Chapter 620: Squad
Chapter 620: Squad
As Emperor Liu Che led the two injured seniors away, Su Yu and the remaining cultivators refocused their attention on the psychic spring.
According to their initial plan, regardless of whether they had captured the giant psychic spring on Kunlun Mountain, they needed to secure all the smaller and larger psychic springs in the surrounding area.
The Kunlun Mountain Range contained a significant number of psychic springs. Besides the giant spring, there were four large springs and 102 smaller ones.
With Chancellor Cao leading the peak Eighth Rank squad, they intended to take control of all the springs in the Kunlun Mountain Range in one swift move.
However, before they could do that, they needed to gather intelligence on the enemy's movements.
They were currently about 20 kilometers away from the giant psychic spring.
Chancellor Cao, with the widest perception range, used his mental energy to scan the situation inside the giant spring and then informed Su Yu and the other cultivators:
"Currently, the Skrulls inside the giant spring are in the process of evacuating. However, the spatial rift above them is still contracting due to the forced passage of the Viderians, making it impossible for their spaceships to pass through in the short term.
Based on my estimates, it will take about a day for all the Skrulls to evacuate. If we let two Eighth Rank Skrulls leave first, it will still take at least six hours."
Upon hearing Chancellor Cao's words, one of the cultivators immediately responded, "Hmm, this is a good opportunity.
We can use this chance to attack the nearby large and small psychic springs, and try to reclaim all the springs in Kunlun Mountain by tonight!"
"Agreed, let's move now!"
"It would be a waste not to take advantage of this opportunity."
"Gonggel Peak is at the northwest end of Kunlun Mountain. We can start from the northwest and move southeast one by one."
The cultivators all agreed.
At this moment, Su Yu reminded them, "Everyone, don't forget to be on guard against the Skrull god-tier experts.
Seventh Rank is manageable; even if we can't defeat them, we can still run away.
But it's different with the god-tier. They almost all have the ability to instantly kill Sixth Rank experts. We can't afford another tragedy like what happened to Sima Yan and Fu Jian."
"Agreed," the cultivators all nodded.
They vividly remembered how Victoria, from over 20 kilometers away, used a few casually cast mental spells to instantly kill two of their companions.
They needed to learn from this and not give the enemy's god-tier experts any opportunities.
Chancellor Cao retracted his mental scan and looked at Su Yu, "Little friend Su Yu, you know the most about the Skrulls among all the cultivators here. Could you tell us which god-tier experts we need to be wary of?"
"Sure," Su Yu replied, rubbing his chin. "There are 18 god-tier beings on Skrull, with 7 of them being Skrull humans.
We don't need to consider the god-tier from other races for now, as the Skrull humans wanted to monopolize the Blue Planet and didn't bring other races when the war started.
So, at least for the near future, we don't need to worry about god-tier experts from other races appearing on the Blue Planet.
Of these 7 Skrull human god-tier, 3 belong to the free forces, and 4 belong to G2.
These 3 free forces are unlikely to appear on the Blue Planet in the short term, possibly only showing up during the final battle.
Therefore, we need to focus on these 4 god-tier experts from G2."
Before Su Yu could finish, a cultivator interjected, "Brother Su Yu, what is 'G2'?"
Many of the great cultivators present looked puzzled, as they had never heard the term before.
"Sorry, I forgot to explain," Su Yu scratched his head sheepishly. "‘G2’ stands for ‘Group of Two,’ consisting of the two most powerful nations in the Skrull world: the Empire of Blazing Sun and the Lankt Alliance. Together, the G2 holds over 70% of the Skrull human world’s military might, and the same goes for high-tier cultivators. It's similar to how the United States of America and the People's Republic of China were before the division on Earth."
"Oh, I see," the cultivators nodded in understanding.
"So, the ones we need to be most wary of are the four Deity-Rank cultivators from the G2," Su Yu continued. "Two of these deities are currently at the Giant Spirit Spring on Kunlun Mountain. The other two are Sidim, a Lankt Alliance powerhouse, and Manina I, the first king of the Blazing Sun Empire. Manina I is currently in seclusion, so the only one we need to guard against in the next six hours is Sidim, the Lankt Alliance’s Deity-Rank Spirit Master."
"Understood," the cultivators’ expressions grew serious.
Sidim, as a Spirit Master, might not be as fast as a Mind Master like Victoria, but no one dared to underestimate him. If they ventured too deep and gave the enemy a chance, it could end in their demise.
At this point, Chancellor Cao suddenly interjected, "How about we split into teams?"
"Currently, we have one Eighth-Rank, five Seventh-Rank, and sixteen Sixth-Rank cultivators. Three of these Sixth-Ranks are from the Evolutionary World and have special circumstances."
"Here’s how we’ll split up: I’ll act alone and mainly attack the four large Spirit Springs. Su Yu, you and Elder Yang will also act independently, focusing on the smaller Spirit Springs. The three from the Evolutionary World—Tina, Morning Star, and Empress Alyssa—will each lead a team of five Sixth-Rank cultivators. Tina and Morning Star will each lead five, and Empress Alyssa will lead six, all targeting the smaller Spirit Springs.
"Of course, everyone must remember—once the spatial rift above us shows any fluctuation, no matter what happens, we evacuate immediately!"
Chancellor Cao’s mention of "special circumstances" referred to their ability to resurrect, allowing them to sacrifice themselves to shield the Sixth-Rank cultivators in critical moments.
With each leading a team of only five or six Sixth-Rank cultivators, the burden of shielding others became much lighter. As long as they were cautious, major mistakes could be avoided.
Tina and the others had no objections, ready to support Su Yu in any way they could.
Su Yu walked up to Tina and Empress Alyssa, expressing his gratitude, "This will be a tough battle, and I really appreciate your help. Alyssa, if I recall correctly, the potion you took had some side effects, right?"
The side effect of the [Holy Radiance Chant] potion Alyssa had taken was a headache that lasted for three days.
Su Yu gently patted Alyssa’s head, feeling deeply concerned. This was her first time on Earth, and she had to run around dealing with headaches.
Alyssa’s headache was intense, almost as if her head was about to split open.
However, seeing Su Yu’s concern, her mood lifted.
She winked at Su Yu with a smile, "If you really want to thank us, why not take us on a tour of your world tomorrow? I’d love to see your great cities with my own eyes."
"Deal, it’s a promise!" Su Yu laughed, assuring her.
