Chapter 600: The Weight of Las Noches!
Chapter 600: The Weight of Las Noches!
Tier Harribel looked indifferently at Barragan.
"Don't misunderstand," she said, her voice devoid of emotion. "I'm merely following my master, passing through this place."
Having received Feng Ye's power and transcended the Vasto Lorde, Harribel's spiritual pressure now surpassed that of Barragan. Naturally, she felt no oppression under his gaze.
Hearing Harribel's words, a faint light flickered in Barragan's skull-like eyes, and a hint of rage surfaced. "Master? You submit to another but not to me, Harribel?!"
His angry gaze swept over Starrk and the others before finally settling on Feng Ye, who led the group. "This spiritual pressure... it's not that of a Hollow. Are you a Shinigami or some other type of Hollow? No matter who you are, by coming here, you challenge me, the King of Las Noches!"
As Barragan spoke, all the nearby Hollows turned toward Feng Ye and his companions, suppressing and releasing their spiritual pressure simultaneously. It converged into a crushing force directed at Feng Ye and his group.
Barragan was the ruler of Las Noches!
Any who dared to challenge him would be reduced to bones before his throne!
"No," Feng Ye said, taking a step forward. He glanced at Barragan briefly before looking up at the sky and continuing, "I'm just passing through."
"Passing through?! How dare you say that?!" Barragan exclaimed, rising from his throne, his voice filled with anger. As his spiritual pressure surged, he prepared to make his move, but then he noticed a faint golden glow in Feng Ye's eyes, and a strange power silently emanated from the youth.
This power instantly reflected in the sky, connecting with something hidden and layered.
Looking up, one could see a flower blooming in the heavens. Its petals seemed to be composed of dozens of layers of space, each one a wrinkled dimension, piercing through to the very top.
Beyond this opened space was a strange aura, its spiritual density seemingly greater than that of the center of Las Noches, and it was mixed with various other peculiar powers.
"What is this?!" Barragan's anger was interrupted by confusion as he eyed the sky uncertainly.
Why was there such a thing above his palace? It was clearly a spatial passage leading to another region hidden within countless layers of space.
Feng Ye paid Barragan no heed. Calmly, he took a step forward and floated upward, heading toward the opened passage.
Barragan watched this, bewildered, before reacting. "Wait!" he shouted at Feng Ye's retreating back. "Where are you going? What's behind there?! Stay and..."
Boom!!!
Before Barragan could finish his sentence, an immense and terrifying aura bore down on him. He felt an intense pressure that he hadn't experienced since becoming a Vasto Lorde, as if he were facing a being of a higher order.
This aura didn't belong to Feng Ye but to a small figure with white hair and amber eyes who stood behind Feng Ye at the entrance of the spatial passage.
"!!!"
Barragan was shaken to his core, and he lowered his head to look at Lillith, a sense of disbelief washing over him.
Who was this little girl, and how could she possess such a terrifying aura?!
"Although Father doesn't want to bother with the insects at the door, we can't let them occupy the entrance forever. They need to be cleaned up," Lillith said calmly, her eyes fixed on Barragan. She gripped the hilt of her zanpakuto and slowly drew it out halfway.
Insects?
Barragan paused briefly before anger consumed him. He couldn't suppress his rage, not even in the face of Lillith's aura, which far surpassed his own.
"I am... the master of Las Noches, the King of the Hollows! How dare you call me an insect?!" Barragan exclaimed.
As he spoke, a dark aura spread from his body, reaching out in all directions. The ground beneath his feet began to corrode upon contact with this dark aura, and it quickly enveloped Lillith.
But...
In the next moment, Lillith swung her sword, her expression indifferent.
A blood-red light flashed, tearing through the sky and seemingly splitting the heavens and the earth in two, along with Barragan's released death energy.
Barragan's body froze, and his movement halted.
Crack!!!
A crisp sound rang out, and a diagonal crack appeared on the golden crown atop his head, extending down along with his skull.
"Heh..."
Barragan glared at Lillith, hissing in anger. He struggled to lift his hand, but ultimately, half of his skull slid off his head.
The golden crown also fell with the split skull, and Barragan's spiritual pressure and aura quickly weakened. The spreading dark aura dissipated just as swiftly.
"Your Majesty?!"
The nearby Hollows, who had been kneeling on the ground, looked on with disbelief. They struggled to accept what they had just witnessed.
The ruler of Las Noches and the master of Las Noches, the highest-level Hollow, Barragan Luisenbarn, had been defeated in a single blow!
"Wh... What are you?!" Barragan managed a weak final question before his body disintegrated into countless spirit particles and vanished into the void.
Even at the end, he couldn't comprehend what Feng Ye and Lillith were, nor could he understand why they could annihilate him, the King of the Hollows, as easily as squashing an ant.
"..."
