Chapter 599: No More Flagging!
Chapter 599: No More Flagging!
"Teacher, I'm leaving." N approached Zekrom and spoke to Jinghe with a solemn tone.
Although Jinghe held the title of 'Teacher,' many often addressed him with the same respect, adding the term 'Teacher' to his name.
However, the only ones who truly considered Jinghe their teacher were Dagu, Du Juan, Yasha, Mudan, and N himself.
Zekrom gazed at Jinghe with a reluctant look, knowing he had to part ways with this 'Ideal Hero.'
As the 'Wish Dragon,' it approached its tasks with a sense of completion, having acknowledged N and promised to aid him in achieving his ideals. Thus, Zekrom couldn't go back on its word and abandon its commitment.
But...
[When you're in danger and need me, I'll be there.]
Zekrom assured Jinghe with utmost sincerity.
This promise wasn't just because Jinghe was someone Zekrom respected, but also because Jinghe had offered his assistance during this challenging time.
"Let's go, let's go," Jinghe said, rubbing his forehead.
"Hurry up and leave!"
Just moments ago, Jinghe had promised to help Darmanitan with an extra 'meal,' and in the process, he witnessed Zekrom's impressive appetite.
"Perfect. Strong in battle and equally strong in appetite!"
"I can't afford to keep them all the time. I prefer the 'free-range' approach, calling them when needed."
"Right, Darmanitan?" Jinghe looked at Darmanitan, who was competing with Gengar and Yuki for cake, with cream still on its mouth.
Noticing Jinghe's gaze, Darmanitan gave him a puzzled look.
"What's up?"
Taking advantage of Darmanitan's distraction, Yuki boldly snatched the macaron from Darmanitan's hand.
"Yikes!"
"Take that, you!" Jinghe's mouth twitched.
"It's... nothing," Darmanitan grumbled, giving Jinghe a glare. "Don't disturb my 'meal,' or I'll hold you responsible for the macaron I missed!"
Jinghe: "..."
"Let's go, Darmanitan."
Zekrom let out a loud cry, flapped its black wings, and soared into the sky.
"Alright, we should head back to Einroudak. There's still some unfinished business there," Jinghe said.
"Mhm," Xihuona agreed, licking the cream off her lips from the cake she was eating.
As for the matter of Asura and the Plasma Grunts, Jinghe left it to Yuzi and Wanlong to handle.
"Red Lotus Armor Knight, we'll talk to Reshiram later. For now, let's return," Jinghe said.
As a legendary Fire-type dragon Pokemon, Reshiram's flame abilities had impressed the Red Lotus Armor Knight, who was curious about Reshiram's flame manipulation.
"Goo-goo."
The Red Lotus Armor Knight nodded and transformed back into the Crimson Blade Phantom.
Jinghe stored the small Pokemon away and, holding Xihuona's hand, they both mounted Reshiram again.
After bidding farewell to Yuzi and Wanlong, Jinghe gave the command, "Destination: Einroudak!"
Yuzi watched as the white dragon slowly departed, his expression filled with mixed emotions.
During this time in the Unova region, many events had unfolded, and without Jinghe's help, who knows how chaotic things might have become.
"In history, there has never been a hero acknowledged by both the Black and White Dragons," Yuzi muttered to himself.
This unprecedented event would undoubtedly be reported to the League, and he wondered how many jaws would drop when the League officials learned of this news.
Yuzi was certain that everyone would be shocked, without exception.
This was a guaranteed earthquake in the upper echelons of the Unova League.
Moreover, the question of how to express gratitude to Jinghe would be a tricky matter.
Yuzi suggested finding someone close to Jinghe to ask what he needed or lacked.
On their way back to Einroudak, Jinghe inquired about Reshiram's plans.
Reshiram had stated that as the 'Real Hero' it acknowledged, Jinghe's goals were its direction.
Jinghe's response was simple and genuine: "To make money."
Reshiram was taken aback by his straightforwardness.
