Chapter 603: Onion, I Added Onion
Chapter 603: Onion, I Added Onion
Battling Adek?
"It doesn't seem appropriate," Jinghe said.
Regardless, even though Adek's strongest ace had passed away, he was still a genuine Champion.
It was common knowledge that many trainers in the Pokemon world, even with the same Pokemon, would not limit themselves to just one.
Take Ado's Rapid Dragon, for example.
Adek also still had signature aces like Fire Moth, and his strength was only weaker than his peak, not weaker overall.
"Just an exhibition match," Adek said with a smile.
It was evident that he was quite tempted by the proposal.
"Who was Mr. Adek originally scheduled to have an exhibition match with?" Jinghe asked.
"I think it was Shaka's grandson?" Adek turned to Teacher Bai Leiya.
Bai Leiya nodded, "Yes, Du Ruo is a first-year student at Blueberry Academy, but he is exceptionally talented and has already become the president of the League Society and the Blueberry League Champion, representing the students."
Du Ruo?
Jinghe had a vague impression of Shaka's grandson.
He was strong in the game, and if not for Wu Li's significant improvement in strength after returning from the North Mountain Summer Camp, replacing Du Ruo as the champion, he could have remained champion for four consecutive years.
".So, it doesn't seem right?" Jinghe added.
After all, the original plan was for Adek to have an exhibition match with Du Ruo.
As the so-called Blueberry League Champion, it didn't seem quite appropriate for Jinghe to replace Du Ruo and battle Adek.
After all, as students, how many opportunities would they have to battle a Champion?
"So, Jinghe, you're worried about this?" Adek smiled and waved his hand, "It's fine, I can fight two matches."
After a pause, he continued,
"Or... we could both fight two matches? I heard that many students at Blueberry Academy admire you, and I believe they would also welcome such an opening."
Jinghe: "???"
How did one match become two?
"I think Champion Adek's proposal is excellent," Teacher Bai Leiya said.
Wan Long: "I think so too."
Jinghe: "."
Of course, you'd think so since you're not the ones fighting.
"Ahem." Jinghe coughed, placing a fist beside his mouth, "If it's two matches, then... umm."
As the teacher and person in charge of the intra-school competition, Bai Leiya had keen insight and seemed to understand Jinghe's intention. She immediately said,
"Of course, Teacher Jinghe's 'teaching fee' won't be small."
Adek and Wan Long understood.
Indeed.
As a teacher at the Kanazawa Pokemon Academy, it was reasonable for Jinghe to receive some compensation for coming to Blueberry Academy for an exhibition match.
Jinghe waved his hand, "Hey, talking about money hurts feelings."
"Hmm?"
"I mean... will two matches be enough?"
After that, Bai Leiya began preparing for the start of the intra-school competition.
Meanwhile, Adek continued to immerse himself in learning Blueberry Academy's teaching methods.
Jinghe took the little ones to Blueberry Academy's Eco Dome to experience Blueberry Academy's "specialty."
Eco Dome, Grassland Zone.
Despite being called the Grassland Zone, it wasn't entirely endless grasslands; it also featured artificial natural landscapes like swamps and rocky mountains.
As the gentle breeze blew, the lush grass, barely reaching their ankles, rustled with a "shh" sound, creating wave after wave of green ripples in the breeze.
Taking a deep breath, the scent of grass mingled with a hint of moist soil filled the air, causing one to instinctively open their pores.
"This Eco Dome's simulation is quite impressive."
Jinghe found a relatively dry patch of grass and sat down, releasing the little ones from their Poke Balls.
"Beautiful, Lotom~"
Lotom instantly transformed into a photography enthusiast, capturing the scene before him with a series of clicks.
"Yoji~~"
"Nehmi~~"
Youjilasa and Bikkitini locked eyes, both targeting a fruit tree laden with ripe fruits not far away.
The plump Pecha Berries couldn't be entirely hidden by the broad leaves, and Youjilasa, standing beneath the tree, attempted to shake the fruits loose with his seemingly small hands.
Fortunately, Bikkitini was quicker, flying up to grab a fruit almost its size and easily plucking it with a gentle tug.
Each of the little ones took a fruit and sat under the tree, devouring it with big bites, even burying their heads inside the Pecha Berries.
"Nehmi~~(^^)"
So delicious~~
"Unga?"
Genggui also floated over to the tree, but instead of immediately going for the fruits, it parted the leaves and spotted a Clampearl hiding within.
This was a Pokemon Genggui had never seen before, so it flashed what it believed to be a friendly smile and waved a greeting.
"Unga~(`Д)"
Clampearl: Σ(дlll)
The little Clampearl immediately fell from the tree, landing in front of Youjilasa and Bikkitini.
The two little ones simultaneously emerged from the peach fruit, their heads covered in the red juice, and looked at the Tujuzhu with curiosity. Tujuzhu shuddered, its eyes rolled back, and it fainted in fear.
At that moment, Yuki and Victini had their faces smeared with the red juice from the peach fruit, giving them a bloodthirsty appearance.
"Yo-ki?"
