figure in the sky, Little Tree excitedly looked up and shouted, "Pappa!"
Had Shizuru returned?
Hearing this, Ai Guan Shi, her sister, also looked up and, as expected, saw Shizuru and his Gogoat descending from above.
As Shizuru dismounted, he saw Little Tree turn over and crawl towards him.
"Pappa!"
A smile spread across Shizuru's face as he crouched down and extended his arms to receive Little Tree, then effortlessly lifted her into his embrace.
"Whose cute baby is this?"
"Pappa!"
Smiling, Shizuru pinched her little face and carried her towards the living room. "Let's go, it's time for lunch!"
Qi Shu had just finished cooking and was bringing the dishes to the table.
Upon seeing Shizuru, she asked, "How was class today?"
"Yeah, I've started teaching those kids about weather knowledge." Shizuru placed Little Tree in front of the fireplace to play with the Fireant: "Hmm, I used to think training Pokemon was simple, but now, looking at all this systematic knowledge, it's getting more complicated."
"Simple? Humph, are you showing off that you've trained Gogoat and the others to be so strong?"
"Of course not. In fact, I haven't trained Gogoat at all. It's a legendary Pokemon with immense power, and it's strong even without my training."
As Gogoat nudged its head closer, Shizuru reached out and patted it.
"I just used some special dishes and Life Sheep Milk for their physiques," Shizuru explained.
"That's part of training too!" Qi Shu corrected him. "Adequate nutrition is also crucial during Pokemon growth."
Shizuru thought for a moment and nodded. "That's true."
In the afternoon, the couple enjoyed a rare joint day off.
Taking advantage of this time, Qi Shu invited her parents from Brew Light City to visit.
The couple hadn't seen Little Tree in a long time, and when they arrived, they instantly fell in love with her adorable demeanor and held her close in their arms.
Little Tree had only met her grandparents a few times when she had no memory, and they were strangers to her.
Being held in their arms, Little Tree seemed hesitant and afraid, her big eyes searching for her father. When she spotted Shizuru, she immediately reached out her arms, wanting to return to her father's embrace.
Witnessing this, Qi Shu's parents felt heartbroken.
Shizuru stepped forward and introduced Little Tree to them: "Little Tree, this is your grandfather and grandmother. Like us, they are also your family."
Qi Shu's mother took the opportunity to present the gift she had prepared for the children—milk candy, a specialty of Brew Light City, which was very popular among the local children.
As soon as the packaging was opened, a sweet milky fragrance wafted out.
Little Tree's eyes glanced over.
"Do you want to try it?" Qi Shu's mother eagerly offered the milk candy.
Three minutes later, Little Tree was happily playing with her grandparents.
Shizuru: "..."
This was too easy. He couldn't shake the feeling that in the future, a villain could take their daughter away with just a piece of candy.
The grandparents adored their granddaughter, competing to hold her all afternoon and refusing to let go.
They played with Little Tree all over the ranch, and when it was time to leave, Little Tree even showed a hint of reluctance to part.
The two elders were reluctant to part with their granddaughter.
"Why don't we take Little Tree to Brew Light City for a few days?" Qi Shu's mother suggested.
Qi Shu couldn't help but laugh, "Mom, Little Tree is still young. If she's away from us for too long at night, she'll make a fuss. This morning, when her dad went to work, she almost cried."
"Then why don't you all go and have some fun for a couple of days!"
"Forget it," Shizuru said. "I need to look after the Pokemon at the ranch, and I have to work at the Gym."
Shizuru nodded in agreement. "When Little Tree grows up a bit more, we'll send her to Brew Light City to spend some time with you two. By then, you won't have to worry about her being a nuisance."
"How could she be a nuisance?" Qi Shu's mother exclaimed. "I've never seen such a well-behaved child. Qi Shu wasn't nearly as well-behaved when she was little. She was a handful and even wet the bed at night."
Qi Shu was speechless.
Shizuru couldn't help but chuckle, and Qi Shu immediately twisted his arm from behind.
