Chapter 58: Smart AI Xiaochan
Chapter 58: Smart AI Xiaochan (Please Continue Reading)
Fang Huiyi heard something unbelievable—Yue Feng, the deputy head of Crimson Vault Martial Arts Pavilion, actually believed her son could become an A-rank prodigy.
Could her son truly be that extraordinary?
She felt as though she were dreaming. Her heart raced, and pride swelled within her chest. Overwhelmed with emotion, she longed to share this joy with Lin Zhen.
Lin Qi remained composed, nodding inwardly. Yue Feng indeed had sharper insight than others, recognizing his innate talent.
But even Yue Feng hadn’t seen the full picture. Still, his judgment was impressive enough.
Meeting Yue Feng’s gaze, Lin Qi smiled and said,
“I agree completely!”
Sun Manager blinked in surprise as Yue Feng burst into laughter.
“Haha, I like your confidence! A genius must believe in themselves.” Yue Feng clapped Lin Qi’s shoulder. “Sun Manager, show them around the pavilion.”
“Of course.”
After Lin Qi and Fang Huiyi left, Yue Feng watched Lin Qi’s retreating figure.
“I’d planned to offer an A-rank contract directly, but that’s too risky—he’d become a target. Better to wait until his provincial ranking improves. Promotion will feel natural then.” He murmured to himself, “This year’s evaluation hinges on you, Lin Qi. I can’t afford to miss a genius without an awakened special ability.”

“This is our recovery area,” Sun Manager gestured as they entered the second floor of Crimson Vault Martial Arts Pavilion. “Adjacent is the training equipment zone—Punch Force Analyzers, Velocity Trackers, and neural reaction speed testers.”
Lin Qi had previously only visited Guo Heng’s Martial Arts Training Hall and Virtual Chambers as a sparring assistant.
The Recovery Chamber housed rows of egg-shaped pods, slightly smaller than Neural Pods.
“Your mother’s health isn’t ideal,” Sun Manager noted. “She can relax here regularly. The Recovery Pods relieve muscle tension and revitalize organs. We also have massage therapists to stimulate vitality through meridian therapy, and the cafeteria offers nutritional meals.”
“You’ll receive two family access cards,” Sun Manager continued. “Your parents’ expenses will be billed to you. Additionally, the pavilion covers 20% of hospital costs beyond insurance.”
Lin Qi’s eyes lit up. His mother’s chronic issues required more than supplements—external therapy was crucial. Reimbursement for medical bills would ease a significant financial burden.
“Please, let my mother try a pod now,” he said.
Fang Huiyi stepped into a Recovery Pod without hesitation. A cool mist enveloped her, seeping through her skin into muscles and organs. Waves of comfort washed over her, unlike anything she’d experienced before.
“Training halls?” Lin Qi asked after the hour-long session.
Sun Manager nodded. “Let’s go to the private martial arts hall.”
As they walked the corridor, three figures trailed behind. Qiu Siying, a wealthy-looking girl, squinted.
“Isn’t that Lin Qi from Guo Heng’s sparring team?”
“The one with the unforgettable face? Definitely him,” Lü Xiang confirmed.
Wu Feng frowned. “Since when did Sun Manager start personally guiding members? He’s always so stern.”
Qiu Siying texted Guo Heng photos. Moments later, he replied with a single question mark.
---
Sun Manager halted before a white metal door—Room B123. After scanning Lin Qi’s palmprint and retina, the door hissed open.
“You can use the facilities even before headquarters approves your contract,” Sun Manager explained.
The hall mirrored Guo Heng’s: Recovery Pods, independent bathrooms, Punch Force Analyzers, dummies, and weapon racks. Private halls like this cost 1,000 Xia Kingdom Currency hourly—a luxury Lin Qi once envied.
“I’ll introduce the features,” Sun Manager offered.
“No need,” Lin Qi declined. “I worked here part-time before.”
Sun Manager blinked, surprised.
“But you’ve never experienced this,” Sun Manager grinned, pressing a wall panel. A ceiling-mounted projector whirred, casting green beams that coalesced into a red-and-white-clad girl with porcelain features and an icy aura.
“This is Crimson Heaven’s third-gen AI,” Sun Manager announced. “Connect her to your phone network. She’ll manage tasks—like ordering meals—to aid your training.”
Lin Qi studied the lifelike figure. “How’s she different from sentient AI?”
“Sentient AI can transfer between devices, follow you anywhere, and even protect you. Our AI requires bulky projectors,” Sun Manager clarified.
Lin Qi nodded. Portability alone justified the value gap.
“Ask her anything,” Sun Manager added before departing.
“Hello, I’m Xiaochan, your AI companion,” the girl chimed, her voice melodic.
“You’re named Xiaochan now,” Lin Qi decided.
“Thank you, Master,” Xiaochan bowed. “Querying functions…”
A holographic screen materialized, listing commands: voice-controlled meal orders, video projections, data searches.
“Oh?” Lin Qi noticed a feature—customizable hairstyles and outfits. Moments later, Xiaochan reappeared in a blue bodysuit with flowing black hair, reminiscent of mythological goddesses from his past life.
As Xiaochan adjusted settings, Lin Qi reflected on his gains: a B-rank contract, Yue Feng’s favor, and resources to heal his mother.
He texted Lin Zhen, received no reply, then messaged Jiang Tao:
“Brother Tao, coming to sign your contract today?”
“Afternoon,” Jiang Tao replied.
Satisfied, Lin Qi grabbed his long spear, practicing techniques in silence.
