Chapter 549: Palkia Under Attack, Rescued by Dialga and Mewtwo!
Chapter 549: Palkia Under Attack, Rescued by Dialga and Mewtwo!
Hmph! Finally, I'm free!
Palkia glared at the portal leading back to the real world. Damn that Giratina! How dare it trap me here. Just you wait, I won't let this slide!
Palkia turned its head, its gaze proud and defiant as it looked upon the humans and the Pokemon named Cyrus before it.
"Thanks for your help this time!"
Palkia's proud and rough voice resonated in Ash and the others' minds.
After a brief moment of surprise, Ash quickly realized, just like Cyrus, that this was telepathy!
"Just as Mr. Naoki said," Ash thought, scratching his head. "Don't worry about it. As long as you're okay, that's what matters," he said awkwardly.
"As long as you don't eat Meowth, it's all good!" Cyrus quickly added.
But Palkia didn't say another word. It turned its head toward the vortex and then twisted its massive body, flying toward it and breaking through, once again returning to the real world.
Gravity gradually changed, and Palkia's body transformed to adapt to the gravitational conditions of this world. Six sturdy legs extended from its body, and the pointed wings on its back converged into a pair of dark, vampiric bat-like wings.
"Boom!"
Accompanied by a dull sound, Palkia slowly descended onto the ground beside a lake.
"Finally, I've arrived in this world!" Palkia felt a surge of relief, and it stretched its body, adjusting to the gravity of this new environment.
High in the sky, misty clouds swirled as a massive spaceship rapidly parted them, revealing a whale-hunting fork-like mechanical device attached to the front of the ship.
The device emitted an eerie red glow, giving off an unnerving feeling.
The next second, the device was launched at incredible speed from the spaceship, and the air was filled with the sound of piercing cracks.
Hmm?
Palkia, on the ground, seemed to sense something and abruptly lifted its head, but the device was already upon it.
As the mechanical arms of the device neared, they automatically opened, shooting out beams of red light that formed a massive cage, trapping Palkia within.
What's going on?!
Palkia was both shocked and furious. It roared and attempted to break free with its immense strength.
Just then, Ash and his companions, who had been following close behind, emerged to witness this terrifying scene.
"What is that?!" Dawn furrowed her brow.
"Palkia is trapped!" Ash was stunned. "What's going on here...?"
"You won't escape me!" Jerro's face appeared on the spaceship, a confident smile on his lips. "I've been waiting a long time for this day!"
This spaceship and the device were specifically designed to capture Palkia.
Once Palkia entered the device, a program tailored to counter Palkia would automatically activate.
Even if Palkia possessed incredible powers, it would become as helpless as a roadside caterpillar, ripe for the taking!
"Infernape, initiate the replication of Palkia's abilities!" Jerro commanded.
"Acknowledged," replied a program named Infernape in a soft voice.
It entered the prepared settings into the computer. If all went well, the device would instantly release countless energy beams, beginning the process of extracting Palkia's energy until the Pokemon's life force was completely drained.
Jerro watched the struggling Palkia on the screen, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Program initiation: 1%...26%...67%...89%...100%. Program successfully initiated!" Infernape's voice sounded from the side.
On the screen, countless red beams of light shot out from the device, giving the impression of covering the sky and obscuring the sun.
"It won't be long now... He'll soon become the ruler of the Reverse World!" Jerro's eyes shone with excitement and fervor.
However, the next second, Infernape's voice suddenly sounded again.
"Alert! Alert! An unidentified creature is approaching at a speed of 15 Mach!"
Huh?!
Infernape immediately pulled up the footage for Jerro.
On the screen, a green line pierced through the clouds and sky, like a divine presence, as it descended with tremendous force.
Before Jerro could even make out what the creature was, the green beam of light collided with the device he had painstakingly developed.
A loud "boom" echoed as the mechanical arms of the device were instantly split in two, cleaved from the middle. The red light of the cage, now lacking its power source, flickered a couple of times before vanishing.
"Crack!"
The enraged Palkia tore the powerless cage to shreds in an instant.
But Jerro had no more attention to spare for such matters.
At that moment, Infernape automatically adjusted the direction of the spaceship's cameras and relayed the footage to the main control room's screen.
When Jerro saw the appearance of the unidentified creature, his eyes widened, and his face contorted with disbelief. He stood there, frozen, unable to tear his eyes away from the scene before him.
A mysterious, colossal black dragon Pokemon hovered in the air above the vast forest.
Its body was adorned with ancient golden patterns, and its golden irises radiated a captivating glow. Its massive form rivaled the size of the spaceship they were aboard.
