Chapter 551: Supporting the Rebellion
Chapter 551: Supporting the Rebellion
The scene shifts back to Su Yu.
Su Yu is currently flying over the vast sea northeast of Busan City, heading to meet up with the other Great Cultivators.
Thanks to the meticulous care of his feline companion, Morning Star, his injuries have mostly healed.
However, because he was still recovering from his severe wounds, he sent Morning Star ahead to join the Great Cultivators while he flew slowly behind.
As he flew, Su Yu reflected on the lessons and experiences gained from the recent battle.
Being at a disadvantage isn't the end of the world; what matters is learning from the experience. Only then can the suffering be considered worthwhile.
This battle taught Su Yu a lot.
Firstly, he realized he couldn't underestimate the Skrulls' determination to kill him. The highly resistant, continuously teleporting units they deployed were truly terrifying, and he had almost been wiped out before he could even get started.
Moreover, such attacks would likely continue in the future. He needed to find more ways to enhance his survival skills within the game to protect himself.
Secondly, the high-tier units he had exchanged for at the camp were incredibly powerful.
Despite being only at the beginning of the fifth rank on average, they managed to inflict a nearly 1:1 casualty ratio against the Skrulls' peak fifth-rank monsters!
Of course, this was partly due to Zhong Feng's expert command and the fact that his units had an attribute advantage over the monsters.
But the 20,000 tons of gold spent were well worth it, and he could use more high-tier units to strengthen Blue Star in the future.
Lastly, one thing Blue Star could improve on was the number of high-tier units they had exchanged for.
If they had been able to summon 4,000 to 5,000 high-tier units earlier, they might have won the battle without resorting to nuclear weapons.
As Su Yu was lost in thought, he arrived at the rear of the defensive line formed by the Great Cultivators.
Currently, the Great Cultivators were using their various techniques to construct a psychic energy barrier, intercepting the chaotic and violent psychic energy coming from the front.
Seeing Su Yu arrive, the Great Cultivators greeted him warmly:
"Su Yu, are you alright?"
"Have your injuries fully recovered?"
Su Yu bowed and replied, "Thank you for your concern, seniors. My injuries have mostly healed. How about you? Did you manage to intercept the shockwave?"
"Don't worry, we've got it covered!" Emperor Liu Che extended his hand and cast a few stabilizing spells, smiling at him. "The energy barrier is constructed perfectly and can block 99% of the shockwave."
"Good to hear that," Su Yu said, feeling relieved.
"There's one more thing," Emperor Liu Che added. "Tina Garcia and your feline companion are currently gathering the residual psychic energy from the dead monsters at the front. Once they return, you can attempt to break through to the next realm. For now, you should focus on adjusting your state."
"Understood," Su Yu replied.
Indeed, it was time for him to break through to the next realm.
Dona's space-time teleportation device had finished cooling down. After breaking through, he could travel to Skrul to exact his revenge.
The Skrulls had killed millions of humans this time; it was time for them to pay in blood!
Su Yu thought to himself, "Emperor Manina XIII has been quite arrogant lately. Maybe I should find an opportunity to assassinate him when I visit Skrul next time?"
Su Yu fell into deep contemplation.
Meanwhile, on Skrul.
Emperor Manina XIII, seated on his throne and listening to a report from Ranz, suddenly felt a chill down his spine.
He turned to look behind him but saw nothing.
Ranz noticed the emperor's unease and asked quietly, "Your Majesty, is something wrong?"
"Nothing," Manina XIII replied.
"Manina replied, 'Lance, please continue.'"
"Of course, Your Majesty," Lance steadied himself and continued his report. "After this battle, the entire monster army has been decimated. Moving forward, we must address three critical issues that require Your Majesty's decision."
"Oh, what issues?" Manina XIII looked at Lance.
"The first issue concerns Su Yu," Lance said with a serious expression. "Following this campaign, our offensive against Blue Star will enter a 'vacuum period.' It will be difficult for us to launch large-scale attacks for the next two months."
"During this time, Su Yu is likely to come to our planet and cause trouble. We must be on high alert."
Manina XIII leaned back in his throne, silent for a long time.
After about a minute, he nodded. "Understood. What's the second issue?"
"The second issue is about the sixth-rank cultivators on Blue Star," Lance said earnestly. "This time, 21 people on Blue Star have recovered to the sixth rank. Sixth-rank and above will pose a significant threat to our bases on the smaller psychic springs."
"I estimate that in the near future, the high-rank cultivators on Blue Star will join forces to attack our smaller bases. This will significantly reduce our territory on Blue Star."
"If we want to create another monster army, the scale will likely not be as large as this time, possibly dropping below 2000."
Manina XIII's left hand rested on the armrest of his throne, tapping his finger rhythmically, his expression unchanged. "Understood. What about the third issue?"
Lance glanced at the emperor, wondering what was on his mind. These two issues were indeed critical.
But he quickly lowered his head and said in a low voice, "The third issue is that Blue Star humans will likely devote all their efforts to mining gold."
"Based on Blue Star's gold reserves, they could potentially exchange for 9000, or even 15000, fifth-rank troops! This is a force we cannot ignore, and we must find a way to counter it."
"Umm," Manina XIII nodded, his expression unchanged. "Is that all?"
"That's all," Lance replied.
He was completely at a loss, wondering what the emperor was thinking.
"Haha!" Manina XIII laughed, a laugh tinged with disdain.
After the laughter, he said seriously, "Lance, the three issues you mentioned don't actually exist."
"???" Lance was puzzled. How could they not exist?
"You see, these three issues have a common premise."
"A premise?"
"Yes," Manina XIII explained. "The premise is that the humans on Blue Star are united, with no one undermining their efforts from behind, and no one inciting large-scale rebellions. Only then would they have the energy to deal with these issues."
"Oh!" Lance's eyes lit up as he instantly understood. "You mean we should cause internal strife on Blue Star? Support rebels?"
"Exactly," Manina XIII said confidently. "I love the saying among Blue Star humans—'The strongest fortresses are often breached from within.'"
"If we support a large number of rebel groups and divide the Blue Star humans, do you think they will be able to organize large-scale gold mining projects? Do you think Su Yu will have the energy to come and cause trouble here?"
Lance immediately nodded. "Your Majesty, you are absolutely right. I know what to do now!"
