Chapter 61: Wizard vs. Abomination Part 2
Chapter 61: Wizard vs. Abomination Part 2
...
To be honest, this kind of intense, thrilling battle was a first for him. In the past, he dealt with ordinary cases like robberies, thefts, and assaults.
Even though the opponents had handguns and rifles, they were just regular people. He could simply toss a Magic spell while passing by on his flying broom, and that would be the end of it.
But facing the Abomination, any mistake just now would have resulted in him being smashed into a pulp by its overwhelming power.
However, for the sake of Little Red Stars, sometimes taking a risk was worth it.
Jerry rode his flying broom, looking down at the Abomination from above, and slowly extended his left hand.
Thinking Jerry was about to cast another spell, the Abomination quickly tightened its grip on the military jeep, using it to shield most of its body.
"Idiot, come over here!"
Jerry extended his index finger, slightly bending it, and loudly taunted the Abomination below.
Damn, how could the Abomination endure this? Its eyes turned red with fury, and with a powerful thrust of its legs, it launched itself, along with the two cars, toward Jerry.
"Hehehe, can't touch me, can't touch me! I fly over, then I fly away. Idiot, big idiot!"
Jerry clung tightly to his flying broom, no longer using Magic attacks. Instead, he kept dodging the Abomination's strikes with agile movements, all while continuing to taunt it relentlessly, driving the Abomination to the brink of insanity.
It had already been beaten up by Hulk twice. Finally, it gained immense strength from the Gene Serum, becoming almost as powerful as Hulk.
But it never imagined that just as it made its grand entrance, it would run into such a frustrating opponent, making it feel utterly humiliated.
"Damn you, get down here!"
"Come over here!"
"Get down!"
"Come over here!"
"..."
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The enraged Abomination slammed its fists into the ground, venting its anger.
The powerful blows created cracks all over the ground, making Jerry grimace from above.
Since Jerry appeared, the Abomination had been taking a beating, though it wasn't injured. The constant taunting was driving it mad.
Finally, it thought it had found a way to counter Jerry, but then Jerry started acting like a cheater, refusing to come down from the air.
This was even more frustrating than being insulted online and then being blocked without a chance to respond.
Seeing that Jerry wouldn't come down, the Abomination forced itself to calm down. It then decided to ignore Jerry's taunts and instead pursued Hass and the other civilians who were trying to evacuate.
Clearly, it had realized that Jerry was stalling to protect the civilians. If it went after them, Jerry would have no choice but to come down and stop it, giving it a chance to crush this little pest.
"Damn it!"
Jerry knew things were getting bad and had no choice but to speed up on his flying broom and chase after the Abomination.
He could ignore the others' fate, losing out on some Little Red Stars at most, but Hass was among the civilians, and Jerry couldn't let him down.
If necessary, he would have to save Hass first.
At that moment, a military helicopter flew in from the distance, and a figure leaped out, crashing into the street between the Abomination and the evacuating civilians.
Ten minutes earlier.
General Ross was personally escorting Dr. Banner and his daughter, Dr. Betty, to a secret military base in the Usa via an armed helicopter.
The communicator on the helicopter suddenly received an urgent notification and quickly turned to hand the radio to General Ross.
"General, there's an emergency. You need to take this!"
General Ross took the radio with a puzzled look, and immediately, the voice of panicking soldiers came through:
"Hulk is on the streets, I repeat, Hulk is on the streets!"
"What?"
General Ross immediately turned to look at Dr. Banner, who was being restrained. Seeing that he was still in place, he let out a slight sigh of relief and tried to calm the soldier:
"That's impossible. Soldier, calm down. Tell me your location!"
"General, we're on 121st Street, heading north along Broadway!"
As the soldier replied, the sounds of other soldiers shouting, civilians screaming, and explosions all came through the radio.
Realizing something was wrong, General Ross first ordered the helicopter to turn around and head to 121st Street, then shouted into the radio:
"Quick, send us a live feed of the situation!"
"Yes, General!"
As General Ross put down the radio, a small TV in the helicopter cabin suddenly turned on, showing a shaky live video feed.
In the footage, the Abomination was rampaging through the streets, completely impervious to the army's gunfire.
The casualties among soldiers and civilians were mounting with each roar from the Abomination, turning the scene into a living hell.
The soldier who had just reported to the camera was now grabbing a rocket launcher from a nearby box. He aimed it at the rampaging Abomination and fired, but the rocket was caught and crushed by the Abomination, who remained unharmed.
"Your experiment?"
Dr. Banner asked General Ross, his voice tinged with anger.
Beside him, Dr. Betty looked at her father with a disbelieving expression:
"Oh, God, what have you done?"
Faced with their accusations, General Ross looked bewildered.
While his goal was to use Dr. Banner to create a group of controllable super-soldiers, this hadn't even started yet. He had just captured Dr. Banner and was still figuring out how to proceed with the experiment if Dr. Banner returned to his normal state and his blood normalized. Now, this unexpected situation had arisen.
Worse still, the Abomination was causing chaos in the city center, and as a general, he would bear significant responsibility for the aftermath.
"Look, what's that?"
At that moment, Dr. Betty pointed to the small TV in surprise.
It turned out that as the Abomination was charging towards the soldier who had fired the rocket, a child wearing a wizard's outfit and riding a broom appeared behind the Abomination.
The child waved a small wand, firing beams of light at the Abomination, which made it roar in pain. The Abomination quickly became distracted, temporarily alleviating the crisis.
This child was none other than Jerry, who had come to the scene after saving Hass.
General Ross and Dr. Banner looked at Jerry on the TV, their faces filled with confusion. Clearly, they did not recognize this broom-riding child.