While it could help with other matters, making money was something Reshiram truly had no idea about.
Did Jinghe expect it to perform in a circus or something?
Reshiram tentatively suggested that it could just stay in Einroudak and sleep.
Jinghe immediately agreed, "Correct password, I mean, correct answer!"
Having Reshiram by his side was indeed a cool idea, as who wouldn't want a legendary Pokemon?
However, considering the practicalities, if Reshiram accompanied him back to the Hoenn region, there was a high chance that Rayquaza would become restless, and even the slumbering Hoenn twin dragons might awaken prematurely.
If they went to the Sinnoh region, the previous incident where the three dragons united against Giratina was proof that Sinnoh wasn't Reshiram's territory, and it might lead to unnecessary conflicts.
Therefore, leaving Reshiram in Einroudak, Unova, seemed like the most suitable option.
In the future, when facing dangerous situations and seeking help, there's now one more person to turn to, which is quite a relief.
Moreover, Reshiram and Zekrom are different from Pokemon like Rayquaza and Giratina, where the former doesn't require the same level of risk or responsibility when seeking their assistance.
They are more like Mewtwo's and Darkrai's relationship with Jinghe.
"I'm oddly looking forward to encountering Hoopa now."
Riding on Reshiram, Jinghe returned to Ordran City with Xihuona and Victini.
Upon seeing Jinghe's safe return, the Earthfolk, led by Jinta, immediately expressed their gratitude and breathed a collective sigh of relief.
Although Ordran City wasn't exactly close to the Giant's Cave, the commotion caused by the cave's eruption was so significant that it could be felt even in Ordran City, naturally causing concern.
Furthermore, Jinghe had helped the Earthfolk resolve the issue of the Dragon Vein's rampage, which was enough reason for their gratitude.
"Victini's seal has been lifted, and the Dragon Vein issue has been resolved. Teacher Jinghe, please forgive my ignorance," Drednaw sincerely apologized.
He had previously insisted on using Victini's power to solve problems, but now he realized his ignorance. He never expected Teacher Jinghe to be so formidable.
The phrase 'mere three cloud gods' echoed deeply in Drednaw's mind.
Jinghe patted Drednaw's shoulder. Although he still didn't particularly like the man, at least he was apologetic.
"Pokemon are willing to help humans, but that doesn't give humans the right to endlessly exploit them," Jinghe said.
Jinta and the others exchanged glances, and Drednaw felt a sense of shame.
His intention to repay kindness with resentment was indeed wrong.
"Victini, I'm sorry!" Jinta and the Earthfolk apologized to Victini.
"Neh?"
Victini sat on Jinghe's head, holding his hair with one hand and a macaron with the other. It was taken aback by their apologies.
What were they doing? Why were they apologizing?
Victini's confusion only deepened the Earthfolk's sense of remorse.
"Yoji!"
Yuki, as Victini's 'big brother,' stepped forward and waved his hand grandly.
Apologies should be sincere! Jinta and the mayor understood and quickly smiled, saying, "We'll start preparing right away!"
The celebration had been interrupted by the Dragon Vein's rampage, but they had prepared a lot for the occasion.
"Yoji?" Yuki raised an eyebrow at Gengue.
How's my 'big brother' impression?
Gengue, the 'big big brother,' gave Yuki a thumbs-up.
As the residents of Ordran City dispersed, Jinghe turned his attention to the League staff led by Miss Junsha, including Cobalion and Acromas from Team Plasma, who were all under control.
Noticing Jinghe's gaze, Cobalion's hazy eyes suddenly snapped into focus, and his body recoiled in fear. "Quick! Arrest me! Arrest me now!" he shouted.
Acromas also avoided eye contact with Jinghe.
Judging by their reactions, they probably wouldn't dare to cause trouble again.
Perhaps they didn't even want to come out anymore.
"N, Teacher, this is all I can do for you," Jinghe sighed inwardly.
Whether you can capture the remnants of Team Plasma and realize your ideals to what extent, it's up to you.
