Chapter 617: The Birth of Clone Lily (Second Update)
Chapter 617: The Birth of Clone Lily (Second Update)
On July 1, 1971, outside Hogwarts Castle in the Forbidden Forest.
Jerry stopped reversing time and took a deep breath.
Reversing time by over two decades without disrupting the world's natural time laws was still a challenge for him.
But fortunately, it seemed to have worked.
"At this time, Professor Snape and Lily should be at Spinner's End, and they haven't received their Hogwarts acceptance letters yet."
Jerry murmured to himself, then vanished with a Phantom Shift.
He reappeared above Spinner's End.
"Owl!"
He transformed into an owl using his Magic and, leveraging the owl's natural ability to locate people, flew toward where Lily Evans was.
Flying over the gloomy Spinner's End, he soon found a young Lily with dark red hair lying on the grass under a tall oak tree.
She was lying on the grass, her almond-shaped green eyes gazing at the blue sky, and asked a well-dressed boy beside her:
"Severus, do you think I will receive the acceptance letter from Hogwarts you mentioned?"
"Of course, you definitely will!"
The boy held the girl's hand and replied with determination.
Although Lily was a Muggle, many strange things had happened around her since childhood, so she might have Witch blood.
"I hope we can both be sorted into Slytherin!"
Lily smiled and sat up.
The boy looked surprised:
"Why? Didn't you think Gryffindor was better?"
"Because Severus, you like Slytherin the most. If I get accepted to Hogwarts, I want to be in the same house as you!"
Lily answered straightforwardly, looking at the boy.
Hearing Lily's response, the boy's face lit up with a happy smile.
"Professor Snape looked quite cute when he was young."
Jerry, now an owl perched on the oak tree, immediately recognized the well-dressed boy beside Lily as young Professor Snape.
"What a shame!"
Seeing the obvious mutual affection between the two, Jerry couldn't help but sigh. If Snape hadn't been so biased after they started at Hogwarts, things might have been different, and James Potter might not have had a role to play.
Without continuing to eavesdrop on their conversation, Jerry pushed off and flew down toward Lily like an arrow.
"Ouch, my hair!"
Lily and Snape were discussing the wonderful future of studying Magic together at Hogwarts and wondering when the adorable owls from Hogwarts would come to deliver her acceptance letter when she suddenly felt a pain at the back of her head. She watched as a white owl flew away with a strand of hair it had yanked from her head.
"Severus, I don't think owls are so cute anymore!"
"Um, the owls from Hogwarts aren't like that. They should be more polite, right?"
Young Snape looked at Lily, who was holding her head and staring resentfully at the flying owl, and replied, unsure of what to say.
A few kilometers away in the forest, Jerry resumed his human form, holding the strand of Lily's hair, and entered the ring world.
At the Azkaban Bodies Experiment Research Center, Jerry instructed the human-form beauty Nagini to activate the switch for the Experiment Room. He then took a strand of hair from young Lily and placed it into the magical version of the Regeneration Cradle.
The Regeneration Cradle was an advanced device developed by Dr. Zhao Helen using nanotechnology to repair bodily injuries. Ultron had once used the Regeneration Cradle and Vibranium to create Vision's body.
Jerry's version in the Azkaban Experiment Room was an upgraded model, combining Dr. Zhao Helen's invention with alien technology and magical manufacturing techniques.
Jerry's original intention in upgrading this machine was to use it to quickly create a new body when his own body was severely damaged and only his soul remained.
However, now he simply planned to use Lily's genetic material and this machine to create a clone identical to Lily.
Activating the Regeneration Cradle, Jerry input a regeneration potion he had formulated, primarily using the Rebirth Elixir. Complex magical arrays lit up on the surface of the Regeneration Cradle.
In less than a minute, a body identical to young Lily's emerged in the life pod filled with the regeneration potion.
At this point, if Jerry activated the activation button, the Lily in the Regeneration Cradle would awaken, possessing the same personality and behavior as young Lily, but without her memories.
So, she could be considered Lily, but also not Lily.
Her soul was a new soul born within this body, and if one had to describe it, she could be seen as Lily's identical twin sister.
Jerry hoped to give Snape a new beginning in the future, rather than truly resurrecting Lily, because even if Lily were resurrected, she would still love James, not Snape.
Given Snape's deep devotion to Lily, it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for him to fall in love with someone else.
However, if this person looked exactly like Lily and had a similar personality and behavior, the possibility would be greatly increased.
Of course, just reaching this point was not enough. The clone he had created had no memories, and he couldn't simply take the cloned Lily back to the future world.
Even if he used the laws of time to age the young Lily into an adult, it still wouldn't be perfect.
What he wanted to give Professor Snape was a real person with flesh, blood, and her own thoughts, not just a synthetic replica.
Therefore, he needed to put in more effort to achieve the desired effect.
Seeing that the cloned Lily was complete, Jerry began to implant the pre-designed memories and two special hidden suggestions into her brain.
The memories he implanted were objective and consisted of general knowledge. He also hid some potion-making knowledge.
This way, when the cloned Lily awoke, she would be no different from a normal eleven-year-old girl, except for the lack of the past eleven years of memories.
After completing this, he activated the new soul within the cloned Lily, transfigured a suitable set of clothes for her, and took her out of the ring world.
Reappearing in a forest near Spinner's End, Jerry carried the unconscious cloned Lily and Apparated away from Britain, arriving in Queens, New York.
