Chapter 551: Kuro Will Be Angry
Chapter 551: Kuro Will Be Angry
"Yup, then let's—"
Luffy raised his thumb and shouted, "Third Gear!"
His arm expanded into colossal size in an instant.
Luffy drew his arm back, shattering the wall behind him, then thrust it forward with explosive force.
"Giant Pistol!"
The fist's massive size didn't slow its speed at all. Soon, a punch even larger than Klah's five-meter-tall werewolf form barreled toward them.
This fist nearly filled the entire corridor.
No chance to dodge.
Klah didn't even try.
His entire body tensed as he raised both claws in a palm strike, directly meeting the giant fist head-on.
Boom!
A shockwave erupted around Klah as he pushed against the colossal punch. His blue-veined arms strained like they were lifting a mountain, then suddenly surged upward, flipping the massive fist skyward. It crashed through the base's ceiling.
"Your strength is impressive, but Superspeed Shave!"
The fist's upward trajectory created an opening in Luffy's defense. Klah's body flickered like a wisp of black light, dashing straight toward Luffy's bicep—the part still at normal human size.
"Cutting Hand Blade!"
Klah's wolf claws glowed with pale blue slashes, cleaving downward.
Clang!
A jet-black Armament Haki barrier materialized on Luffy's arm, blocking Klah's strike.
Yet blood still seeped from the limb.
Klah's claws were stained pitch-black.
"That hurt, you bastard! Jet Pistol!"
Whoosh!
A steam-billowing fist coated in Armament Haki rocketed forward.
Crunch!
In that instant, Klah's wolf head lunged, jaws wide open. His teeth darkened with Haki as he bit down hard on the fist.
"I've already told you—your moves—"
Klah's razor-sharp fangs gnashed madly against the fist. As Luffy grimaced in pain, the Haki-infused punch steadily leaked blood.
Luffy, stung by the bite, lashed out with a whip-like leg sweep.
Predictably, Klah anticipated it. His foot-claws lifted, then stomped down hard as the leg approached, piercing Luffy's limb and pinning it to the ground.
"I've got you figured out completely!"
With a violent headshake, Klah spat the fist aside. His other claw shot upward, seizing Luffy's wrists. His jaws stretched wide.
"Wolf Dash Cannon!"
Boom!!
A concentrated blast of energy erupted from his mouth, slamming into Luffy's chest. The impact drove Luffy backward through multiple walls, transforming the once-shadowy base corridor into a battlefield of rubble.
Klah's tail lashed as he crouched low, beastly eyes locked on the smoke and dust ahead. A malevolent grin spread across his muzzle. "Luffy, you've lost!"
As the smoke cleared, Luffy's battered form knelt on metal and stone, panting heavily.
The Haki on his chest faded as he gasped, "You really hurt, you know! Shouldn't Zoan types be strongest in hybrid form? Like that leopard guy at Enies Lobby? Chopper's strongest in beast form too!"
Though Haki blocked the attack, Luffy looked disheveled.
Compared to Klah's sleek, unscathed fur, they were like two different creatures.
"That's for ordinary Zoans", Klah said confidently. "I'm an ancient type. While regular Zoans have human, hybrid, and beast forms, mine are human, human-beast, and hybrid. My human-beast form rivals a Zoan's hybrid, and my true hybrid form is my complete form! You'll never leave this island, Luffy!"
"I'll definitely sail again!"
Luffy stood, shouting, "If you insist on blocking my path, I'll defeat you first!"
"Hmph, stop bragging. Why come here to fight?"
Klah sneered, "When Silvers Rayleigh blocked me, you could've just taken another ship. Haven't you learned your lesson from two years ago? Think the Navy fears you just because your bounty's high?"
"Shut up! I'll never abandon my crew!"
Luffy inhaled deeply. "Sunny is our crewmate. He inherited Merry's will and will sail with us forever!"
"Merry?"
Klah narrowed his eyes. "Ah, Koza mentioned that ship you had. The one that saved you at Enies Lobby, right? Pirates are pirates—can't even protect your own ship."
Since being forgiven by Koza and the butler, Klah had frequently returned to Syrobu Village. He'd heard many stories—like Koza's affection for Usopp, their promises, and the butler's complaints.
