Withered yellow leaves fell from the tree at the ancestral hall's entrance, swept by the wind towards the villagers. The candlelight on the altar began to sway, as if tiny yellow figures were dancing on the candle tips.

The villagers huddled together in fear. The Taoist priest also panicked, picking up his peach wood sword and waving it around aimlessly, not knowing what he was doing.

The plague-stricken villagers suddenly started wailing in agony on the ground, making everyone even more terrified.

The village chief shouted, "Master, what's happening?"

The priest swallowed hard, "They're coming… they're coming!"

Before he could turn around, I fainted. As I closed my eyes, I vaguely saw him turn, but I still couldn't make out his appearance.