"Mom!"
"Okay, okay, I won't say another word," Qi Shu's mother said, smiling. She turned to Little Tree and said, "Little Tree, your great-grandparents are going home. When you grow up, remember to visit us in Brew Light City, okay?"
Little Tree blinked her eyes, not quite understanding.
Shizuru held Little Tree and taught her how to say goodbye to others.
Little Tree was smart and quickly learned.
She waved her little hand and said with a cute gesture, "Bye-bye!"
Qi Shu's parents waved back at Little Tree, responding, "Bye-bye!"
The two elders left, and Little Tree sat on the grass, eating the milk candy they had given her.
Fireant watched the milk candy in the basket.
Shizuru squatted down and taught Little Tree about sharing.
"Little Tree, Fireant is your good friend. Would you like to share these milk candies with it?"
Hearing this, Little Tree looked at Fireant and then handed the milk candy in her hand to it.
Fireant seemed very happy.
"Fireant is so happy!" Shizuru smiled and encouraged.
Encouraged, Little Tree didn't know why, but she could sense that doing this would make her father and the Pokemon very happy.
So she thought carefully with her little head and, surprisingly, wobbled to her feet. She held a milk candy in her small hand and offered it to Shizuru.
Seeing this, Shizuru was slightly taken aback, but a smile immediately appeared on his face.
"Thank you, Little Tree. Dad really likes it!" he said.
Little Tree happily made a joyful sound. She looked down at the milk candies in the basket, picked up another one, looked around, and then crawled towards the Emperor Flame and the others, who were not far away.
The Emperor Flame, Water Lord, and Thunder God felt their hearts tighten with tension.
Little Tree approached them and sat down, babbling as she extended her hand to offer the milk candy to them.
The Emperor Flame felt a deep sense of relief and used its large tongue to roll up the milk candy, feeling sweet both in its mouth and in its heart.
Then, Little Tree offered milk candies to the Water Lord, Thunder God, Motolizard, Gogoat, Frost Fairy, Pterafly, and Qi Shu...
Only when all the milk candies in the basket were shared did Little Tree stop and sit on the grass, giggling at the sight of everyone's reactions.
Shizuru and Qi Shu, as well as the surrounding Pokemon, couldn't help but smile at the adorable and well-behaved Little Tree.
In the Alola Region, at the Origin Valley.
A vast mountain range isolated this land, and within the valley, people had carved out a secluded settlement.
The air was filled with a vibrant energy, and rumors circulated that this place had been blessed by the creator deity, Arceus.
Ivory statues and golden wheels resembling Arceus were displayed throughout the valley, cherished by the locals.
Today was also the day when Dream, Teddiursa, Bickity, and Raichu arrived here on their journey.
Dream curiously touched the ivory statue on the grass, "Miu?"
Bickity looked around and noticed something unusual—the energy in this place was incredibly dense!
Bickity immediately shared this news with several of its companions.
Dream sniffed the air, carefully sensing the unique aura.
"Hmm..." Teddiursa, on the other hand, seemed a bit lost. Where had they traveled to? Teddiursa looked at the Rotom Phone and asked, "Hmm hmm!"
The Rotom Phone automatically switched to the map interface, and the Rotom inside responded in a mechanical voice:
"You are currently in the southern part of the Alola Region, at the Origin Valley, Rotom! Online sources describe this place as a secluded rural town with a unique culture related to the creator deity, Rotom!"
"Miu?"
The creator deity—wasn't that the incredibly powerful Pokemon, Arceus, that Shizuru had battled before? Dream remembered how Shizuru, along with many other Pokemon, had joined forces to defeat it.
Could it be that this powerful Pokemon lived here?!
Several Pokemon from the Knight Explorers looked up at the distant human settlement in the valley.
Meanwhile, in a corner of the town...
An elderly man named Dam stood by the farmland, his face filled with distress as he gazed at the parched land, a victim of the recent drought.
For some time now, the sun had been unyieldingly intense, drying up the freshly watered fields.
