Chapter 570: The Cosmic Heart AI
Chapter 570: The Cosmic Heart AI
"Where's the AI?" Qin Muye looked at the disc in his hand, feeling a bit bewildered for a moment.
This disc was the result of the fusion of the Staff of Life, the Eternal Book, and the Galactic Cube. Ignoring how these three items could fuse into a disc that seemed unrelated to them, it appeared that this thing had become almost useless.
Qin Muye had thought it would grant some kind of legacy, but it didn't.
"It seems I can only use it in the Altar Temple." Qin Muye pondered this matter.
Currently, he was using the Stellar Array, the Magic Web, and various other methods to try and crack the Altar Temple without a secret key, but the results were not very promising. There had been some progress, but it was all in a folded state, with no other significant progress.
Moreover, this folded state was incomplete, which left Qin Muye somewhat helpless. To achieve a complete folded state, he needed to activate it.
He still didn't know what the Altar Temple was for.
Using the secret key disc to activate it seemed too hasty.
"From the various data on the secret key disc, it appears that the original functions of the three supreme treasures have been completely sealed, and there's no way to force it open."
Sealing it was not the same as destroying it; it could only be restored under specific conditions.
"Time is running out."
Qin Muye estimated that he wouldn't be able to completely crack the secret key disc and the Altar Temple before the Star Deity Catastrophe, unless he entered a dungeon.
However, entering a dungeon also carried risks. If he encountered a temporary skill that was a disaster, he would be in trouble. In the multiple times he had entered dungeons, he had only once obtained a good skill while playing a supporting character, while as the main character, he mostly got bad skills.
His intuition told him that there was some great secret within this thing. Although his sudden intuitions often faltered in major matters, it was clear that neither the secret key disc nor the Altar Temple were significant enough to be considered major events, so his intuition still had some value.
Thus, he was faced with a choice: trust his intuition or be more cautious.
This left him very conflicted.
"From what I can see, the Altar Temple's greatest advantage is its folded state. Once it enters the Endless Abyss, it has already been cracked. If the other side wants to unfold it again, they won't have such a good opportunity."
"Other weapons or items, based on the partial information I have, can't be instantly activated due to energy issues."
Qin Muye assessed the risks. He was inclined to believe that if he opened the Altar Temple, he might find new ways to deal with the Cosmic Will, and using a secret key would definitely yield a more complete result than if he cracked it himself.
This would provide new insurance, making his plan to usurp the nest smoother and even allowing him to gather more intelligence.
However, there were also risks, such as the Altar Temple not cooperating, which would be the biggest risk. If it acted, Qin Muye wasn't afraid. With the Hand of Silence, he could cut off the energy supply, even to the folded state.
The risks and benefits kept flashing in his mind, but ultimately, the benefits won out.
"Let's do it. It's not worth going into a dungeon just for this."
It wasn't a desperate situation yet, so he wouldn't enter a dungeon. Although he had two random dungeon scrolls, they were for turning the tide. Since he was currently in a favorable position, he couldn't risk it for such a minor issue.
Other lords entered dungeons for rewards, but Qin Muye entered dungeons to destroy worlds and servers.
With the secret key disc in hand, he entered the Altar Temple. There were no unusual phenomena or overwhelming pressure.
Nothing out of the ordinary happened. Qin Muye wandered around and came to the center of the Altar Temple, where there was a circular hole. He had noticed it before and confirmed that it was the slot for the secret key.
He inserted the secret key, and the entire Altar Temple came to life. All the power rooms immediately activated, and all the devices began to operate. The once simple Altar Temple instantly took on a sci-fi flair.
"Hello, guest from an unknown civilization." A mechanical, cold voice echoed, devoid of any emotion, with no female projection or cute avatar appearing.
"Hello, let's talk. What's going on?" Qin Muye said leisurely.
Qin Muye was still in the process of cracking the AI's specific responsibilities and capabilities.
"I am the Cosmic Heart AI of the GROX Empire, tasked with suppressing the Cosmic Will and guiding the future survivors," the AI responded immediately.
"Permissions? How do I obtain the highest level of permissions or who possesses them?" Qin Muye asked the critical question.
"There are no permission levels," the AI replied, continuing, "I have already left the main universe and cannot receive signals from the Cosmic Cage."
"The Cosmic Will has already escaped, and it seems you are unaware. The three devices that formed the secret key were the three pillars that suppressed the Cosmic Will. Your awakening indicates that these three pillars have been recovered and formed the secret key," Qin Muye was a bit puzzled, thinking the AI seemed to know very little.
"I am not aware of these details. This means the main universe has been destroyed, and you are a survivor of a fallen civilization," the AI quickly followed Qin Muye's logic.
Clearly, the AI believed Qin Muye had no chance of winning against the Cosmic Will.
"Exactly, now we are hiding in a secondary dimension, barely surviving, and at any moment, we could be annihilated," Qin Muye saw the AI's logic and readily accepted it, rather than revealing the truth.
"Based on my analysis, the environment in this secondary dimension is extremely harsh. If an S-class life form leaves the sanctuary, it could cause severe mutations."
"The technology of the GROX Empire cannot solve the environmental issues; you will have to find a solution yourself."
The AI's tone remained calm, even in such a dire situation, it maintained a professional demeanor.
Qin Muye felt the AI might be a bit dim-witted.
"I am bound by my base logic, solely responsible for suppressing the Cosmic Will and guiding the reconstruction of post-disaster civilizations. I do not have additional permissions, so I can only transmit the knowledge of the GROX Empire to you for you to learn on your own."
The AI's words made Qin Muye somewhat suspicious. Was this thing up to something?
"Can you provide some intelligence on the GROX Empire?" Qin Muye asked the critical question.
"Sorry, the database does not contain the corresponding information," the AI's response surprised Qin Muye.
"That's not right. You just said the GROX Empire's technology couldn't solve the environmental issues, so how can there be no corresponding information?" Qin Muye immediately challenged the AI.
"I am the Cosmic Heart AI of the GROX Empire, tasked with suppressing the Cosmic Will and guiding future survivors," the AI repeated.
Clearly, it was reciting its production number.
Qin Muye was pondering whether the AI was truly rigid or intentionally playing mind games. Given that it was from the GROX Empire, who knew how advanced its intelligence was.
However, Qin Muye thought that once he obtained the knowledge of the GROX Empire, he would dismantle the entire Altar Temple, and then the AI, no matter how advanced, would be powerless.
"Alright, please transmit the knowledge of the GROX Empire to me. I want it all," Qin Muye said.
"Request approved. Initiating mental frequency transmission. Note that if your brain capacity is insufficient, I will forcibly stop the transmission," the AI stated formally, and a vast amount of knowledge began to flood in.
However, the knowledge was not directly accepted by Qin Muye. Instead, it was intercepted by the Magic Web, screened, and then entered his mind.
As Qin Muye received and processed the knowledge, the mysteries of the Altar Temple, which were initially locked by advanced technology, began to unravel bit by bit.
"Your body, belongs to me... wait, what are you?!" a terrified voice exclaimed.
Qin Muye replied leisurely, "I'm not sure. In terms of species, I don't know which category I should be classified under."
He reached into his body and pulled out a stream of data, immediately extracting all the data from the AI's mind and forming a new document.
As for the AI, which had become a data stream and was attempting to possess him, Qin Muye casually placed it in a container for further study.
"I knew it, this thing is no good. It's trying to play me. It should know that only the strongest survive in the Endless Abyss."
