Chapter 57: Sasuke, This Is Absolute Justice
Inside the Root Base, a Root ninja knelt halfway, reporting to Shimura Danzō about the day’s developments.
“Lord Danzō, as per your orders, Root and the Shimura clan have successfully fueled the negative public opinion surrounding the Uchiha clan throughout Leaf Village.”
“Now, the hostile sentiment against the Uchiha family has spread uncontrollably—reaching a point where even the Hokage’s intervention may no longer suffice.”
“Lord Danzō… your goal has been achieved.”
Hearing this, Danzō’s usually stormy face—dark with perpetual malice—finally cracked into a thin, satisfied smirk.
Danzō harbored equal hatred for every Uchiha born with innate evil.
Including Uchiha Iizumi.
Including Uchiha Fugaku.
Including Uchiha Itachi…
To Danzō, any threat to the Uchiha clan was an opportunity to strike from the shadows—never to support them, but to push them down, twist the knife, and revel in their downfall.
“Will the future killer of the entire Uchiha clan… truly be Itachi?” Danzō’s eyes narrowed slightly. “He is indeed a rare anomaly among them. Precisely because of that, I must ensure he stands utterly isolated from his own people—cut off, despised, and condemned by them.”
Danzō longed for Itachi’s “Future Evil” to manifest early.
He’d even celebrate if tonight became the Night of the Massacre.
But then—
“Uchiha Iizumi… his eyes…” Danzō clenched his fists. His smirk vanished. His expression turned grim, flickering with unease. “Could he truly have awakened the legendary eyes—identical to Shisui’s? Yet his abilities… they don’t match Shisui’s at all.”
The thought chilled him.
That Uchiha Iizumi could see both the past and future evil within a person—was unnerving beyond measure.
It meant that, in Iizumi’s eyes, no secret could remain hidden. He alone would possess the most complete intelligence network in the entire Ninja World.
Yet compared to Shisui’s “Kotoamatsukami,” Iizumi’s Sharingan seemed… less formidable.
Danzō felt a flicker of unease—yes, but not fear.
Still, a strange thought took root in the darkness of his mind:
Letting a naturally evil Uchiha child wield such power… it’s always unsettling.
…
On a quiet street in Leaf Village, a “civilian” was spinning a tale with dramatic flair.
“I’m telling you—right now, the Uchiha clan must be drowning in blood! That Itachi’s clearly insane! All Uchiha are mentally unstable—he’s gone completely berserk!”
His audience listened, wide-eyed, as he added more embellishments with every breath.
Then, a voice cut through the air.
“…You said the Uchiha were wiped out by Itachi. Then… who’s standing behind you?”
The man froze.
He turned—just in time to see the face of Uchiha Iizumi.
His blood turned to ice. A cold sweat burst across his back. His pupils contracted.
Uchiha Iizumi.
The name roared through his mind.
“Yoneda Kei’ya,” came the calm, deliberate voice from behind him.
Yoneda Kei’ya—elite Root ninja—nearly stopped breathing.
Before he could react, Iizumi’s voice continued, cold and precise:
“Six months ago: smuggling and distributing large quantities of banned addictive drugs for Root—extremely heinous acts.”
“Two years ago: assassinated a Leaf ninja who dared to impeach Danzō, and murdered his wife and daughter—then erased all traces.”
“Five years ago…”
Each sentence struck like a blade.
Yoneda’s eyes widened in horror.
The rumors… were true!
Uchiha Iizumi’s eyes—his cursed Sharingan—could see a person’s past evil!
And now, his identity was exposed!
“He’s a Root ninja?!” Izumi gasped, staring at Yoneda in shock.
She couldn’t help but feel that Root ninjas were never anything but scum in Iizumi’s eyes.
Yoneda knew he was done for.
His fingers twitched—tiny, writhing insects began to crawl from beneath his skin.
The real civilians nearby sensed the danger.
They scrambled back, fleeing the scene—wanting nothing to do with the Investigation Corps’ so-called “plague-bringer.”
At the back, Sasuke felt the tension spike.
He watched Yoneda Kei’ya, tense and trembling.
He turned to Izumi. “Is he the criminal?”
Izumi kept her eyes locked on Yoneda, subtly shielding Sasuke behind her.
“Uchiha Iizumi says he’s guilty. And he is—worse than guilty. A monster.”
Sasuke was stunned.
Why did she trust this man—Uchiha Iizumi—so completely?
But he understood: something was about to happen.
A capture.
A reckoning.
He stared at Iizumi’s back.
He wanted to see—once and for all—what kind of power this man, the one who once tried to kill his brother, had that even his mother and brother had warned him to stay away.
“Yoneda Kei’ya,” Iizumi said, stepping forward, “your evil is so thick it makes me sick.”
Each step forward forced Yoneda to retreat.
“I condemn you today… in the name of Absolute Justice.”
The moment the words left his mouth—
Yoneda knew he had no choice.
He struck first.
He knew Iizumi was strong—Danzō himself had failed to subdue him.
To escape, he had to act before he was trapped.
“Secret Technique: Corrosive Insects!!”
Hundreds, then thousands of black insects erupted from his hands—swarming like a living shadow, rushing toward Iizumi in a deadly wave.
But—
Even as the insects surged, Iizumi was already faster.
The moment he saw the red square hovering above Yoneda’s head—
He was already dead in Iizumi’s eyes.
“Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!”
A massive fireball erupted from Iizumi’s mouth just as the swarm closed in.
At the same time, he formed a seal.
“Molten Release Chakra Body.”
His skin shimmered—lava flowing beneath the surface as he plunged straight into the inferno and the insect storm.
The Great Fireball did nothing to him.
The insects—before they even touched him—were vaporized by the searing heat.
Yoneda’s eyes widened in horror.
Before he could react—
A crimson hellhound, forged entirely from molten rock, tore through the air and slammed into him.
Boom!
Half his skull vanished.
…
Sasuke stood frozen at the back, mouth agape.
He’d expected Iizumi to arrest the man.
He hadn’t expected violence.
He hadn’t expected death.
“Izumi-san,” Izumi whispered beside him, “this is what my predecessor believes in—Absolute Justice.”
“Every evil in the Ninja World… must be purged with finality.”
…
…