This repetitive cycle had left the elderly man, well past his prime, utterly exhausted.
Dam, troubled by the drought, stood by the field with a hoe in hand, his face etched with worry.
Just then, a small, pink and grey Pokemon flew in from a distance.
It had a braid on its head, two upward-curving horns on the sides, each adorned with a golden ring. Its belly bore a pink V-shaped pattern, and its arms were detached from its body, appearing short and small. The most striking feature, however, was the golden ring around its waist.
"Grandpa Dam!" the Pokemon's voice resonated in the old man's mind.
Hearing the commotion, the elderly man turned to see the visitor, a smile on his face. "Hoopa?" he asked warmly.
Hoopa nodded repeatedly. Noticing the troubled expression on the old man's face, it asked, "Grandpa Dam, what's the problem?"
Dam's face immediately showed concern. "Lately, the sun has been too intense, and it hasn't rained at all. The crops are withering, and I wish it would rain so we could water the fields."
Hoopa thought carefully, then suddenly had an idea.
The ring around its waist slowly floated away, enlarging as it hovered above the field.
"Let Hoopa help!" Hoopa communicated telepathically.
As the old man, Dam, stood stunned, Hoopa's gaze shifted to the field. It seemed to gather its strength and said, "Hoopa, fetch—rainwater, come quickly!"
The next moment, a dazzling light burst from the golden ring.
The space within the ring connected with the space outside, forming a passage.
Instantly, something fell rapidly through the ring.
Rainwater? Dam's face lit up with anticipation.
But the next second, candies rained down from the ring, covering the entire field.
Dam: "!!!"
Hoopa: "!!!"
"Hoopa didn't mean to!" Hoopa panicked, as it had intended to summon rainwater.
Dam sighed in resignation. "Oh well..."
Hoopa became more flustered and tried to make amends by summoning rainwater again.
But Dam interrupted, "Hoopa, I appreciate your intention, but we don't need your help with the field."
"Hoopa..." Hoopa felt guilty, as it had genuinely wanted to help.
Just then, Hoopa sensed three unfamiliar auras approaching.
It looked up and saw three unfamiliar Pokemon, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.
For a moment, they stared at each other.
Hoopa was startled.
Mew, Teddiursa, and Bickity also looked at the Pokemon before them in surprise.
Had they just heard correctly? Was this Pokemon named Hoopa?
Wasn't Hoopa the Pokemon Shizuru mentioned in a previous request? Mew and Teddiursa remembered the request, where Shizuru asked them to help Hoopa with its liberation.
Although they hadn't encountered Hoopa until now, they had accidentally stumbled upon it while lost.
Dam noticed the three unfamiliar Pokemon and, after glancing at Hoopa, asked, "Hoopa, are they your new friends?"
"Hoopa has never met them before!" Hoopa replied.
Mew, however, noticed that the human needed help.
Having lived on a ranch for a while, Mew instantly recognized the signs of drought in the field.
Judging by Hoopa's expression, it seemed to have tried to help the old man but failed.
In that case, they could lend a hand too.
"Miu!" Mew communicated with Teddiursa and Bickity.
Upon hearing this, the two Pokemon's eyes lit up. Yes! It was time for the Knight Explorers to step in!
To make it rain, they needed a Pokemon that could use the Rain Dance technique.
Fortunately, they had one in their team. Mew released Raichu's Poke Ball, and a flash of light signaled Raichu's appearance in mid-air.
Dam and Hoopa were both startled by this.
"Miu!" Mew turned to Raichu and communicated their need for assistance.
Raichu scanned the situation below, nodded slightly, and then soared into the sky.
Instantly, the sky darkened, thunderclouds gathered, and heavy rain poured down, watering the parched field.
Witnessing this, Grandpa Dam's eyes widened in surprise.
It was raining! The Pokemon had helped them!
Hoopa, too, stared in awe, and couldn't help but ask, "Who are you?"
"Miu!" (We are the Knight Explorers, traveling the world!)
