Chapter 609: Occupying the Toilet
Chapter 609: Occupying the Toilet
Zhao Cheng Lei stood right in front of him, blocking his view. "What's up?"
The bald man looked at Zhao Cheng Lei and realized that the other guy was even taller than him.
He chuckled, "Bro, is this factory yours?"
"Yep."
"Is the land next to the factory also yours?"
"Sure is."
"Your factory is almost done, right? You don't need the rest of the land, do you? How about transferring it to me? We can negotiate the price!"
He had been waiting for the landowner for a long time.
He was helping a big boss from Hong Kong find a plot to build an electronics factory.
But all the land in this area already had owners.
He had found out that this several-acre plot was not planned for immediate development, according to the factory workers.
Other plots were either under construction or about to be built on.
Even if they weren't ready yet, most of the landowners were big foreign investors or joint ventures, with strong financial backing and government support. It would be impossible to get the land from them.
Only this plot was privately owned by an individual, making it easier to deal with.
His boss had already consulted a feng shui master from Hong Kong, who said this plot had the best feng shui in the area!
The big boss believed in these mystical things and wanted him to do his best to get the land, even if it meant paying a higher price.
Of course, he couldn't tell the other party that. He still wanted to make a profit.
A little money slipping through the boss's fingers would be enough to keep him comfortable for life.
Zhao Cheng Lei replied coolly, "No deal, we still need it."
"But your factory is almost finished, right? I see you've started building the walls. Your workers said it's almost done. My boss is very wealthy and can negotiate the price. He won't let you down."
"Even if you offer more, it's still a no."
"What do you need it for?"
Zhao Cheng Lei didn't bother to explain further to a stranger.
After that, he pulled Jiang Xia into the jeep and drove away.
When Zhao Cheng Lei and Jiang Xia bought the land, they had already decided that the food processing plant would only use ten acres, leaving ten acres for future expansion. The remaining thirty acres would be used to build another factory, which they could either run themselves or rent out for income.
Besides, they weren't sure if the garment factory Zhang Rong mentioned would be a good fit. If not, Zhao Cheng Lei planned to build a garment factory on this land.
Having both factories close together would make it easier for Jiang Xia to manage.
The bald man spat as he watched the jeep drive away.
"Spit, what's the point of keeping it? Do you plan to build another factory? Do you even have that kind of money? If you had that much money, why not build a bigger factory in one go?"
Driving a jeep doesn't make you special.
He had never seen a real luxury car!
The bald man looked at the land beside him, thought for a moment, and decided to have the big boss talk to the relevant authorities.
Occupying the toilet without using it! What's the point?!
He probably wants more money.
The bald man rode his motorcycle away.
Zhao Cheng Lei drove around the area with Jiang Xia.
This area was planned as an industrial zone and would become a famous one in the future.
Most of the nearby land already had owners, and development was everywhere. The dirt roads were filled with construction vehicles and workers.
Dust flew everywhere, and the scene was bustling with a sense of new beginnings and hope.
Fortunately, they had bought a large plot of land. There was no more land available now.
Jiang Xia saw several factories under construction, many of which were being built by the construction company they had invested in.
Jiang Xia: "We really made the right choice with those shares."
Zhao Cheng Lei nodded as he drove.
By the time they got home, it was already half past ten, and the children were still awake.
Jiang Xia washed her hands and face, changed into a fresh set of clothes, and came out to find them already awake.
She held each of them for a while, chatting and soothing them.
The three kids were hungry, snuggling up to her and babbling away.
By the time Zhao Cheng Lei had prepared the formula and fed the children, Jiang Dong and Zhang Fuyan had arrived.
Accompanying them were Zhang Fuyan’s cousin Ou Minling and Ruan Tang.
Ou Minling was Zhang Fuyan’s cousin and Editor Fan’s daughter.
Ou Minling had originally planned to go shopping with Ruan Tang today, as they were close friends.
However, when she learned that Zhang Fuyan was going to the beach to collect seafood, she also wanted to join in and asked Ruan Tang.
Ruan Tang had been living there for a few years but had never gone to the beach to collect seafood. Shopping could be done anytime, but beach activities were seasonal, so the two of them decided to come along with Zhang Fuyan.
Jiang Dong took the initiative to introduce everyone.
The main introductions were for Zhang Fuyan’s cousin, as Ruan Tang and Jiang Xia were already acquainted.
At that moment, Zhou Ying and Zhou Zhou ran back, shouting, “Uncle, Dad says the tide is receding! We can prepare to go to the beach!”
Zhou Chengsen and Zhou Chengxin had gone to the oyster farm early in the morning to work.
The children had followed them to play on the nearby beach.
As soon as Zhou Ying entered the house, she saw Ruan Tang and exclaimed, “Doctor Sister, what are you doing here?”
Ruan Tang smiled, “I came to play with you! Can you take me to the beach?”
Zhou Ying immediately replied, “Sure! You can follow me!”
Ruan Tang patted her head, “Thank you, Yingying.”
Zhou Ying said, “Doctor Sister, I’ll teach you how to recognize snail eyes. If you can’t recognize snail eyes, you won’t find anything on the beach!”
Ruan Tang was surprised, “Really? Then you must teach me! It’s my first time, and I don’t know anything.”
“I’ll teach you!”
Zhang Fuyan smiled, “I don’t know how to do it either. Who will teach me?”
Zhou Zhou said, “I can, Sister. I’ll teach you. I’m really good at recognizing snail eyes, and I know where to find mantis shrimp, mudskippers, and crabs.”
Zhang Fuyan laughed, “Zhou Zhou, you’re so capable?”
Zhou Zhou blushed, “Not really, everyone in our village knows how to do it.”
Everyone laughed.
Jiang Xia smiled, “Then let’s head out and teach the three sisters how to catch crabs!”
During a major tide, the water recedes faster than usual, and it was about the right time to go.
“Let’s take the tractor!” Zhao Cheng Lei suggested, seeing the large group. He thought Zhang Fuyan and the others weren’t used to beach activities and might get tired, so he wanted to make it easier for them.
Zhao Cheng Lei gathered some beach tools, loaded them onto the tractor, and drove them all to the beach.
Ou Minling was excited, “This is my first time riding a tractor.”
Ruan Tang put her arm around Zhou Ying’s shoulders to protect her, smiling, “Me too.”
Zhou Ying and Ruan Tang sat next to each other, asking, “Is riding a tractor fun? I love it the most.”
Zhou Zhou, who was by Jiang Xia’s side, said, “I love it too.”
They quickly arrived at the beach. Jiang Xia took a look, “The water hasn’t fully receded yet, but it’s good enough.”
When Zhao Cheng Lei parked the tractor, everyone grabbed buckets, nets, shovels, and tongs and headed straight for the beach.
Zhou Chengsen saw them and brought the boat closer, waving to them and gesturing for them to board, “Let’s go to the beach by the mangrove forest!”
