Chapter 593: Military Supplies and Hina Fujiwara
Chapter 593: Military Supplies and Hina Fujiwara
Afterward, Chairman Hu Jing held a welcoming ceremony for Su Yu to celebrate his return.
Since everyone was busy and the event was unplanned, the ceremony was quite simple.
Despite its simplicity, everyone genuinely celebrated Su Yu’s safe return, as his survival was crucial for humanity’s chances of victory.
After the ceremony, Su Yu followed Chairman Hu Jing to a hidden conference room. Alongside them were Chancellor Cao, Zhong Feng, and Xiao Tian, all of whom were trusted allies.
Once in the conference room, Su Yu and Chancellor Cao set up several shielding arrays to ensure that no information could leak out.
After the preparations were complete, Su Yu looked at everyone in the room and said gravely, "Everyone, my trip to Skrul wasn’t just about collecting artifacts. In Backer, I emptied over a dozen military warehouses."
He then recounted in detail everything he had done in Backer.
Since everyone present could be trusted, he also explained the deal he had made with Cindy Doppler.
Upon hearing Su Yu’s account, Chairman Hu Jing, Zhong Feng, Xiao Tian, and even Chancellor Cao were utterly stunned!
Su Yu’s haul was just too enormous!
200,000 units of various main battle firearms?!
5,000 mechs?!
3,700 drones?!
And 5,000 multi-functional infantry vehicles, along with thousands of canisters of psychic energy?
Good grief! Su Yu had managed to secure such a vast amount of resources! How many warehouses did he have to empty?
With this much weaponry and equipment, Blue Earth could outfit over a dozen elite divisions!
The sudden influx of such fortune left Chairman Hu Jing sitting in his chair, supporting his head with his left hand, feeling a wave of dizziness.
Zhong Feng, Xiao Tian, and Chancellor Cao were even more astonished. They had no idea that Backer had any connection with humanity, and they certainly didn’t expect Su Yu to have established such a line of communication!
"I can’t handle this right now," Zhong Feng said, leaning back in his chair and rubbing his face vigorously.
The amount of information Su Yu had shared was overwhelming, leaving him nearly speechless.
"You never disappoint! I made the right choice in you," Xiao Tian said, walking over to Su Yu and hugging his arm, her eyes sparkling with admiration.
Chancellor Cao, accustomed to dealing with high-pressure situations, managed to maintain a bit more composure.
He stroked his beard and said, "I never imagined Backer would be on our side. No wonder the Anti-Union Organization has been so active in organizing the masses."
Su Yu smiled and waved his hand, continuing, "However, don’t get too excited yet. I don’t think we should use all this equipment right away. If we do, the Skrul might connect it to the theft in Backer and suspect we have ties to the Anti-Union Organization."
Zhong Feng nodded. "That makes sense. So, what do you suggest we do with this equipment?"
Su Yu replied, "I think the best time to equip the entire army would be a month before the final battle. By then, the Skrul won’t have time to investigate the origin of this equipment, and it won’t interfere with our training. It could even boost our troops’ morale. It’s a win-win-win situation."
"Agreed, let’s do it your way!" Chairman Hu Jing said, having recovered from his shock.
This equipment gave him more confidence. While it might not increase the overall chances of victory by 1%, it certainly boosted them by at least 0.5%. Su Yu had truly made an invaluable contribution!
"Alright, then I’ll store this equipment in my spatial necklace. It’s the safest place."
Su Yu looked at the others in the room. "But everyone must keep this a secret. We can’t let any word about this equipment leak out."
We'll give the Skrulls a big surprise when the time comes!"
"Understood," the people in the meeting room responded in unison.
Chairman Hu Jing and Zhong Feng were already lost in thought, imagining the impact of the large-scale military equipment.
Su Yu glanced at the time on his phone; it was 11:20 AM.
If he could speed up the current matters, he should be able to complete his 12-hour game session for the day.
Without waiting for the others to finish their deliberations, Su Yu quickly moved on to the next topic: "There's one more thing I need to mention."
Seeing the attention in the room shift back to him, Su Yu pulled out a large backpack from his spatial necklace.
He explained, "This backpack contains crystals that can absorb nuclear radiation, about 50 kilograms. From the scale of the last 'Gravity Funnel' campaign in the Japan Sea, I estimate that 20 kilograms of these crystals should be enough to absorb most of the uranium atoms and radioactive rays in the ocean, effectively eliminating the nuclear radiation."
After the 2000 nuclear bombs exploded, the Great Cultivators had been continuously building barriers to contain the affected seawater within a specific area. Fortunately, the nuclear radiation did not spread globally, making it easier to manage.
Seeing the backpack of crystals, Chairman Hu Jing and Zhong Feng's eyes lit up.
Zhong Feng said with excitement, "This is great news! We have over 20 Great Cultivators responsible for handling the seawater over there. With these crystals, we can save a lot of manpower."
Chairman Hu Jing suggested, "Why don't we directly hand these crystals over to Prime Minister Fujiwara Chihana? She's at the Joint Government Office of Fujiwara, and I can call her over right now."
"Sure, bring her over," Su Yu nodded.
About ten minutes later, Prime Minister Fujiwara Chihana entered the meeting room.
Fujiwara Chihana was a 16-year-old girl, not much older than Xia Tian.
Last year, in the cabinet elections, she defeated the leaders of the two major factions within the Liberal Democratic Party, Seigakkai and Toseikai, and successfully became the President of the Liberal Democratic Party, and thus the Prime Minister of Japan.
She was the youngest Prime Minister in Japanese history, a fact that was widely discussed and admired by many.
Originally, she could have made grand plans and governed Japan for decades from this position. But the sudden "Gravity Funnel" incident changed everything.
Her family, friends, and political rivals within her party, as well as the officials she had appointed, all perished. She was the only survivor.
In addition, there were millions of Japanese people's blood debts to be avenged.
Now, her mind was filled with only one word: "Revenge." Nothing else mattered.
When Su Yu saw Fujiwara Chihana, he noticed a thick cloud of gloom hanging over her face. Even when she saw Su Yu, her cold, icy eyes showed no change, as if it were the dead of winter.
"What do you need?" she asked in a low, somber voice as she entered.
"Fujiwara, you're here!" Chairman Hu Jing greeted her, gesturing for her to sit down and pointing to the backpack on the meeting table. "These are the crystals Su Yu brought back, capable of absorbing nuclear radiation. With these crystals, your country can properly deal with the nuclear radiation problem."
"Ah, thank you. Is there anything else?" Fujiwara Chihana's eyes remained lifeless.
"Nothing else," Chairman Hu Jing looked to Xia Tian. "Xia Tian, take the crystals to Prime Minister Fujiwara after the meeting."
"Understood," Xia Tian responded.
