Chapter 61 - A Few Words Before Publication
Chapter 61 - A Few Words Before Publication
Today, I received a notification from my editor, informing me that my book will be published at midnight tonight.
The reason, she explained, was that the book's reader retention rate might not be sufficient to compete for the next round of recommendations, and so it was decided to publish now.
I have to admit that this news took me by surprise.
I always thought that a word count of 200,000 characters was the threshold for publication. That's the trend I noticed with many similar fantasy novels.
However, if my editor thinks it's the right time, then she must have her reasons. So, here we are.
I'd like to officially announce that this book will be published at midnight tonight. If you've enjoyed reading it so far, please consider subscribing.
Now that we've discussed the publication, let's talk a bit more about the book itself.
First of all, as you may have noticed from the prominent "Daily Life" tag, my intention from the start was to focus on the characters' everyday lives and routines.
However, I've noticed that many readers seem less interested in the day-to-day details, so I plan to accelerate the plot and have the protagonist venture into the outside world sooner rather than later.
Secondly, let's address the cultivation system.
I want to clarify that the cultivation system in this book does not follow the typical pattern of qi refinement and foundation building seen in traditional fantasy novels.
The innate realm, which the protagonist has already reached, is considered a relatively powerful stage.
Rest assured, there won't be any weak opponents that our protagonist, as a practitioner of the innate realm, won't be able to defeat.
Thirdly, regarding updates: I plan to release three chapters at midnight tonight.
As for tomorrow, we'll see how much I can write, but I can assure you that the total word count for the publication day will exceed 10,000 characters.
After that, I'll maintain a minimum of two updates with the occasional bonus chapter.
Well, I don't want to ramble on for too long, so let me conclude with this:
Happy New Year, and I hope you enjoy the holidays!
