Chapter 604: Harry's Decision
Chapter 604: Harry's Decision
In the evening at Hogsmeade, raucous laughter echoed from The Pig's Head Pub, carrying a tone of malicious glee.
Albus Dumbledore then emerged from the pub, his face contorted with a look akin to having consumed expired butterbeer.
"Kyle, is this really necessary?"
He hesitated, glancing at Kyle beside him, "In fact, Voldemort needs time to recuperate, and we don't have to rush to resolve the issue with the Ministry of Magic."
"I believe that during this period, you can definitely come up with a more suitable plan."
"Thank you for your praise, Professor," Kyle replied calmly, "Indeed, I have a backup plan right now."
"Let's hear it," Dumbledore's eyes lit up.
"What if the Dementors suddenly rioted and raided the Ministry of Magic?" Kyle said earnestly. "Then, one or two of them happen to break into the Minister's office and have a friendly chat with the Minister.
This way, not only do we solve the problem of certain people holding us back, but we also raise everyone's awareness of Dementors, killing two birds with one stone."
Dumbledore turned his head and remained silent for a long time before speaking with a complex expression, "The Dementors won't riot, at least not now."
"I didn't say they would definitely riot," Kyle shrugged, "I'm just presenting a possibility."
Dumbledore didn't speak, and they continued walking forward until they reached the entrance of Zonko's Joke Shop. He finally spoke again, his voice sounding a bit hoarse, "Creating a deception, I understand... But I've never done anything like this before, and I can't guarantee Fudge will believe it..."
"Don't worry, Professor," Kyle laughed, "It's not difficult. You just need to occasionally interact with some of the department heads, like Amelia Bones from the Law Enforcement Department or Mr. Bartemius Crouch...
Given Fudge's character, he definitely won't be indifferent."
Dumbledore opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, he silently shook his head.
He felt a bit regretful. If he had known earlier, at the top of the mountain, he should have let go and taken the opportunity to kill Voldemort once again, no matter the cost.
The two continued walking forward, and as Kyle was deep in thought, he suddenly felt his arm being grabbed.
In a dizzying spin, he found himself transported to Number 12 Grimmauld Place.
Mrs. Weasley was startled by the sudden appearance of the two, almost dropping the plate she was holding.
But she quickly regained her composure.
Only Dumbledore could Apparate from the outside into a house protected by the Fidelius Charm.
Of course, Fred and George didn't count, as they always Apparated from inside the house and never from the outside.
"You..."
Before she could finish her sentence, there was another crisp sound.
After sending Kyle back, Dumbledore didn't even wait for a second and left again.
"What's wrong with Dumbledore?" Mrs. Weasley asked in confusion, "I feel like his face looks a bit off."
"He's probably hungry," Kyle replied, "After all, he hasn't eaten much all day."
"Oh, Merlin's beard, you've been busy all day?" Mrs. Weasley quickly pulled Kyle into the kitchen, muttering, "Dumbledore really should have stayed for dinner before leaving."
"Maybe he has other matters to attend to," Kyle said casually.
"You still need to eat," Mrs. Weasley said, "Wait a moment, dinner will be ready soon."
Kyle nodded.
To be honest, he was a bit hungry too.
Although The Pig's Head Pub provided a relatively clean lunch, the taste was not very good, and the potatoes were still hard and uncooked.
At this time, there weren't many people in the kitchen, but everyone gradually entered a few minutes later.
"Kyle... When did you get back?" Ron couldn't help but ask, "Where did you go today?"
"Hogsmeade," Kyle replied.
"What did you go there for?" Ron wanted to ask further, but Mr. Weasley interrupted him.
"That's enough, Ron," he came from behind, "Dumbledore must have instructed him not to talk about it, so don't ask too many questions."
"Okay," Ron grumbled.
Ten minutes later, Mrs. Weasley brought out a whole roast chicken and fried fish.
But there weren't many people having dinner here tonight, only Tonks and Moody. Tonks looked listless, her hair color turning as yellow and dry as straw.
Because of her Auror duties over the past few days, she had gone without sleep for two days, and today was her turn to stand watch, so her mood was understandably not the best.
Lupin noticed this and said, "Tonks, you should go to dinner and then get some rest. I can take over for you tonight."
"Really?" Tonks' hair quickly turned a bright red, but then she thought of something, "But, didn't you stand watch last night? Are you sure you can manage two nights in a row?"
"I'll be fine," Lupin said, "I can rest a bit during the day as well."
"Thank you." Tonks yawned, "I've been exhausted these past few days."
"No problem," Lupin said.

In the following days, Kyle continued as usual, spending his time in the library.
The day before school started.
"Are you leaving?"
In the kitchen, Mrs. Weasley couldn't help but ask, "Did Dumbledore ask you to come back for something?"
The others also looked over subconsciously.
"No," Kyle shook his head, "I haven't seen him recently."
"Can't you stay for one more day?" Mrs. Weasley said, "Wait until tomorrow morning, and Sirius can take you and the others to King's Cross Station."

"I have to go back," Kyle said, "I came here from the Ministry of Magic, and my homework and books for the holidays are still at home. School starts tomorrow, so I need to go back and get them."
Hearing Kyle's words, Mrs. Weasley understood. If it's homework and textbooks, they should indeed be taken back to school.
So, after breakfast, Mrs. Weasley took Kyle to a street in front of Grimmauld Place.
Mr. Weasley was already waiting there with the car.
"Get in," he said, "I'll drive you back to the village."
"It's okay, Mr. Weasley," Kyle said, "I can go back by myself."
"That's not possible," Mrs. Weasley, who was standing next to him, shook her head, "The distance from Grimmauld Place to Ottery St. Catchpole is not short. Moreover, it's a special time now, and we don't know where the Death Eaters are hiding. What if you encounter an attack on the way?"
"They won't have the chance," Kyle said with a smile as he opened the car door and got in, "By the way, remember to keep it a secret for me."
With a crisp sound, Kyle, using the cover of the car, instantly disappeared from the spot.
This scene was witnessed by the others in the house.
For safety reasons, Mrs. Weasley didn't let everyone go out, so they could only watch through the window.
Coincidentally, from their position, they could see what was happening in the car.
"Apparition?" Ron couldn't help but ask, "Isn't Kyle just starting his sixth year? How does he know this already?"
"Only you think he doesn't," Hermione said bluntly.
Harry nodded in agreement, "I'm sure he must have learned this spell a long time ago."
"At least a year ago," Sirius added, "Last year at this time, I saw him use it, and he was very skilled."
"Last year," Ron said, "That was when he was just a fifth-year..."
"Yes," Sirius said, "At the same age as you, he was already proficient in using Apparition."
Perhaps feeling that this statement might be a blow to the Harry trio, he quickly added, "Of course, among your peers, you are also quite capable."
"No wonder Professor Dumbledore only took him to Hogsmeade," Harry said softly.
Then he turned and asked, "Sirius, can you teach us Apparition?"
Ron and Hermione also looked at him eagerly, their eyes full of hope.
"Can you? We want to learn too."
"Learning Apparition is dangerous," Sirius said, "According to the rules, it's not allowed to learn Apparition before the sixth year."
"Please," Harry pleaded, his eyes fixed on him.
"Don't look at me like that..." Sirius hesitated for a moment, but eventually gave in, "Oh, alright, I'll agree, but remember, don't tell anyone, especially Remus."
"We promise!" they said in unison.
"When do you plan to teach us?" Harry asked.
"There's no time now," Sirius thought for a moment, "Let's wait until school starts, on the weekends, or during the Christmas holidays."
"No problem."
