Chapter 599: Curious About the World Through My Eyes?
"It's an honor for Lord Ulquiorra to take you in. What are you waiting for?"
Ulquiorra, seeing that Tier Harribel remained stationary, her black wings retracting and disappearing, returning to a form more akin to a human, addressed her calmly.
Tier Harribel's body swayed slightly as she continued to breathe heavily. The injuries and spiritual pressure depletion she had sustained would require time to recover.
"I am grateful that you saved me, but I will not pledge allegiance to anyone else." Tier Harribel replied slowly as she turned to face Ulquiorra.
She paused here, turning her head to look at Nelliel, her eyes flashing. "You must be Nelliel, right? Although your spiritual pressure and appearance have changed, it's still you... Why are you loyal to that person, and how did you become what you are now?"
Tier Harribel did not recognize Ulquiorra or Starrk, but she knew Nelliel. Nelliel was not only a rare member of the top-tier Vasto Lorde among the hollows, but also the only female Vasto Lorde-level hollow she had ever encountered.
Nelliel glanced at Tier Harribel before looking towards Feng Ye's departing figure in the distance. "My power was bestowed upon me by Lord Feng Ye. As for why I am loyal to him, it is because that is what we ought to do."
"?"
Tier Harribel was taken aback for a moment, a puzzled look on her face.
Nelliel turned to face Tier Harribel and calmly asked, "Then, what kind of being do you think is capable of granting us Vasto Lorde-level hollows power and elevating us to an even higher level?"
This question caused Tier Harribel to pause, her thoughts racing through her mind, and a look of astonishment slowly appeared on her face.
Indeed.
The Vasto Lorde was already the highest-level hollow, the pinnacle of the hollows. She had never heard of an even higher level of existence, but Feng Ye was able to elevate the Vasto Lorde to an even higher level. This indicated that Feng Ye himself was at least two levels above the Vasto Lorde! There had never been such a disparity in the hollow circle, and this gap was more than just a little. It was a fundamental difference in the nature of life, implying that Feng Ye's existence far surpassed theirs. Thus, the only identity she could fathom was that of a legendary figure.
The one who created the hollow circle millions of years ago—the true Hollow King!
Tier Harribel suddenly looked at Nelliel, who had lowered her spear and nodded slightly towards her before striding forward to catch up with Feng Ye.
Ulquiorra and Starrk also took steps forward, joining Nelliel as they followed in the direction Feng Ye had gone, leaving Tier Harribel alone.
She took a deep breath.
After glancing in the direction Feng Ye had left, Tier Harribel swayed slightly and took a step forward, eventually chasing after Feng Ye.
Feng Ye stood atop a hill, walking towards the center of Las Noches, his gaze calm as he tilted his head slightly upwards, gazing into the sky. His eyes pierced through space, observing the scene in the realm above Las Noches.
The hollow that had attacked Tier Harribel earlier was not created by Aizen.
As he had said himself, it was a life form born because of his existence, and it had already interfered with the development trajectory of Tier Harribel and the hollow circle.
The 'Palace of the Hollow King' that Feng Ye had created back then was actually formed by utilizing powers similar to the Heavenly Order, fusing it with spiritual particles. Since he didn't intend to let just anyone enter, he added a lock to this space.
It required the Rinnegan, the reincarnation eye, with nine tomoe to unlock this seal.
However.
This did not mean that no one from the hollow circle or Soul Society could enter. Since his power was present in both realms, just as someone could awaken the Rinnegan, someone could also awaken an even higher level of eye power and enter the Palace of the Hollow King!
And once they entered the Palace, they could utilize the 'Evolutionary Power' he had left there to further elevate themselves—essentially a variant of the Hogyoku.
Indeed.
The Palace of the Hollow King itself possessed qualities similar to the Hogyoku. Any hollow that entered could harness the power within to break through their limitations and become an Arrancar.
This was the origin of the Arrancar who had pursued Tier Harribel.
"What kind of world do you see through your eyes, Tier Harribel?"
Feng Ye's gaze swept over his Palace of the Hollow King, casually observing the situation within before withdrawing his gaze indifferently.
Tier Harribel, with blood flowing from her wounds and four or five injuries on her body, had somehow appeared at his side, slightly wobbling as she followed him.
"A world filled with sacrifice..." Tier Harribel replied in a low voice, her hand covering a wound on her shoulder.
Feng Ye stopped walking and turned to face her. "Then, the world you see is too narrow. Are you curious about the world through my eyes?"
Tier Harribel halted and looked at Feng Ye before her.
Feng Ye extended his right hand and placed it on the side of her forehead, his thumb resting on her left eye as he said calmly, "Open your eyes."
