Chapter 596: Korai Stark
Chapter 596: Korai Stark
"Coyote Palace..."
Hearing Feng Ye's words, Nel couldn't help but murmur and asked in a soft voice, "Is it true that it was once a palace built by you, but now it's occupied by a Vasto Lorde?"
Feng Ye gazed into the distance, his voice calm as he replied, "That palace wasn't built by me. The one I created is directly above Coyote Palace. But... just like Coyote Palace, my palace has also been occupied by someone else."
"Eh?"
Nel was taken aback.
She didn't know that above Coyote Palace, there was a small space created by Feng Ye, let alone that this space was now occupied by another being.
"So, to prevent this from happening again, I think I'll choose a few suitable beings to be my personal guard and have them keep watch over that place for me."
Feng Ye spoke with a calm tone as he took a step forward. "Follow me."
Whoosh!!
With a single step, he had already teleported to a distant location.
Lilith gracefully glided forward to catch up with Feng Ye, and Nel immediately reacted, taking a step forward to closely follow behind him as well.
...
Soul Society.
Within the Seireitei of the Soul Society, in the 2nd Division's barracks, there was a secret underground base.
Soifon was breathing heavily, her hand gripping a sword tightly. There were numerous visible bloodstains on her, dyeing parts of her clothing red. She was currently engaged in a battle with her Zanpakuto, which she had manifested using Urahara Kisuke's invention, the 'Transmutation Body'. It was a secret tool used for forcibly training Bankai.
As long as one could conquer the Zanpakuto spirit, they would be able to directly master their Bankai!
"Hu... Hu..."
Soifon's blood and sweat mixed together, dripping down constantly as she fought arduously against her Zanpakuto, her spiritual pressure appearing greatly depleted.
Just as she seemed to be on the verge of collapse, the Zanpakuto spirit attacking her vanished with a puff, reverting back into a doll of equal height.
"Let's stop here for now."
Yoruichi approached from a short distance away.
Soifon panted a few times before turning to Yoruichi and said, "Captain Yoruichi... I can still continue..."
Yoruichi shook her head and looked up, "There's no need to rush. You have plenty of time to train slowly, and I'll help you. Besides, we have a visitor."
As she spoke, Yoruichi walked up to Soifon and patted her on the shoulder. "Go and tend to your wounds. I'll go see what's happening."
As her words trailed off, Yoruichi's figure flickered, and she disappeared from the underground base, arriving at the exit and stepping outside.
As soon as she exited,
a Shinigami team member who had been waiting at the entrance immediately reported to her anxiously, "Captain! Lieutenant Hatake and Lady Lilith are pursuing a group of Hollows that appeared in the Soul Society. They entered a spatial passageway and went to Hueco Mundo, and we've lost contact with them!"
Hearing the report, Yoruichi was slightly taken aback, a headache forming as she said, "Why would he suddenly do something so reckless..."
"Captain, should we report this to the 12th Division and request their help in opening a passage to Hueco Mundo to bring Lieutenant Hatake and the others back?"
Shinomori Uta spoke with a tense expression.
Yoruichi rested her hand on her chin, thinking briefly before replying, "Not yet. If it's Feng Ye, he probably has a plan."
If it were anyone else who had entered Hueco Mundo, she would most likely try to find a way to rescue them immediately. But Feng Ye's abilities were beyond her comprehension, and he didn't seem like the type to rashly charge into Hueco Mundo without a good reason. So, there was probably no need to panic.
Feng Ye would most likely return on his own.
"Yes."
Although Shinomori still felt somewhat uneasy, Yoruichi had made her decision, and he eventually nodded and stepped back.
After watching Shinomori leave, Yoruichi turned and re-entered the underground base.
"What's happened, Captain Yoruichi?"
Soifon had not yet removed her clothes to treat her wounds in the hot spring pool; instead, she waited at the site and inquired as Yoruichi returned.
Yoruichi held a blade of grass in her hand, its origin unknown. She pinched the root of the grass between her fingers, swaying the front end of it in front of her eyes casually as she replied, "That Feng Ye fellow pursued a group of Hollows into Hueco Mundo."
"Eh?!"
Soifon was slightly startled, "How did that happen...?"
Although the Soul Society frequently investigated Hueco Mundo, they always did so by first creating a Senkaimon, a stable gateway, in conjunction with the Kido Corps and other departments. Only then would they enter Hueco Mundo to conduct their investigations and return via the same route.