"Teacher Jinghe, shall we go now?" Miss Junsha asked.
"You've worked hard," Jinghe said warmly.
"No, no, it wasn't hard at all!" Miss Junsha blushed and stood at attention.
Damn it, the sisters in the group didn't mention this, how can Teacher Jinghe be so gentle?
"And where's Da Ye?"
After Miss Junsha left with the Team Plasma criminals, Jinghe looked around and suddenly asked.
Jiadeliya had already linked arms with Xihuona and wrinkled her nose, saying, "Probably on his way to the Giant's Cave."
Jinghe was taken aback and managed to utter a single word after a long pause.
"Six."
Jinghe and Xihuona's Pokemon battle was intense, with Haunter, Larvitar, Frost Eevee, Sharpedo, Daiwo, Dan Tei, Ice Ninetales, Arcanine, Metagross, and Shiny Metagross engaging in a fierce showdown. The battle showcased various techniques, including Dragon Dance, Scale Shot, Shadow Ball, Boomerang, Will-O-Wisp, and Earth Power. Xihuona's Sharpedo Mega Evolution added a dramatic twist to the fight.
After the battle, Jinghe comforts Meloetta, who is reluctant to part ways. Meloetta, the only one capable of influencing the emotions of the Three Cloud Gods, must accompany Larry in returning the gods, leaving Jinghe behind. Meloetta has grown attached to Jinghe during their time together, often perching on his shoulder, singing BGM, and enjoying tasty snacks.
Jinghe reassures Meloetta, promising that she can visit him whenever she completes her task. Upon hearing this, Meloetta stops crying and looks at him with tearful eyes. Jinghe turns to Larry, the guardian of Meloetta and a member of the ancient tribe, who assures Meloetta that he will take her to see Jinghe after calming the Three Cloud Gods.
The recent incident in Ordran City with the Bikutini has left Larry contemplating the situation. The Earthfolk, who sought Bikutini's power, and Larry's tribe, who guarded the underwater temple and the Three Cloud Gods, had essentially been confining Meloetta. Pokemon willingly lend their strength to humans, but this doesn't justify restricting their freedom.
Genggui, the Gengar, quietly approaches Meloetta and hands her a phone, causing her eyes to light up. Having spent time with Jinghe, Meloetta has learned to use the phone. Genggui gestures to call someone and then disappears, whistling innocently.
Jinghe imagines a potential idol group consisting of Meloetta, Genggui, Chingling, and Meowth, named "One Song, You're Done." He believes this group could be successful in the sleep aid market, even against legendary Pokemon, as long as they don't use the Song of Ruin.
As Meloetta's mood improves, she cuddles Jinghe's head, rubbing her cheek against his. Bikutini, perched on Jinghe's head, mimics the action, causing his hair to become slightly disheveled.
Darkrai, sitting in the corner, enjoys the promised "extra meal" of Energy Cubes, nodding in satisfaction. He observes Jinghe being embraced by Bikutini and Meloetta and decides to share some information.
Darkrai, despite his mischievous nature, is well-liked. He scans the ten boxes of Energy Cubes on the ground, pleased with the reward. Jinghe, understanding the unspoken agreement, ensures the promised "double" reward is not only met but exceeded.
As Darkrai departs, vanishing into the shadows, the Energy Cubes disappear with him. Jinghe smiles, knowing that Darkrai intentionally left extra cubes as a gesture of appreciation for his assistance.
Meloetta, still reluctant to leave, follows Larry, and Reshiram, exhausted from the battle, expresses the need for rest. Despite Bikutini's assistance, the battle took a toll on Reshiram.
Reshiram assures Jinghe that he will return as quickly as possible whenever needed. This is a solemn promise Reshiram makes to those he respects.
Jinghe looks up, wondering how many victories they will achieve that day. Bikutini blinks in response, seemingly curious about the sudden departure of the others.
Jinghe offers Bikutini a macaron, asking about its plans.