"That is..." Jerro whispered, awe-struck.
"It's a legendary Pokemon, Rayquaza. In the ancient legends of the Hoenn region, it's also known as the Sky High God." Infey reported expressionlessly to her master about the Pokemon's intelligence.
"Zoom in on Rayquaza's head!" Jerro suddenly noticed a small black dot on the screen.
"Acknowledged."
Infey immediately zoomed in on the camera.
The next second, Jerro clearly saw the creature on Rayquaza's head.
It was a human, a tall figure with a Pokemon mask on his face and a red cape draped over his body.
And standing next to him was a mysterious Pokemon with pink fur and a long tail, resembling a human.
Infey automatically scanned the information of the mysterious man and the Pokemon, reporting:
"Report, the human is known as the Moto Mask, who once helped the Hoenn region avert a disaster caused by legendary Pokemon!"
"The Pokemon standing next to him is unknown, it seems to be a newly discovered Pokemon!"
"Hmph!" Jerro was shocked, but then his anger surged: "Damn! How dare they ruin my plans and destroy my painstakingly developed device! Unforgivable! Self-Destruct Magnemite army, attack! No matter if it's the Sky High God, it's just a Pokemon!"
Jerro's eyes turned red, and he seemed to have lost his sanity. He angrily pressed a red button on the main control panel.
The next second, the ship's side hatches automatically opened, and a swarm of Self-Destruct Magnemites and Magnemites flew out, their metallic bodies glinting in the light.
The countless Magnemites and Self-Destruct Magnemites resembled a dark cloud, blanketing the sky as they flew towards Rayquaza.
On the ground, Ash and his friends were also stunned by this sight.
"That swarm of Magnemite is going to clash with Rayquaza!" Brock anxiously looked up at the sky.
"What's going on here...?" Dawn's eyes were filled with worry.
Today had been eventful, with the appearance of Sheimi, the Reverse World, Giratina, and now even Rayquaza...
Ash clenched his fists, intently staring up at the sky.
However, what happened next surprised everyone. Even facing such a massive army of Magnemite, Rayquaza remained still.
Just then, a human-shaped figure flew out from Rayquaza's head, catching everyone's attention.
A faint blue aura surrounded the figure as it stood alone in front of the Magnemite army, its gaze calm and steady.
There was a legend that circulated in the city.
A single Magnemite was weak, but when their numbers grew, and they gathered together, their combined electric attacks could instantly destroy a city.
High in the sky, the Magnemite swarm's bodies crackled with electricity, forming a massive beam of energy that shot out with a thunderous roar!
"That Pokemon is...?!" Ash recognized the familiar figure, his mind flashing back to an encounter he had years ago at Clear Cliff.
A name surfaced in his mind.
"Mewtwo, that's right! It's Mewtwo!"
In an instant, the beam engulfed Mewtwo's body.
"How terrifying..." Dawn covered her mouth in shock.
But the next second, a powerful invisible force erupted from the sky, dispersing the electric attack, and sending the Magnemite army into a panic.
Faced with this overwhelming display of power, the Magnemite swarm scattered, their fearful cries filling the air as they fled in all directions.
"Wow, so strong!" Dawn exclaimed.
"Yeah, that's Mewtwo for you!" Ash knew that with Mewtwo's arrival, the situation was under control.
"Huh?" Hearing Ash's tone, Dawn asked curiously, "Do you know that Pokemon, Ash?"
Ash nodded, "Yes, it's called Mewtwo, a very special Pokemon."
Aboard the spaceship, Jerro was shocked as he witnessed the ship being destroyed by the unknown Pokemon.
What the...?
What was that Pokemon? Why was it so powerful?!
However, Infey's voice interrupted his thoughts once again.
"Alert! Alert! Giratina is about to attack the spaceship!"
Damn! With all the attention on Rayquaza and that human, I forgot about the escaped Giratina! Jerro panicked inwardly.
As expected, Giratina's figure appeared on the screen the next second.
Its massive body blocked all the cameras, and it unleashed an angry attack on the spaceship.
With a deafening explosion, the spaceship lost its balance, its engines destroyed. The ship fell like a kite with a broken string, plummeting towards the ground below.
Giratina's rage was far from satisfied, and it glared at the falling spaceship, opening its mouth to release a wave of malicious energy.
The overwhelming energy engulfed the spaceship, and as it fell, a massive explosion shook the forest, startling the countless Pokemon that lived there.
The ship began to burn, setting the forest ablaze.
"Oh no! The forest is on fire!" Dawn furrowed her brow and immediately released her Piplup from its Poke Ball, intending to have it use Water Gun to extinguish the flames.
