The sound of footsteps, unremarkable to most, struck Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura like the march of the Grim Reaper, filling them with dread. The three young ninjas, newly minted and inexperienced, felt their bodies tense up.
Before them stood Yuiyi Xuan Yue, no longer in his Impure World Reincarnation state but truly resurrected. The aura he exuded from countless battles was overwhelming, causing their limbs to tremble.
Much like the feeling their teacher, Kakashi, once experienced.
Back then, even as an experienced jonin, Kakashi had been frozen in place by Orochimaru's mere gaze when he encountered the renegade ninja during his escape. Kakashi had been unable to move or act against him.

Seeing Sasuke's fixation on the mysterious individual and hearing Naruto's story, Sakura's keen mind pieced things together.
"Sasuke, that person is probably Yuiyi Xuan Yue, who has been dead for many years but has somehow returned to the present using a jutsu!" Sakura explained to Sasuke urgently.
Sasuke's head snapped up. "Yuiyi Xuan Yue?!"
Sakura pushed Naruto's head away and continued to face Sasuke, proceeding to introduce information about Yuyi Xuan Yue as per the books she had read.
Sasuke listened intently, his eyes sparkling with growing interest.
When Sakura finished, Sasuke, out of their line of sight, clenched his fists and looked around cautiously. "Let's take a break here and get something to eat," he suggested.
"But..." Sakura still felt a bit apprehensive.
"Don't worry," Sasuke reassured them. "If someone like him let us off earlier, he won't do anything to us."
Naruto rubbed his empty stomach.
Hungrier than ever after the scare, he proudly patted his chest and said, "Don't worry, Sakura! Next time, I won't be as reckless as I was just now!"
With two votes in favor, Sakura had no choice but to agree.
Soon, the trio found an eatery and ordered some food.
During the meal, Sakura excused herself to use the restroom. When she returned, she noticed that only Naruto was at the table.
"Where's Sasuke?" Sakura asked.
"He went to the bathroom just now," Naruto replied casually.
'He went to the bathroom?' Sakura's eyes narrowed slightly as a flicker of doubt crossed her mind.
The restrooms were right next to each other, so if Sasuke had gone, she would have seen him when she returned.
Perhaps he went earlier? Sakura sat down, her thoughts racing as she waited quietly.
Ten minutes passed.
All the dishes they ordered had been served, but Sasuke was still nowhere to be seen.
"That Sasuke must be having diarrhea or something," Naruto muttered, his hand repeatedly reaching for the chopsticks only to be slapped by Sakura each time.
Sensing that something was amiss, Sakura finally said to Naruto, "Go check on Sasuke in the bathroom."
"Huh? The bathroom?"
Although he was reluctant, Naruto got up and did as Sakura asked.
He returned shortly and complained, "Sasuke's not in there. He must have gone to use the bathroom somewhere else."
"No, that's not it!"
Sakura slammed her palm on the table and stood up abruptly.
Naruto jumped in surprise. "Sakura, are you okay?"
"There's something wrong with Sasuke!" Sakura said gravely.
Sasuke's series of subtle expression changes flashed through her mind.
As if she had figured something out, Sakura grabbed Naruto's hand and started running, calling out, "Naruto! Let's go find Sasuke!"
"Sasuke's a big guy, wait up! We haven't paid the bill yet!"
In the end, Naruto had no choice but to leave his unfinished meal and pay the bill before rushing off with Sakura to search for Sasuke, who had disappeared some time ago.
"Where do we even start looking in such a big place?"
Naruto looked around, feeling lost in this unfamiliar area.
Sakura pointed in the direction where Yuyi Xuan Yue had left, her voice steady as she said, "Over there!"
Naruto and Sakura began their search for Sasuke, scouring the streets.
As the person in question, Sasuke had indeed slipped away from the eatery as Sakura suspected, and he was now sprinting in the direction Yuyi Xuan Yue had taken.

On a busy street, in front of a small food stall selling takoyaki, he spotted his target.
"Huh?"
Yuyi Xuan Yue, who was in the midst of receiving a freshly cooked batch of takoyaki, turned his head toward the newcomer, a hint of surprise registering on his face.
"Uchiha Sasuke, huh? Now this is interesting."
