Chapter 609: Deviated Art
Chapter 609: Deviated Art
The suppressed Essence, which had been restrained until this moment, suddenly erupted.
Lin Sai witnessed the transformation of a once composed man, his expression shifting from calm to uncontrollable rage.
Standing on the stone platform, the man's face had just held a look of disdain.
But upon hearing the words 'Extinction Crown' and Lin Sai's subsequent taunt, his composure vanished, replaced by an intense fury.
"You insolent brat, who do you think you are?" he shouted.
"To spout such nonsense in our presence!"
As he spoke, the right arm of the Deviator glowed with an evil, putrid green light.
His entire arm seemed to swell and expand, as if exposed to gamma rays, and he swung it towards Lin Sai like a stone pillar.
To the naked eye, the force of this punch seemed unstoppable, capable of shattering a person into pieces with sheer power.
However, through Lin Sai's reconnaissance vision, he noticed minuscule, almost invisible powdery substances dispersing in the air from the attacker's arm.
"Corrupting Venom?" Lin Sai realized.
He understood that the punch was just a distraction, and the real threat lay in those powders.
Even though his words had provoked the Deviator, this battle-hardened opponent still employed practical tactics, combining real and feigned attacks.
"Me, spouting nonsense?" Lin Sai scoffed.
He neither dodged nor evaded, instead charging directly into the opponent's punch.
But the Law of Ice in his hand summoned a swirling inferno, instantly incinerating the hidden powders in the air.
The flames from the Law Knight's weapon completely burned away the concealed threat.
"The weapon of a Law Knight?" The Deviator asked, his voice filled with suspicion.
"Your strength surpasses that of a Law Knight, yet you wield their weapon?"
The Deviator on the stone platform took a step back, his eyes narrowing with caution as he examined Lin Sai. The severed arm began to regenerate, the flesh and even the bones rapidly healing.
"Didn't you just accuse me of spouting nonsense?" Lin Sai remained unmoved by the Deviator's rapid healing. He took two steps clockwise, facing his opponent, "Why don't you guess where I'm from?"
The Invader glared at Lin Sai, intending to rebuke him, "You little brat from the City of Laws, don't think I don't recognize your background..."
Lin Sai interrupted, "Unfortunately, you've guessed wrong."
"I'm from the Hidden Frontier, or according to your terminology, I'm from the Elemental Realm."
"You should be familiar with that name, shouldn't you?"
This response caused the Deviator's expression to darken further.
Others might not know, but as an ancient person resurrected in this era, he was well-informed.
He was aware that within the Abyss faction, the leader of the Extinction sub-system had led his forces to battle in the direction of the Elemental Realm.
According to the information from various battlefields, the final confrontation with the Extinction Crown was indeed with the legendary ruler of the City of Laws.
Even now, as they lurked here, they intended to avenge the grudge left over from ancient times!
The Deviator's gaze dared not stray from Lindsey for a second:
"You don't have the power of the Righteous."
Lindsey's expression remained calm:
"It doesn't matter. You can witness my other skills."
As Lindsey spoke, the Law of Ice in his hand instantly transformed into a bow and arrow at a speed that the Deviator couldn't comprehend.
Then he only heard a loud, wind-like explosion.
Boom—
The two were only a few meters apart, and at such close range, by the time the Deviator reacted, the arrow had already pierced his chest.
"Ah—"
In an instant.
The Deviator felt unbearable pain coming from the place where the arrow had struck.
At the same time, his body felt heavy.
With this arrow, Lindsey not only chose the highly painful Poison Thorn Arrow, but he had also equipped and activated the Annihilation Blade in his inventory.
At this very moment, traces of despair were already etched upon the Deviator's soul.
All of his attributes were declining!
"This arrow..."
"No, this isn't the power of the arrow. What is this thing that's affecting my body? My soul!"
Before the Deviator could finish speaking, Lindsey spoke again:
"Look at you, neither human nor ghost."
"My suggestion is—don't worry about your body or soul, just sleep well, that kind of eternal slumber. It's the best outcome for both you and this world!"
Lindsey mocked him while pressing his advantage.
He stepped back, distancing himself from his opponent, and the Building Hand simultaneously erected a sturdy defense in front of him, forming an impenetrable barrier.
Boom—
The next second, an explosion sounded.
Standing within the solid defense, Lindsey could still feel the tremors beneath his feet.
He glanced at the map:
"Still not dead?"
Without waiting for the explosion's aftermath to dissipate, Lindsey quickly dismantled the defensive structure, and his weapon transformed back into a bow and arrow.
At this moment, chaos surrounded Lindsey.
In the pitch-black cave, water, rocks, and dirt flew everywhere due to the explosion, and dust continued to fall from above, as if the entire underground tunnel was about to be buried instantly.
Yet, Lindsey remained unmoved.
He silently switched to the Puzzle Game and FPS modules.
The latter provided an aiming point.
In this chaotic scene, he aimed at a staggering, human-like figure fleeing to the side.