If one were to pursue Hollows into Hueco Mundo, they would have no idea where they would end up, and returning via the same route would obviously be impossible.
"It's fine, don't worry. He's not the impetuous type."
"You should go and treat your wounds."
Yoruichi turned the blade of grass in her hand and gently tickled Soifon's translucent earlobe with it, causing her to dodge away, overcome with itching.
Soifon hesitated for a moment, but thinking of Feng Ye's strength and capabilities, she realized that he must have had a good reason for doing what he did.
...
Hueco Mundo
As Yoruichi and Soifon soaked in the hot springs, relaxing and restoring their depleted spiritual pressure, Feng Ye, Nel, and Lilith had traveled a considerable distance within Hueco Mundo.
This area was desolate, but compared to the vast white desert, it seemed slightly better. One could spot small, rolling hills rising from the sands.
This place was no longer a pure desert.
"There's a strange spiritual pressure here, unlike anything I've encountered before..."
Nel trailed behind Feng Ye, gazing at the hills in the distance. A strange light flashed in her eyes.
She sensed an unusual spiritual pressure emanating from the hills ahead. It didn't quite feel like a Hollow, nor a Shinigami, but it resembled her current state to some extent.
The night sky hung with a full moon, bathing the desert and hills in silvery moonlight, like a shimmering screen.
On one of the slightly flatter hills, a figure lay there, exuding an air of loneliness and solitude.
As if sensing their presence, he turned his head towards Feng Ye and Nel. His eyes briefly lingered on Nel and Lilith before sitting up and asking, "Your spiritual pressures are strong. Are you here to find me? Is there something you need?"
The figure looked almost indistinguishable from a human. Even a Vasto Lorde-level Hollow wouldn't achieve such a high level of humanoid resemblance.
Nel, after receiving Feng Ye's blessing, had undergone another transformation, attaining a form nearly identical to that of a human. This was a form that surpassed even the Vasto Lorde!
He was—
Coyote Stark!
His strength and rarity surpassed even that of a Vasto Lorde. He was a Hollow that had self-evolved into an Arrancar after reaching the Vasto Lorde stage, and he would become the leader of the Espadas in the original storyline!
"!"
Upon sensing his almost human-like form and the peculiar spiritual pressure, Nel's eyes narrowed with focus.
The opponent was powerful, and even with Feng Ye's blessing, she wasn't sure if she could best him.
Just as Nel stared intently at Stark, rather abruptly, another head popped up next to Stark and peered at them.
"Oh dear, how boring. Wanna play with us?"
She was Stark's Fraccion, Lilynette Gingerback, but in truth, she was a part of Stark himself, a split personality born from his loneliness.
"Mind your manners, Lilynette."
Stark raised his hand and tapped Lilynette's head.
Lilynette pouted and bit down on Stark's hand, grumbling, "We rarely come across someone with such strong spiritual pressure. Maybe we can finally have some fun!"
"Stop biting my hand!"
Stark yelped and tried to shake Lilynette off, but she clung tightly to his hand. Finally, he used his other hand to chop at her neck, forcing her to let go.
"Coyote Stark."
Feng Ye approached with a calm demeanor, offering his hand as he said, "Be my Fraccion."
Feng Ye's action caught both Stark and Lilynette off guard. Lilynette scowled and retorted, "Who do you think you are, asking us to be your subordinates?!"
Stark raised his hand and smacked Lilynette's head. Then he stood up, eyeing Feng Ye with a hint of seriousness. "So, you're the leader among the three of you?"
Since Feng Ye, Nel, and Lilith appeared, Stark had been observing them. His assessment was that Lilith was the most powerful, as he couldn't see through her. Nel seemed to be equally as strong as him, while Feng Ye was the one he initially overlooked.
But now...
Among the three, Stark couldn't sense any spiritual pressure from Feng Ye, yet he claimed to be the leader. This revelation took Stark by surprise and indicated that the situation was far from what he imagined.
Feng Ye looked at Stark and spoke calmly. "You are too powerful. Any Hollow that stays with you will gradually have their souls eroded and die, leaving you lonely and unable to find companions. But with me, you will have companions as strong as yourself."
Stark stared intently at Feng Ye.
Lilynette, beside him, fell silent as Nel and Lilith turned their gazes on her. The pressure they exuded made her feel a sense of oppression.
After staring at Feng Ye for a few seconds, Stark slowly asked, "May I ask... who are you?"
Feng Ye smiled faintly.
Without saying a word, he raised his hand and pointed upwards, towards the sky.
