Chapter 554: Arrival at Skrul Star
Chapter 554: Arrival at Skrul Star
In the capital of Huaxia, in the villa of Donna, the Game Inspector of the Singer Civilization, Donna yawned and, with sleepy eyes, led Su Yu down to the basement.
As they walked, she rubbed her eyes and asked, "Su Yu, are you sure you want to go to Skrul Star alone? The spatial teleportation device can only be used once every month, so you need to think this through."
Donna had been rudely awakened from her sleep, which made her quite irritable. However, she didn’t kick Su Yu out immediately, remembering that the Dean held him in high regard.
"I’ve thought it through, Senior. I’ll go alone," Su Yu replied promptly.
The last time Su Yu returned from Skrul Star, he had considered bringing a few Great Cultivators at the Soul Division stage with him. However, he realized that there were still many psychic springs on Earth’s surface. These Great Cultivators could stay on Earth to attack the psychic springs, which would be safer and more profitable. There was no need to risk going to Skrul Star, at least not this time.
So, Su Yu decided to go alone.
"Alright, as long as you’ve thought it through. I’ll activate the teleportation device now," Donna said with a dismissive tone as she cast a spell to activate the device.
She just wanted to get Su Yu out of her hair so she could go back to bed.
The black, massive teleportation device glowed with a faint, pale purple light.
Su Yu glanced at the pale purple glow, slightly lost in thought. Suddenly, he seemed to remember something.
He took out a "100" credit token from his necklace and offered it to Donna with a ingratiating smile, "Thank you, Senior, for activating the teleportation device for me! This is a small token of my appreciation, I hope you’ll accept it!"
"Uh, I can’t accept that," Donna was taken aback when she saw the token in Su Yu’s hand. She took a step back, refusing to take it.
"Please, just take it," Su Yu insisted, moving the token closer.
"I really can’t accept it," Donna’s expression turned serious. She crossed her arms and said, "Even though I’m on Earth now, accepting your credits will definitely be noticed by ‘Cantus.’ I’ll be in trouble then!"
"Cantus?" Su Yu looked at Donna, this was the first time he had heard the term.
"Yes, Cantus is the super AI that controls the entire Silver Federation. Every citizen’s actions are under her control. Never mind, you wouldn’t understand anyway."
Donna’s tone was a bit fearful, and she didn’t intend to delve deeper into the topic.
Su Yu didn’t press further.
He glanced around, then asked, "Senior, can I ask you a question? Consider this 100 credits as payment for the question, okay?"
"That’s fine," Donna smoothed her hair, breathing a sigh of relief as she looked at Su Yu. "But questions have value too. A simple one would only cost a few credits, not 100."
"Don’t worry, Senior, I have a more challenging one."
Su Yu looked at Donna seriously, "Senior, my question is—do you think, from your perspective, we can win the war against Skrul Star? And how can we win?"
"That’s a tough one," Donna said, taking the credit token from Su Yu as she thought.
She slowly answered, "This question is worth 100 credits, so I’ll answer it, Junior. From my perspective, you have a chance to win this war, but there’s only one way to ensure victory—increasing the number of sixth-stage and, especially, god-level experts!"
"Increasing the number of experts..." Su Yu nodded thoughtfully.
The spatial teleportation device was about to activate, and the black machine emitted a deafening hum.
But Donna seemed oblivious to the noise, staring at Su Yu intently as she continued, "From my perspective, you have a chance to win this war. The key is to increase the number of sixth-stage and, especially, god-level experts!"
"Thank you, Senior," Su Yu nodded, deeply considering her words.
"Indeed," Donna said seriously. "The number of strong individuals is crucial in any civilization. If the number of high-level experts on Earth reaches 70% of the Skrulls' and the quality is about the same, even if you lose the war, humanity won't be wiped out."
"Is that so?" Su Yu nodded solemnly, lost in thought.
At that moment, the spatial teleportation device finished its activation, and a rift had been generated.
Donna had initially planned to push Su Yu through directly, but after a moment's consideration, she added, "Ke Xin, when it comes to increasing the number of strong individuals, I can offer you some advice."
"I'm all ears."
Donna stroked the black machine beside her and said calmly, "Unless absolutely necessary, I suggest you minimize your trips to Skrul. Each visit costs you seven days of game time. The last time, you wasted ten days. Frequent visits will severely impact your realm and level during the final battle, making it a poor trade-off."
"Thank you for the advice, Senior," Su Yu replied sincerely.
Donna was right. The more trips he made to Skrul, the more game time he wasted. Although he had a clone at home, it couldn't help him train, which significantly slowed his progress.
For example, if he made four trips to Skrul, he would waste over a month. Instead of reaching the peak of the Divine Realm, he would only be at the initial stage, creating a threefold difference in strength.
So, unless it was absolutely necessary, he would have others handle the Skrul missions.
"No problem. I did accept your credits, after all. Now go, and have a pleasant journey!" Donna smiled and pressed the activation button on the teleportation device.
Su Yu spent a long time in the twisting, light-distorted teleportation tunnel.
Finally, his surroundings brightened, and the distorted light vanished. He had been teleported to Skrul.
This time, unlike his previous visit when the intense spatial distortion had caused him to pass out, his enhanced strength allowed him to only feel a slight discomfort without losing consciousness.
He had also managed to suppress the spatial fluctuations caused by the teleportation, ensuring the Skrulls wouldn't detect his arrival.
Upon reaching his destination, Su Yu first observed his surroundings.
He found himself floating in mid-air above an endless expanse of deep blue ocean. Looking around, he saw no signs of any continents or islands.
Additionally, the sky was not the light purple color characteristic of the Lunkte Alliance, indicating he was far from their territory.
At that moment, the cat Chenxing jumped out of the pet space, landed on his shoulder, and poked his face with her whiskers. "Are we there yet?"
"Yes, we've arrived on Skrul," Su Yu nodded, petting Chenxing's head. "Chenxing, can you check where we are now?"
"Sure." Chenxing nodded and pulled out her prepped smartphone from her storage space, connecting to the internet to search.