However, the next second, she saw the Pokemon named Mewtwo move.
Its figure disappeared from where it stood and reappeared above the forest.
A faint blue energy rippled outwards in all directions.
Immediately after, the lake water seemed to be drawn by an invisible force, rushing towards the burning forest.
In an instant, the raging fire was extinguished, and thick smoke rose into the sky.
"Great!" Ash exclaimed, a smile spreading across his face.
"Pi-ka, Pi!" Pikachu nodded in agreement.
In mid-air, Mewtwo slowly returned to Naoki's side. Naoki nodded to it, and then, along with Mewtwo and Dialga, turned their gazes towards the belatedly arriving Giratina.
Giratina, who had been wreaking havoc in the chat group, felt both embarrassed and angry seeing its blunder witnessed by the other group members.
It had wanted to roar in defiance, but then it remembered that if it weren't for Naoki's timely arrival, it might have been outsmarted by that despicable human.
Naoki: "......I already told you not to come and to be careful."
Giratina was filled with shame and anger, its fury clouding its judgment. It blamed Dialga and Palkia for all of this! Giratina's resentment towards them deepened.
"Arrogant, rude, and reckless..." Naoki muttered, his words clearly directed at Giratina.
Giratina immediately understood that Naoki was describing it.
It felt a twinge of fear.
Indeed, that was it, and Naoki might not like it or want to be friends with it anymore. The thought of this possibility made Giratina's heart ache.
Its life had been dull and monotonous until Naoki came along and brought color and excitement.
Chatting with it, helping it plant fruit trees and flowers, creating suns, using its power to give massages, teaching it how to use the Rotom Phone to alleviate its boredom, and occasionally bringing it snacks and drinks...
Giratina had grown accustomed to having Naoki around.
It couldn't imagine life without him.
Giratina felt a pang of sadness, momentarily forgetting about Dialga and Palkia. The thought of Naoki possibly severing their friendship and never speaking to it again left it feeling lost and dejected.
However, it didn't want to show its emotions in front of Dialga and Mewtwo, so it put on a nonchalant facade, appearing unchanged at first glance.
Mewtwo and Dialga: Staring intently!
Giratina couldn't bear to stay any longer, so it twisted its massive body, preparing to return to the Reverse World and never come out again.
Naoki was taken aback by Giratina's sudden movement and interrupted what he had been about to say: "Where are you going?"
Giratina answered in a rough voice: "Back!"
Naoki: "......Then let's go together?"
Giratina's movement halted, and it turned its head, confusion evident in its eyes.
Seeing its expression, Naoki quickly understood the reason for Giratina's reaction.
It had misinterpreted the meaning of his previous words!
"I wasn't finished with what I was saying," Naoki continued, exasperated. "Although these traits may sound negative, perhaps they are what make Giratina who it is!"
Giratina didn't understand.
"It's nothing," Naoki sighed and looked down at Ash and the others below.
However, he didn't go down to join them. Instead, he said to Giratina, "Alright, it's over. Let's head back!"
Although Giratina didn't quite grasp the meaning of Naoki's words, it could sense that he had no intention of ending their friendship or being angry with it.
Giratina's metaphorical "Sunflora" bloomed in its heart, and it opened its mouth, releasing a whirlwind towards the sky that opened the portal to the Reverse World.
"Thanks for your help today, Dialga," Naoki said as he jumped onto Giratina's back.
Dialga, having served as a temporary Didi driver, gave a short call, indicating it was no big deal.
Seeing that Naoki was fine, Dialga twisted its massive body and soared into the clouds, heading towards the ozone layer in search of snacks.
Meanwhile, Naoki, along with Mewtwo and Giratina, entered the Reverse World and returned to the ranch.
At four in the evening, as the sun was about to set, Naoki drove his pickup truck back to the ranch with Golleton, just in time to hear Professor Oak's astonished exclamation.
"What?! Giratina was captured? Moto Mask showed up with Dialga and a Pokemon named Mewtwo to rescue it?!"
"Professor, what's going on?" Naoki asked as he walked into the house.
"An incredible discovery! Ash and his friends saw the legendary Pokemon Giratina and Dialga today, as well as an unknown Pokemon called Mewtwo."
"Wow! That's truly amazing. That Moto Mask managed to capture so many legendary Pokemon!"
Professor Oak couldn't help but daydream: "I wish I could meet that Moto Mask in person."
Upon hearing this, Naoki and Golleton shared a meaningful glance.
Golleton: "Ah ga si~"
Naoki smiled and said, "Maybe you'll get to meet him someday."
