Chapter 574: This Snake is Good, Take It!
Chapter 574: This Snake is Good, Take It!
The sudden appearance of the fog caused Voldemort and his Death Eaters to lose sight of their target.
Confronted by the fog that almost enveloped the entire hilltop, Voldemort was momentarily stunned. He couldn't locate Kyle, and casting spells recklessly might harm his Death Eaters.
Of course, Voldemort wasn't concerned about them; he had just resurrected and had many tasks to attend to. He couldn't possibly handle everything personally, and he didn't want to waste time on trivial matters.
So, the Death Eaters still had some use for him, and dying here would be a poor investment. Otherwise, their inaction for the past decade would have been enough to warrant ten deaths.
Voldemort raised his wand, attempting to disperse the fog, but to little effect.
Amidst the howling wind, the fog did thin out slightly, but it would take some time to completely dissipate.
During this period, Voldemort felt he should do something to prevent his prey from escaping.
"Nagini!" he said coldly.
A giant snake, at least twelve feet long, appeared beside Voldemort. It moved swiftly, seemingly unaffected by the fog.
"Go and find that boy," Voldemort's crimson eyes flashed in the mist, "You can smell him. Go, don't let him escape!"
The giant snake immediately slithered in a specific direction.
Voldemort continued casting his spells.
The wind on the hilltop grew stronger, causing branches to rustle, and the Death Eaters struggled to maintain their balance. To avoid being blown away, they clung to whatever they could find to anchor themselves.
Gradually, the fog began to dissipate.
Voldemort turned his head first, looking in the direction where Nagini had just left.
He spotted Kyle, but contrary to his expectations, Kyle wasn't showing any signs of fear. Instead, he was smiling as he helped Harry up from the ground.
A Snidget was trying to stuff Harry's glasses into its belly pocket.
And Nagini, the giant snake, lay motionless on the ground.
All of this was due to a person who shouldn't have been there, someone Voldemort would never forget.
Albus Dumbledore.
He stood there, his gaze calm and unperturbed.
Voldemort raised his wand, and a green light shot towards Dumbledore.
With Kyle and Harry behind him, Dumbledore didn't dodge but instead cast an orange light in response.
The two spells collided in midair, resulting in a loud, intense blast.
Dumbledore waved his wand, and the surrounding trees suddenly came to life. They pulled their roots out of the soil, using their thick branches as weapons, aiming at the surrounding Death Eaters.
The Death Eaters screamed and cast various spells, but these spells, which could shatter rocks and the ground, merely grazed the tree trunks, having no effect.
Instead, one Death Eater, running too slowly, had his leg pierced by a branch, causing him to howl in pain.
The ground beneath Kyle suddenly transformed into a steep slope, and Kyle and Harry slid down like they were on a slide, quickly escaping the battlefield.
Just before sliding down, Kyle acted swiftly, grabbing Nagini's tail and dragging the giant snake with them.
"No, stop!"
Kyle clearly heard Voldemort's sharp roar, but he didn't care, still holding tightly to the snake's tail.
With Dumbledore present, even if he took the snake, what could Voldemort do to him?
As expected, just as Voldemort was about to approach, he was forced to retreat by a series of powerful spells.
"Get out of the way, Dumbledore!"
"You know that's impossible, Tom," Dumbledore said calmly, "Your resurrection ends here!"
"So you want my life?"
Dumbledore... Could you really do something so cruel?"
After that, Kyle couldn't hear anything else.
He and Harry slid down the steep slope created by Dumbledore, and it took a long time before they finally stopped.
There were too many rocks along the way, and Harry felt pain all over his body. He didn't know which part to cover with his hands, so he could only lie on the ground and groan.
Kyle had climbed onto Nagini earlier, so he had a thick "cushion" to land on and was fine.
He turned and stood up, opened the box and placed it on the ground, then grabbed the snake's tail and started pushing it inside.
Just as he was halfway through, a hand suddenly touched his arm.
This was too sudden, and Kyle was startled. He turned around and realized it was Harry.
"What are you doing?"
"Is that Kyle? Sorry..." Harry reached out and groped, "I can't see clearly, did you see my glasses nearby?"
Kyle glanced at the Snitch on his shoulder, and it immediately covered its pocket.
"No." Kyle shook his head and said calmly, "It probably fell along the way."

Without the Snitch, Kyle wouldn't have been able to find Harry's location in the fog, and Dumbledore wouldn't have been able to save the two of them at once.
Therefore, strictly speaking, the Snitch also saved Harry's life, and it's reasonable to take a pair of glasses as a reward.
Moreover, some things are not suitable for Harry to see, and his current state is just right.
Kyle sped up the process of pushing the snake into the box.
Harry squinted his eyes; he could only vaguely see a person's shadow hugging something like wood, and everything else was blurry.
"What are you doing?"
"Oh, nothing, just moving some things." Kyle replied.
After pushing Nagini completely into the box, he closed it and stood up.
Now, they were at the foot of the mountain, and they couldn't see what was happening above. Occasionally, they could see different colored lights flashing in the sky.
"I think I heard Dumbledore earlier." Harry groped and stood up.
At this moment, he finally calmed down and said anxiously, "Kyle, you must quickly tell Professor Dumbledore, Voldemort... Voldemort has resurrected.
"Someone used a hand, a bone... and my blood, put them in a pot and cooked them, and Voldemort was also inside, and then he resurrected... We must quickly inform Dumbledore of this news."
Kyle blinked.
How did Harry's description of this process sound a bit familiar... Oh, right, when Hagrid was cooking the Cauldron Soup, it was similar... Putting various different claws and meat bones into the pot to cook, and finally adding the main dish.
Could it be that Voldemort learned this method from Hagrid? Kyle shook his head, trying to shake off this absurd thought and image.
"I'm not joking."
Seeing that Kyle was taking too long, Harry said anxiously, "Voldemort has truly resurrected, and we must quickly inform Professor Dumbledore of this news..."
"Relax, Harry, of course, I believe you." Kyle said, "Remember? I saw him too, and Professor Dumbledore already knows.
"He's up there fighting Voldemort right now, and we were sent down by him."
"Was that really Professor Dumbledore earlier?" Harry asked in a low voice.
"Of course, otherwise, why do you think we could chat for so long?"
"That's good... That's good..." Harry seemed to have breathed a sigh of relief, his legs went soft, and he sat back down on the ground.
