Chapter 614: The Five Elders' Cooperation!
Chapter 614: The Five Elders' Cooperation!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
A series of explosions erupted from the Giant Boar, bursting it from within like a popping balloon, disintegrating into the air.
Sagel reached out and caught the massive container holding the brain, which had fallen from above. With precise aim, he threw it back down in another direction.
Moving at an extremely high speed, the brain container resembled a black meteor, trailing a black streak across the sky.
"Hey! That's going to break!"
Atlas, representing 'Frenzy', shouted urgently, "It's over! It was still salvageable just now!"
They had already escaped, and everyone had made it out. At the very last moment, the brain container was within her grasp, but at this critical juncture, the reckless pirate threw it with such speed?
That glass dome couldn't withstand the impact of such velocity!
Could the Grand Pirate not even think of this?
Although they could survive without the 'Punk Hazard,' they would no longer be able to actively communicate with each other. In that case, the original body would suffer damage.
The original body, having already survived, couldn't afford to be harmed by this incident. This guy was too reckless!
Just as she finished speaking, the brain container that had crashed into the ground suddenly stopped, as if frozen in time.
Beneath the container, a bare hand caught its base, keeping it steady.
Maria looked up at the sky, where Sagel, amidst the gloomy sky, burned like a white flame, resembling the sun as a source of light. She smiled, "Ah, what a big brain."
Standing to her left and right were Hawkins and Ulchi.
Ulchi looked up at the massive brain inside the container, surprised. "Even a pure brain has something like this?"
"It's probably a power," Hawkins said indifferently. "Only a power could grow this big, and the shape doesn't resemble a giant's head."
Ulchi thought for a moment, then smiled strangely. "If this were in the Four Seas, perhaps a brain cult could be established. After all, it looks very divine."
As a Cleric, the former leader of the pirate group had a crew made up entirely of Clerics. Some were compassionate, while others were outright cultists.
There were many cults on the high seas.
Ulchi was well-versed in various cultist methods. A brain this size, in the Four Seas, where the Devil Fruit was not apparent and was almost considered legendary, could easily be used for cultist means of fundraising and control.
However, these were low-level methods. On the high seas, one could either be a Navy or a Pirate, and that was the most mainstream path.
"Sagel intentionally threw it to me, indicating its importance. Let's take it back."
Maria smiled and effortlessly supported the brain container with her palm, heading towards the direction of the Damnation Star.
Hawkins and Ulchi followed closely behind. Now that the object had been retrieved, although they didn't know whose brain it was, it was undoubtedly crucial since the captain had personally obtained it.
On the battlefield, the captain had already taken control of the situation, so they didn't need to get involved.
In the sky, Sagel, seeing that Maria had caught the brain container, ignored the four clones' dazed state and moved again with such speed that he almost created four afterimages. With a kick each, he sent all four flying, accompanied by their groans, faster than those below. Like falling stars, they crashed into the Damnation Star.
"Hmm?"
Atlas, as she was kicked, instinctively held the fire seed she had obtained close to her chest, preparing for the impending impact. But when her body touched the deck, she felt a gentle sensation, as if she had jumped and landed on a floor, with no impact at all.
This made her open her eyes, revealing confusion. "No, no injuries?"
"That's the most powerful 'Four Emperors'."
Sakya, covering the fire seed on his chest with one hand, sat up. His expression was hidden beneath the full-face helmet, but his voice carried a sense of calmness with a hint of relief.
"If he wanted to finish us off, we wouldn't be here. Only the person who claims to have reached the pinnacle of physical arts could have allowed us to land unharmed. It can be confirmed that he's here to help us."
With Sagel's abilities, knocking someone out without causing harm is child's play.
If he couldn't even do that, his physical arts wouldn't have reached this level.
"Fire Seed!"
Nas Shurou, seeing the person fly away, took a step forward with his horse hoof. The rapidly regenerating Peter also retreated into the quicksand.
"Don't run away!"
Nas Shurou's high-speed steps were almost as fast as island-wide teleportation. He had only taken two steps when Sagel's voice echoed from above.
The cold light flickered in his mirrored image, and without even lifting his head, he swung his sword, sending a chilling aura upwards.
Bang!
Just as the blade reached the top, it was struck by a fist, causing a powerful impact that shattered the ice crystals formed by the freezing air.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
It was just a fist, but it was firmly lodged on the sharp edge of the blade, causing Nas Shurou to tremble slightly as he held the sword, and the First Generation Onimaru to emit a whining vibration.
The force behind the fist was immense!
"It's clearly a physical art," Nas Shurou exclaimed.
He looked up in awe, "As expected, after all these years, you're the first person I've seen who has reached such a level in physical arts."
Physical arts and swordsmanship each have their own merits, but in terms of overall lethality, swordsmanship undoubtedly reigns supreme. Physical arts emphasize a holistic approach, focusing on the body and its vitality, which becomes even more powerful when cultivated to a higher level.
Take Kaido and Big Mom, for example; although they possess formidable killing power, if they were to transform into swordsmen of equal caliber, their lethality would be even greater.
Under normal circumstances, the more extreme and fierce the swordsmanship, the more likely it is to inflict damage on an opponent in a head-on clash.
However, Sagel's fist was firmly lodged on the blade's edge, merely embedding the knife into some of the skin on the fist.
The sheer hardness was startling!
"Then you'll see even more in the future!"
Sagel sneered and exerted force with his arm again, pushing the fist down on the First Generation Onimaru and smashing it into Nas Shurou's head. The impact shattered his skull, and the ensuing black-red shockwave surged into his body, destroying it.
Boom!