Yuki gently pushed Tujuzhu, finding it unresponsive but still breathing. He waved his hand at Victini.
It's alive, still breathing.
"Tujuzhu, the String Shot Pokemon, Bug-type. Its silk threads are said to rival metal in strength, and researchers are still studying the secret to its power. Those threads can even deflect Scyther's scythes!"
Lotom, amidst filming, took a moment to showcase his primary job.
"It seems the Eco-Dome at Blueberry Academy indeed has Pokemon from the Paradi Region."
Jinghe, witnessing this, silently nodded in agreement.
Even now, the reason why the Eco-Dome at Blueberry Academy could charge the Dynamax Crystal remained a mystery.
As Jinghe reached for the crystal to examine it, he heard a voice from behind.
"Stop!"
A red-haired teenager, dressed in a chef's uniform and holding a frying pan, rushed over. He appeared to be around fourteen or fifteen years old.
"Don't you know these fruits were planted by someone else?" the teenager asked sternly.
Hmm? Planted by someone?
No wonder these fruits were so plump and hadn't been eaten by wild Pokemon.
The teenager's expression turned serious as he spoke again, "Moreover, eating these plump fruits without any processing is a waste of ingredients!"
He glanced at Jinghe and seemed to recognize him, but he didn't dwell on it. Upon seeing Gengue and the others, he shouted, "You're a Trainer too! Let's battle! If you win, I'll let the fruit-stealing go!"
As he spoke, he held up his frying pan, and a Poke Ball appeared in his hand.
"Thank you," Jinghe said, accepting the Poke Ball.
The teenager's words and actions reminded Jinghe of someone—Da Ye! Jinghe stood up, apologetically saying, "I'm sorry, young man. I didn't know these fruits were planted by someone. How about I compensate you?"
"Compensation?" The teenager was taken aback but soon nodded in agreement. "Compensation is fine, but I want to battle! I want to battle you!"
He's like a miniature version of Da Ye, Jinghe thought, slightly annoyed as he rubbed his temples.
Noticing the teenager's chef attire and frying pan, Jinghe's thoughts shifted.
"You're a chef?"
The teenager, upon hearing this, showed a hint of embarrassment and scratched the back of his head.
"Is it that obvious? Haha! Yes, I'm a chef! A real chef!"
How could it not be obvious with that white chef's uniform and frying pan?
"Then, let's have a cooking competition, shall we?" Jinghe suggested.
Cooking!
The teenager's eyes lit up at the idea.
But as he recalled the image of Yuki and Victini devouring the fruits, he looked doubtful.
"You can cook?"
Jinghe smiled slightly, "I know a little."
Energy Block Mammon? You must not have heard of it.
"Great!" The teenager seemed confident in his culinary skills and introduced himself, "I'm Akamatsu, from the Unova region's Flying Cloud City. I'll be a first-year student at Blueberry Academy in the second semester, and I'm currently working part-time in the cafeteria!"
Akamatsu?
Jinghe recognized the name and the teenager's identity.
During the Blueberry Academy storyline, Akamatsu, a first-year student, had already become one of the Four Elite of the Blueberry League, ranking fifth, with his home field being the Grassland Plaza.
He was a straightforward and outspoken individual.
Akamatsu was someone who did what he said and said what he thought.
"You're..." Akamatsu looked at Jinghe, feeling a sense of familiarity.
"Jinghe, it's nice to meet you, Akamatsu," Jinghe smiled.
"Teacher Jinghe?!" Akamatsu exclaimed in surprise.
In the Pokemon world, Jinghe and his Haunter are engaged in a battle with a mysterious trainer and their Pokemon, Larvitar. The intense battle showcases various moves, including Dragon Dance, Scale Shot, Shadow Ball, and more. Suddenly, Jinghe's phone rings, interrupting the battle. It's a call from Teacher Bai, inviting him to the Blueberry League's intra-school tournament as a special guest performer.
Jinghe agrees and hangs up, while his opponent, a young trainer named Akamatsu, expresses his disappointment at not getting a chance to battle Jinghe. Jinghe pats him on the shoulder, reassuring him that there will be opportunities in the future. As they make their way to the tournament, Akamatsu reveals his admiration for Jinghe's cooking skills and his desire to learn from him.
Upon arriving at the Blueberry Academy's arena, they find the entire student body gathered, with their Pokemon, for the event. Jinghe is escorted to the guest room, where he encounters Teacher Adek, who is brewing tea. Meanwhile, Haunter takes an interest in the tea and challenges Adek to a tea-brewing contest, resulting in a hilariously bitter brew.
Outside, Jinghe meets a seemingly laid-back first-year student named Du Ruo, who introduces himself as the president of the League Club and the current Blueberry League champion. Akamatsu, eager to impress, reveals that Du Ruo is actually a third-year repeater, surprising both Jinghe and Teacher Bai.
The scene is further enlivened by the arrival of Ziyu, a student who competed in the Young Master World Championship and is now at the tournament. Ziyu greets Jinghe warmly and teases Akamatsu, who blushes and becomes awkward. Haunter, sensing the romantic tension, chuckles and gives Akamatsu a knowing look.