Klah didn't care. He'd only sought forgiveness and regained the village's respect.
After all, being in the Navy was far more useful than being a pirate.
Especially since only Koza, the butler, and a few children knew the truth about his past defeat.
"Koza? Syrobu?"
Luffy suddenly froze. "Ah! I remember now—you're that glasses guy from East Blue! The one who..."
"That's right!"
Klah grinned. "You remember now, don't you? The me you stopped has returned!"
"What was your name again?" Luffy tilted his head.
"Klah!!!"
With a furious roar, Klah charged.
"Got a great idea!" Luffy grinned, stretching his arm forward.
"Idiot! I've told you—your moves are predictable!"
Klah sidestepped the punch, smirking. "Don't think I'm an easy target just because I'm bigger! Your combat sense is weak. Haven't you learned your lesson yet? I'm disappointed, Luffy!"
"Heh!"
Missing with his fist, Luffy suddenly grinned. The stretched arm whipped like a lash toward Klah.
Smack!
Klah caught the arm mid-air, fingers tightening. "Don't want this anymore? I'll rip it off!"
"Not a chance!"
Luffy's arm, still gripped by Klah, coiled like a rope, binding Klah's thick limb.
Simultaneously, Luffy's other limbs stretched out, wrapping around Klah's limbs in a full-body hold.
"You said you understand my moves, but can you dodge this?" Luffy chuckled.
This binding technique was identical to the one that defeated Klah two years ago!
Klah's eyes burned with fury. "Using the same trick again? I still have my mouth!"
His jaws stretched wide as his chest inflated, expanding.
"At this close range, you're immobilized too, Luffy!"
"Don't underestimate me!"
Luffy's head stretched backward, extending beyond the rubble. He inhaled deeply.
"Third Gear!"
"Big Balloon!"
His head swelled to monstrous size.
Whoosh!!
The wind roared as Luffy's neck retracted, the giant head rocketing toward Klah.
"Rubber Rubber—"
"Six Styles!"
Klah's mouth glowed with pale blue slashes forming a shockwave.
His abilities hadn't reached Kuro Mr.'s level, nor did he possess Lida's talent. He hadn't mastered 'Instant Thousand Strikes' or 'Black Rope Heaven Flash,' but his improved version still packed a punch.
This attack would unleash both a powerful shockwave and countless slashes simultaneously—nearly as devastating as 'Instant Thousand Strikes.'
Luffy's rubber body was especially vulnerable to slashes.
"Sh*t, Luffy!"
Klah roared, preparing to release the technique.
Suddenly, the approaching giant head's eyes widened.
A strange aura enveloped Klah.
His body stiffened, muscles slackening slightly.
"Conqueror's Haki?!!" Sweat dripped from Klah's temple.
This momentary lapse allowed Luffy's head to strike.
His forehead, coated in Armament Haki, smashed into Klah's head during his stunned moment.
"Chime!!!"
Boom!!!
A bell-like resonance echoed through the ruins. Luffy released his hold, the giant head pressing tightly against Klah's forehead. The impact sent Klah's body reeling backward, his massive form sliding across the ground until crashing beside a ship.
His eyes rolled, teeth clenched, body trembling from the heavy blow.
Beside him stood the Thousand Sunny, moored peacefully.
"Ah! Sunny, long time no see!"
Luffy's head shrank back to normal size as he steadied himself, grinning at the ship docked at the port.
"Hey, Luffy!"
From beyond the rubble, voices grew louder.
Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook all rushed toward them.
"Everyone's here!"
Luffy bared his teeth, raising both fists. "Then let's set sail!"
"Seriously... What a mess."
A voice chimed from the side.
Everyone turned to see a young girl with her hands in her overalls pockets, a lollipop in her mouth, walking through the broken wall.
She glanced at Luffy's crew, then at the fallen werewolf. The lollipop shifted in her mouth as she kicked Klah.
"Hey, Klah. You okay?"
Kicked, Klah's body reverted to human form, his dazed eyes regaining slight clarity.
"Lida... Sorry, I failed." He gritted his teeth.
"Eh, doesn't matter. The problem now is this place's a wreck—both Shabondy and our base."
Lida surveyed the ruins, then sighed. "Kuro will be angry."