With a single strike, Sagel took a step back, creating a smoke ring with his foot, and in a flash, he appeared behind the Sandworm that had not yet fully submerged in the quicksand. Sagel's palm transformed into a blade, and with a 'puchi' sound, it pierced the Sandworm's massive eye, lodging itself in the eye socket.
Sagel lifted his arm, pulling the Sandworm out of the quicksand with sheer force, and then flung it into the sky.
"Haa!"
With a muffled shout, Sagel bent his leg and placed his left palm against his right, releasing a black-red beam from his hands that penetrated the Sandworm's body, causing it to expand. With a loud 'bang', the Sandworm exploded into a black cloud of smoke in the air.
"But they're also very tenacious!" he sneered.
Although their strength was not on par with his own top-tier level, their power lay in their immortality. No matter how they were struck, they could instantly regenerate, even if they were crushed or turned to ash.
This kind of attrition-based fighting style was also a common approach among the kings of the sea.
For instance, Straw Hat relied on sit-ups, while Sagel's strength lay in his seemingly infinite Haki recovery. Now, he had five additional immortal opponents.
If it came down to a battle of attrition, Sagel knew he would not be able to outlast them.
No matter how strong his Haki recovery was, his stamina would eventually deplete. In contrast, Sagel could not discern any limits to these five individuals; aside from their pained expressions, there was no sign of fatigue.
"It's indeed very painful."
Nas Shurou furrowed his brows and clenched his teeth, "Satan, is this his unique Haki? It's an extraordinary power, is it due to his bloodline?"
"Still researching," Satan replied.
"However, this pain remains as clear as ever, so clear that it brings back memories of the past."
"It's been a long time since I've endured such pain."
Marz, in the form of Izanagi Heaven, spoke up, "In that instant of attack, not only was my entire body shattered, but even after regenerating, the pain lingered, tormenting every cell. It's not just the power of Haki; his physical arts are also unique, akin to qigong, but more refined. If one could master it..."
"It's a bit challenging."
"Marz glanced at Straw Hat, who was already playing with Bonnie on the ground, and a glint of light flashed in her bird-like eyes. 'His stamina is severely depleted. It seems he can't hold out for long. No need to worry about him; we should focus on dealing with Sagel. Let's keep him occupied.'"
The group fell silent, their minds connected through telepathy, strategizing without the need for eye contact.
"Hmm? What mischief are you plotting?"
Sagel couldn't hear them, but his keen senses picked up on their malicious intent.
He grinned menacingly, "If it were before, you'd be excellent training partners! But now, I've lost interest in you."
Together, the five of them had the strength to challenge Sagel, but if they fought with all their might, Sagel was skilled in defeating them one by one, and seeing their combined power wouldn't give him much of an advantage.
After all, their combined might wasn't enough to overpower him.
This time, he was determined to defeat them all!
"Hades' Eight Phantoms!"
Nas Shurou suddenly plunged the First Generation Onimaru into the ground, and ice crystals grew rapidly along the cracks, carrying a chill that withered the plants and trees outside the city.
It was the same power trait as the Straw Hat Pirates' skeleton head.
Peter, in the form of a giant sandworm, drilled into the ground, causing the area beneath the ice crystals to turn into quicksand, quickly spreading to half of the island.
As the legendary desert sandworm churned in the desert, the quicksand and ice crystals stirred up sand fog, enveloping the sky and obscuring everything around them.
"Rage!"
Marz, in the form of Izanagi Heaven, flew higher into the sky, and her flaming wings wove a red net in the air. As she breathed fire, the net solidified and covered the visible sky, spreading downward.
Worley's four hooves shook, and his four tusk-blades shattered into sharp fragments, floating as suspended blades amidst the fog. Satan glared, and a malevolent light flashed in his eyes as he spewed poison blood from his spider legs, mixing with the flames and ice crystals in the sand fog.
The scorching heat of the flames, the freezing chill, the sharpness and hardness of the blades, the deadly poison, and the oppressive force all combined within the sand fog, eroding towards Sagel.
Additionally, they could feel the numbing sensation of lightning, brought about by the sandworm.
There was also a faint sense of unease, stirring restlessness in their hearts, and even a curse that affected the quality of their Haki.
It was the doing of Izanagi Heaven.
The silence of Hades, the disasters brought by the beast, the constraints created by the ogre, all manifested within the fog.
The island slowly transformed into a land of death.
The Five Elders had the power to destroy islands, but they were even more adept at targeting life force.
Instead of directly obliterating the island, they would wear down everything on it, turning it into a lifeless wasteland, a more terrifying fate than mere destruction.
The Five Elders excelled in such tactics.
Centuries ago, when the world was less stable, they had done the same.
It had been a while since they last descended to the mortal realm, but that didn't mean they never did. They still came down to handle matters the Navy couldn't.
Pirates like Sagel were nothing new; before him, there was Roger, and before that, Rocks, and even further back, countless others. The Navy had been unable to deal with them, but the Five Elders had.
Of course, there were also replacements.
The Five Elders were replaced when they failed too badly and angered Imu-sama, who would then forcefully remove them from their positions, allowing others to take their place.
This wasn't the first time such an event had occurred; they weren't the original Five Elders. In the distant past, there were others before them.
Peter's position, for example, was once held by someone else. It was only after an incident that enraged Imu-sama that Peter took over.
They were the guardians of the world's stability and balance, the strongest and most formidable force.
Whether it was Sagel or anyone else, they were never afraid and never held back, mostly out of self-interest.
But now, it was time to show this self-proclaimed strongest pirate on the high seas the true depth of the Five Elders' power!
Battles were their forte, and they had many tricks up their sleeves.
What could Sagel do in the short term? If they managed to trap him, they could fight for months, and they would kill him!
However, there was an urgent matter at hand, so a quick battle was also an option.
"Ability user, enter the sea!"