Buzz!!
In an instant, the world spun.
Tier Harribel's pupils contracted violently, and she felt as if her consciousness had been abruptly pulled out of her body. Her perspective began to stretch infinitely.
She felt her body leave the ground, soaring into the endless sky, reaching the edge of the horizon in a moment, flying into the distant unknown.
In a matter of seconds, Hueco Mundo and the Soul Society diminished further, eventually merging into two specks of light that disappeared into the vast starry sky, never to be found again.
The next moment, the world before her eyes rapidly expanded once more, pulling her gaze closer as it zoomed in, bringing her back into Hueco Mundo, into Las Noches, and it didn't stop there—everything continued to magnify.
The architecture of Las Noches grew larger and larger in her vision until it revealed itself to be composed of countless spirit particles, neatly arranged and combined.
As far as the eye could see, the earth, the sky, and the entire world were made up of these spirit particles, arranged in regular and irregular patterns. She even noticed, above the sky, directly above Las Noches, another space hidden behind layer upon layer of dimensions, where vague signs of other life forms lingered.
In just a few short seconds, her eyes had witnessed the vastness and grandeur of the entire universe, as well as the infinitesimally small world of spirit particles, with their endless complexity and splendor.
She saw how the Hollows of Hueco Mundo died and turned into spirit particles that entered the human world, where they reincarnated, and she also saw how humans died and their souls transformed into spirit particles that entered the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo.
Buzz!!!
It felt like an eternity, yet also like mere seconds had passed. As her consciousness blurred and hazed, everything returned to tranquility once more.
Her consciousness returned to her body.
Herybell stumbled back two steps, still feeling dizzy and unsteady. After a moment, as her consciousness gradually recovered, she took a breath and bowed her head to Feng Ye, kneeling on one knee to express her submission.
Feng Ye observed Herybell's actions with a calm demeanor, as if he had expected it. He then flicked his finger, sending a wisp of power into her body.
"I also grant you the power to evolve."
Buzz!!!
A radiant glow suddenly appeared on Herybell, who was still kneeling on one knee. It was accompanied by a surge of white mist that spread in all directions.
Her wounds healed silently, and all traces of blood vanished instantly. The shark-like bone armor and mask she wore retracted and disappeared.
Finally, when she stood up again, she had transformed into a form similar to Nelliel's. She looked indistinguishable from a human, wearing a tight white shirt that exposed her slender waist and delicate navel, and a white striped skirt that swayed gently in the breeze. The broken blade on her arm had transformed into a delicate short sword that she held in her hand.
"Thank you for your blessing."
Herybell bowed to Feng Ye.
Feng Ye glanced at Herybell, Ulquiorra, and the others, and said calmly, "After I get rid of the rat that sneaked into the palace, the task of guarding that place will be yours."
"We will follow your instructions."
Nelliel, Ulquiorra, Herybell, and the others simultaneously bowed to Feng Ye.
Only Lilynette, who was perched on Stark's back, poked her head out. She looked at Herybell, then at Ulquiorra, before turning to Feng Ye and asking in a soft voice, "Lord Hollow... um... why didn't Stark receive your blessing..."
Bang!
Stark raised his fist and knocked on Lilynette's head. Although he had the same question, it was obvious that such a question shouldn't be asked aloud.
Feng Ye glanced at Lilynette and replied casually, "Because your powers are inherently stronger than theirs."
Lilynette: "..."
Stark: "..."
Feng Ye looked up and said, "While it is possible to forcefully enter the Palace of the Hollow King from other locations, my original setup would cause it to self-destruct. The only way to enter safely is from directly below, using the 'key' to unlock it. So, let's keep moving."
As he finished speaking, Feng Ye took a step forward, his pace slightly quicker than before, covering a distance of several hundred meters in one stride.
Lilinette, Ulquiorra, and the others quickly followed Feng Ye, soon crossing the outskirts of Las Noches and reaching the center of the palace.
Here, they found themselves in a very spacious palace with no roof.
At the top of the palace, Baraggan, wearing a golden crown and a purple cloak, walked a few steps and sat down on his throne. He propped his chin with a bony hand and gazed toward the front of the palace, where Feng Ye and his companions had appeared, and asked, "Why have you returned, and have you brought your companions with you?"
"My previous warning was the last one."
"So, unless I hear you pledging allegiance to me next, you won't be leaving this place alive... Herybell!"
Buzz!!!
Along with Baraggan's cold and majestic voice, a deathly and oppressive aura spread in all directions.
A terrifying spiritual pressure bore down on Herybell, who was standing to Feng Ye's left. This immense pressure caused the sky above the center of Las Noches to seem like it was shaking.