Starrk watched Barragan's disappearance and gently closed his eyes.
To him, only a Vasto Lorde-level Hollow could be considered a comrade. Now, one had died before him, but the Hollow had provoked Feng Ye and was arrogant and proud, considering himself the King of the Hollows. His death was justified.
This gave a slight glimpse into Feng Ye's immense power, which truly transcended the world and resembled a primordial god of creation, an existence that life could not defy.
Swish! !
After Lilith killed Baraggan with a single sword strike, she sheathed her zanpakuto and took a step forward, following Feng Ye into the spatial passage.
Ulquiorra, Nel, and the others quickly followed, with Tier Harribel bringing up the rear as they embarked on the path to Las Noches.
From start to finish, Tier Harribel never looked back at the spot where Baraggan had vanished.
Left behind were only Baraggan's subordinates, who had been pressured to the ground by Lilith's released aura, unable to move and only feeling soul-deep fear.
They looked up at the sky, watching Feng Ye and the others disappear, their minds blank except for a single thought.
Those people...
What exactly are they?
...
Las Noches.
This place was not originally called by this name, but Feng Ye felt that since the Soul King later created a place called the Soul King Palace, this place should be called Las Noches. Anyone who knew about this space would likely give it the same name.
After all, the Hollow King and the Soul King had joined forces to create this world, and it was their mighty power that allowed life to take on a second form as souls.
Of course.
Although it was called Las Noches, the structure within this space was quite crude, at least compared to the Soul King Palace. There was only a vast expanse of land, a deep blue sky, and a single grandiose stone building.
In front of the stone building, the space resembled the Many Flowers Valley, with glass-like traces reflecting rainbow-like brilliant lights.
Feng Ye appeared there and stepped forward, approaching the massive stone structure. He stood calmly, his hands behind his back, gazing up at the towering building.
Swish! Swish!!!
Lilith's figure soon appeared from the spatial passage, materializing behind Feng Ye, followed by Starrk, Ulquiorra, and the others.
Just as Lilith and Starrk appeared, a figure slowly emerged from the darkness above the stone building.
He had white eyes, pink hair, and golden irises, with a slender and tall frame. A third eye grew on his forehead, and within it were rippling marks and six black magatama beads.
Ignoring the third eye on his forehead, it was quite easy to recognize his identity, as he was also one of the Arrancar's Espada, the only scientist among them.
The 80th Espada—
Szayelaporro Granz!
"I've been waiting for you for a long time."
"Your Majesty, the Hollow King."
Szayelaporro looked at Feng Ye and Lilith, a slightly bizarre smile on his face as he stood with his hands behind his back atop the palace.
Lilith looked at Szayelaporro indifferently, raising her zanpakuto and drawing out half of the blade.
"Ah ah, please don't do that, Lady Lilith."
Szayelaporro raised his head, holding up a finger and smiling gently. Along with his smile, an immense pressure from the entire space bore down on Lilith, causing her movements to slow and become difficult.
This oppressive force didn't just affect Lilith; it also encompassed Feng Ye, Starrk, Ulquiorra, and Nel.
Boom!!!
The weight of this pressure was unimaginable. Even Feng Ye swayed slightly, while Starrk and the others were immediately pressed to the ground, unable to remain standing.
This wasn't spiritual pressure but a spatial oppression, coming from all of Hueco Mundo!
"As expected of Your Majesty, the Hollow King. Even while bearing the weight of all of Hueco Mundo, you can still stand. Your mighty power is truly astonishing."
Witnessing this, Szayelaporro raised his hand and applauded gently.
Lilith's zanpakuto pressed against the ground, both hands gripping the hilt as she struggled to keep from being pushed down. She glared at Szayelaporro and asked, "What... did you do?!"
"I didn't do anything."
Szayelaporro adjusted his glasses and said, "I just made good use of the space you created and set up a very clever lever. This lever concentrates the weight of all of Hueco Mundo into a small area."
"The creation of this space is too exquisite, like a work of art, perfectly embedded above Hueco Mundo without disrupting its overall structure. Wouldn't it be a waste not to use it for modification and instead leave it be?"
At this point, Szayelaporro grinned strangely and spread his hands, saying, "So, how is it? It's perfect, right? Please forgive me for using such a method, but Your Majesty's power is too strong. If I didn't use the entire world to suppress you, I wouldn't be able to control you at all."
Bearing the weight of all of Hueco Mundo, even Feng Ye's power was greatly restricted. After all, when combined, Hueco Mundo possessed power approaching a third of the Soul King's! The Soul King's full power was five times that of Feng Ye at his peak, so a third of that was still greater.
However.
Even while bearing the weight and oppression of all of Hueco Mundo, Feng Ye's expression remained unchanged. He simply watched Szayelaporro calmly and said, "An interesting arrangement."
