Chapter 548: A Nap at the Leaky Cauldron (Second Update)
Chapter 548: A Nap at the Leaky Cauldron (Second Update)
One month after leaving the Mini World of Fairy Tail.
Jerry looked at the cooldown timer on the panel, hesitated for a moment, and finally pressed the button to enter the Harry Potter Mini World.
After crafting the new Golden Twelve Armors, his next steps were to study and master the essence of magic, further deepening his understanding. For now, there were no quick ways to boost his strength.
Studying and mastering the essence of magic, and achieving a higher level of enlightenment, were not tasks that could be completed in a short time. Expanding the ring world to evolve it into a true world also required gradual accumulation over time.
These goals could be pursued in any world.
He felt that some things, if left unresolved, would continue to weigh on his mind. It was time to settle them.
Moreover, he needed to find companions for Norbert and Nosa, the two dragons. They had been with him for so many years, and he had grown attached to them, even though they hadn't played a significant role.
With a spatial fluctuation, the scene in Jerry's eyes shifted, and he found himself back in the room at the Leaky Cauldron.
"Wow, how nostalgic!"
Seeing the room at the Leaky Cauldron, a sense of nostalgia washed over him, like returning to his high school after working for over a decade.
Upon reflection, it made sense. Since his last departure from this Mini World, he had indeed experienced many things and a considerable amount of time had passed.
He had spent time studying magic with the Ancient One at Kamar-Taj, visited the world of the Magical Girl, toured the various planets of the Milky Way, spent over a decade in the world of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, and finally ventured into the New World Fairy Tail.
If he added up all these times, it would amount to nearly twenty years.
Imagine leaving high school at sixteen or seventeen and returning for the first time at forty. That's how Jerry felt now.
The feeling wasn't particularly strong yet, but it would become more pronounced when he returned to Hogwarts in two months for the start of the school year and saw Hermione, Harry, and the others.
However, this wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Jerry found it quite interesting and was even looking forward to the start of the school year.
After being away for twenty years, returning to high school as a student, with knowledge far surpassing that of his teachers, seemed like a refreshing change.
Back then, his magic power was on par with Dumbledore's. Now, he was confident that even Dumbledore and Grindelwald combined would not be a match for him.
"The current date is June 17, 1994. The Quidditch final is on August 22, so I have over two months. I can use this time to collect all the Fantastic Beasts worth acquiring."
For him, the Quidditch match had no practical significance, so he planned to retire from his Quidditch career after this final.
In the past, he needed Galleons and fame because his strength was insufficient, and there were many things he couldn't achieve or obtain.
Now that he possessed the power to dominate this world, Galleons and fame were no longer as important. His current stay in this world was to gradually enhance his magic through time and to experience things he had neglected over the years.
During the past three years at Hogwarts, Jerry had mostly been buried in his studies, focusing on learning and finding ways to enhance his strength.
Now, perhaps he could try living the life of a true Hogwarts student.
In fact, this might not be such a bad thing.
Over the years, he had moved too quickly and too hastily. Spending some time to reflect and address some of his regrets, to perfect his spirit, might bring him unexpected benefits.
In myths and legends, cultivators who sought to break through to greater realms would spend time in the mortal world, honing their mindset, and then achieve a sudden enlightenment, greatly increasing their power.
Jerry felt that this wasn't just a fantasy. He seemed to be in a similar state now.
He had accumulated a vast amount of magical knowledge and learned numerous spells. His magic power was already terrifying and continued to grow rapidly each day.
However, he always felt that something was still missing.
If he could fill this gap, perhaps his strength would break through, entering a new realm.
As for what exactly was missing, he couldn't be certain, but he had a vague idea.
It was because of this idea that he didn't go to the Magical Girl world to find Clow Reed for further improvement, nor did he go to the New World Fairy Tail to learn more powerful Ultra Magic.
Instead, he chose to enter the Harry Potter world, which seemed to offer no significant benefit to his current magical abilities, and decided to continue his three years of study at Hogwarts.
"Well, let's go to bed then!"
Opening the window and looking out at the dark night of Diagon Alley, Jerry didn't enter the ring world to study magic or meditate. Instead, he simply lay down on the bed and gradually fell asleep.
Since learning the Meditation Technique and realizing it could replace sleep, he rarely slept. After gaining Eternal Life, he hadn't slept at all.
Today, for the first time in twenty years, he had a normal night's sleep.
Since he had decided to take a break, he might as well rest well. He would sleep like a normal person at night and do what he wanted during the day. Whenever he had some inspiration, he would study magic.
The night passed without incident. When the sunlight filtered through the Leaky Cauldron's room and shone on Jerry, he slowly opened his eyes and stretched luxuriously.
"Twenty years of my first normal sleep, it feels really great!"
At his current level, even a hundred years without sleep wouldn't affect his spirit, magic power, or physical well-being.
However, after this normal night's sleep, he felt particularly refreshed, even though his spirit, magic power, and physical state hadn't changed.
Still, he felt that some unknown change had occurred in some aspect of himself.
Getting up and using magic to tidy himself, Jerry put on his long-forgotten Hogwarts robes and hummed a cheerful tune as he descended to the ground floor.
"Long time no see, Tom. Give me a standard breakfast, please!"
"Sure, Mr. Carmen!"
Old Tom of the Leaky Cauldron responded a bit confused.
If he remembered correctly, Jerry had just met him yesterday and checked in. How could it be "long time no see"?
